Yes it’s a beautiful road for sure. I did it again on the return from Austria all the way from near Innsbruck to Lugano.

How is the bike to live with daily?
i'm thinking about buying the 1250GSA with the 30liter tank

I won’t lie it is a big bike and it is heavy, however it is one of the easiest bikes to ride I’ve ever tried. Even though it is heavy, and you’ll feel it if you’ve to pick her up, stay tuned to the channel for more on that, you don’t feel it at all when riding. You can throw her into the bends like a sports bike nearly. It is very comfortable, I’ve done over 5000 kms on 12 days on the bike in this trip and I’m big, old and heavy and I got to the end of it hoping I’d have another 12 days to ride rather than wishing to go home. For me if you can only have one bike, there’s nothing better out there that I’ve ridden. I have not ridden the new multistrada. I’m hoping to do a test ride sometime on that but between this and the 1290 SAS or the Triumph there’s no comparison. The 1290 is a hooligan? The triumph feels too heavy and the GS is just in the sweet spot for me. The 30 litter tank you mention, is fantastic especially in a long trip like this. But I must say that if you’re riding with others you’ll end up stopping every time they stop too. They’ll need fuel you can go to the gents. ;)
If you’re in the market and can I’d say try as many bikes as you can and you’ll know th one fairly quick.
Do let me know how you get on with your quest to get one.

@@admiralgl1390 Oh I bet you are my friend, it is going to be a late Christmas in April this year! The bike is awesome in all weathers and terrains. Granted there are lighter more nimble bikes off-road but the GSA, in the right hands (and I emphasize that) can go anywhere anytime.
