I have been interested in one of these to run a small fridge. Wondering if it would be enough power to keep a fridge cold overnight and would then charge up fully during the day either from the van 12V source or solar panel. Seems like a relatively inexpensive way to power something like that.
Can you measure the output voltage while it is powering a small device and report the voltage? I believe it will show low voltage which is not good. I am not seeing any reviews check the output which seems unusual. Low voltage is not good for electronic devices
Hey Jarrod!!! Just getting caught back up. Thank you for the personal insight into your world. I agree with a lot of those sentiments. Have fun, be careful out there and Thank you for sharing.
I never really notice a Boston accent when you talk, then while watching your home movie I hear ur mom say “You workin hawwwd?” I’m thinkin man he must really work on losing it.🤣Congrats on ur Sox coming thru & thanks for the review & deal on that Jackery. I gotta get one.
Have you done a specific video showing your woodworking storage/shop? I’m a finish carpenter & woodworker and am looking for ways to fit all my tools in the “garage” part of a van or bus while also create living space for my family of 4.
@@createlovehappy are you going cordless? I talked to a Milwaukee rep recently and he told me that they plan on having almost every cordless in the next 5 years. I feel that's where things are going with the strength of batteries getting better. Now I'm probably like you and was raised around tools so we both know there's nothing better then a power cord tool but cordless certain tool will be interesting to see
Progeny much better bang for the buck. JACKERY 290...292 watt hours. 350 bucks. 78 amp hours Progeny 280..280 watt hours....199 bucks. 67.5 amp hours You could buy TWO PROGENY....for 50 bucks more. And have 560 watts hours or...135 amp hours.
What is the objective of the new van build? Different chassis, bigger, smaller, what? I'm really interested in what you might create. This van G.H.O.S.T. is a nearly perfect design for the small footprint. I'm interested in what you think you are missing. Thank you
So I agree with you that I don't think I'm missing much or anything. In the new van I'm planning on getting systems that are superior to my current ones which means more money. Do I need to, probably not. I will probably go smaller to challenge myself but the more I plan the harder that is getting. Best way I could put this is if my current van is worth $60k my next one will be over $85k. I also might go 4x4 but also unnecessary. Honestly I'm still unsure on a lot of decisions and that's a lot of the fun of bringing everyone along for the ride. You'll see my ups and downs as I go and it should be more real then a lot of "fake" I've seen. Should be interesting is all I can say
@@daviddionne8296 I'll agree with you that most vanlifers do run out of ideas. But I'll also say I'm not most. I don't lack the ambition and drive to continue to keep bringing content. Helps that I have a degree in architecture engineering and I'm a stand up comedian so bringing content of my VanLife plus my travels and comedy world will be all part of it. Therefore "running out of ideas" is not even in my mind.
I use my MSI laptop, which is a gaming laptop while plugged in to it and it runs about 87watts. I charge mine then will turn off the Jackery but it takes about 3 hours to charge and I get about 2.5 charges to my laptop until the Jackery needs to be recharged. So mine gets about 8 hours for my laptop and I'd guess yours is maybe 10 hours with that wattage.

I like the back splash tile. I would like to see a van covered inside with that tile, all four sides. Is that possible? California fans of your channel may consider taking local adult school classes in wood working, welding, solar panel installation (should be able to lift forty pounds), and CAL OSHA test preparation. CAL OSHA saves lives! You memorize hundreds of codes, drive around and inspect building sites, fill out paperwork. You are not allowed to do any physical labor as a CAL OSHA code enforcer. You can get fired if you pick up tools and get involved. The instructor, Martin, teaches at a number of adult schools and American River Community College near Sacramento. @@JarrodTocci I see so many folks selling these on their channels they aren't real reviews but infomercials. I've bought several similar batteries for far less than the Jackery, it's overpriced.
@@flipperbear9 the Jackery company has made a huge push to get their name out there so I won't disagree with you there. This isn't a battery but more so a power source. Seems that the Jackery people sent these things to almost every vanner...so many reviews lately.
Thank each and every one for for the commerical, hopefully you didn't subscribe to.
W Peters jackery has been very aggressive with their word of mouth marketing. It gets pretty redundant seeing these jackery reviews.

says he cant say draw...... then goes and says draw 99 times in the video :D
DUDE IT TAKES 7 hours to charge..... terrible charge rate
David Norman yes. That’s the major drawback of jackery. If you get 2 days of no sun and you’re charging laptops, phones, etc it won’t keep up.
U even can say how much time and percentage the device do when its charging with the van on Road..
Your too cute jarrod wish I could buy your van

Greetings from NB Canada
People are gonna start pulling paperwork on the posers soon like "lets see your eviction notice fool! You aint no real vanner"
You say draw the same way Midwesterners say it... which is the standard accent
Can you charge devices with that while ITS being charged?
Great question. I haven't personally tried that but I don't see it harming the unit. I can test that out and let you know
