The marketing did this movie so dirty. I had NO idea what it was actually about. When I saw it months late it shot up to the top of my favorite Disney movies. It's unbelievable.
Precisely.
I decided to try it months later after launch, on a whim, and I discovered a wonderful little gem of a movie.
That is thanks to fake movie fans that spreads false information about movies. These trolls made the world watched another movie when this one was on the big screen. Thr movie everyone ended up watching, was total crap. This is why you NEVER read rotten tomatoes and other movie cridet websites.
i only heard about it bc i worked at a movie theater over the summer
@@zoew_ I work at theatre 😁 I was thinking of working at a theater. Is it fun?
@@OneAndOnlyZekePolaris yeah it’s pretty chill. there’s a lot of down time though so it can get a little slow sometimes. but you get free movie posters so its worth it😂
Fun fact, for extra cuteness, one of the original/scrapped endings had Wade and Ember coming back to Element City many months later with a little steam baby.
STOP
@@emmadye6782TwT
That was true @@emmadye6782
…So they did IT…?💀
@@Cinnamonilovecake One would assume so, yes 😂
This is not "disney animated movie" it's another pixar movie (despite being part of disney it's not the same). Pixar always has been in another level in general.
very true
Disney makes movies that has unalive parents.
but tbh this movie was made so they could test fluid animations in more detail
@@flopjul3022 Something they already done.
I'd contest Encanto is better, but that's my personal take. But in general Pixar is better, yes.
The part at the end where she bows always gets me cuz she gave her dad the bow so he could do it back when his dad wouldn’t do it back to him 😭❤️
With that bow, she was healing his trauma, showing her respect and love for him while fulfilling their dreams for each other. 😭 It made me cry so hard.
i feel like she didn’t catch that scene
Fun fact: Ember and Wade being able to touch is also based in real life science, just like everything else in the movie. It's called the Leidenfrost effect, which is when water comes into contact with a hot surface like Ember, it creates a protective layer of steam which acts as an insulator for Wade, keeping him from vaporizing and by extension, Ember from getting extinguished.
OMG someone else who has heard of it!
I thought I was alone in that LOL
When science actually comes in use for making a hidden part of the story line without being obvious yet is still beautiful at the same time. 😊😿
You were right, Ange. Elemental was directed (and co-written) by Peter Sohn, the son of Korean immigrants who based many of the elements of this movie on his childhood experiences
This movie deserves MUCH better marketing. Especially as their first rom-com. Sohn also directed The Good Dinosaur- which I feel is very underrated but is so beautiful
The thing about the bowing is such a sort of throwaway line but then when it comes around again it's like an emotional punch in the face
"Do that Disney thing, where there's a loophole." That was so cute.
This was an underrated Pixar movie. I'm glad that I had a chance to see it in theaters.
Disney Pixar
21:48 This might seem like an obvious thing to notice, but Ember is LITERALLY the light in Wade's eyes.
They're great together because he keeps her on her toes and helps her believe in her dreams, and she grounds him and helps him find something worth fighting for rather than moving on like he did with all his previous jobs.
you calling Wade cute/adorable makes me so happy, like what the heck??? why is he so babygirl
he did NOT have to hit me that hard with that "You must have been so scared..." line, the fact that he understood how terrified a kid would've been in Ember's situation showcases his empathy and compassion for others❤❤
Damn it I'm always such a sucker for men like him every single time 😭
I love this movie so much. The animation on the fire, water, and air people is amazing and the powers and abilities they have are are very creative, I love how they created an entire original language for the fire people, the music is awesome, and I like the arc Ember goes through.
Fun fact: Ember switching colours when she steps on the minerals is an example when fire mixes with other element compounds like you put emerald into fire and the fire will turn green
Nimona is a surprisingly good movie. Worth a watch and good react vid
I second this!
yes!!!
Heck yeah!
This movie wasn't anything I was expecting the first time I watched it. It really surprised me how visually stunning it was. This is now one of my favorite animated movies.
It’s been a while since a Pixar movie made me full on bawl my eyes out. As a family who immigrated to Canada in 2001 from the Philippines, my family and I collectively bawled. My parents saw themselves in Ember and Wade. The fact that they’re Sagittarius and Cancer is pure coincidence. And Ember being the in family business and feeling the pressure that taking over brings, it was too real for me.
Fun fact! Peter Sohn was also the voice of Remy's brother Emille in Ratatouille!
I saw a small documentary on the director and it was largely inspired by him and his korean immigrant parents. Peter Sohn was also an inspiration for Russell from the pixar movie UP hahaha
korean references in this movie (so proud to be korean😆)
1. feeding wade the hot firestones is feeding spicy kimchi to foreigners
2. “father” in fire language is “ashfa” which is made similar to “appa”= “father” in korean
3. the bowing scene is similar to the korean traditional bow called “jeol”
I don’t get why this movie gets so much hate. This is one of my top favourite Disney movies. It’s creative funny, and very heartwarming to watch. Especially Ember and Wade as a couple. They are destined to be together forever. Them dancing together and that kiss. My heart literally melted. It’s a perfect movie in my opinion.
There needs to be a sequel to this movie for sure, expanding on their relationship.
Fun fact: They were actually deleted scenes, where Wade proposes to Ember, and Ember and Wade and Bernie are playing with Ember and Wade’s steam baby. I really wish that was put in the movie. Hope they do it in a sequel.
Loved your reaction, Angelina.
I do think they will show more of these characters and world eventually. There’s way too much potential not to further explore. Especially considering it eventually found success at the box office despite a slow start and later on streaming which it became a top streaming hit on Disney+.
I think even if we don’t get a full length sequel we will definitely at least get shorts and / or a miniseries like they’ve done to other properties
There's a dedication to the directors parents at the end of the film. Very sweet. Also there's a whole backstory episode on Disney+ where the director talks about his childhood and everything that went into making this film. It's a good watch, especially if you can relate. My family has had roots in my country for at least 350 years on my mothers side, and probably a lot longer on my fathers side. Still it gives a nice insight for those of us that don't have this experience.
PLEASE REACT TO "SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON"! It's a story about a strong, beautiful horse with a spirit that can never be broken.
I cry every time I watch it! It's a INCREDIBLE film, and the songs are so cool! But it's not a musical and the animals can't talk. 😭💔🔥
YES!!! It’s crazy that I also recommended this masterpiece of a film to another TH-camr not too long ago. Thank you, elinswan8174. I’m so happy to meet another believer of this Gen Z classic of Dreamworks. Let’s spread the word to many more to come.

Yes!
The film that got me interested in both horses and Bryan Adams.

Wow such an inspiration I had to quote her
i’m at a basketball game for my nephew but yes this movie is so good!! my best friend and I cried while watching it in theaters! I cried before hand too because they had an UP short. it was so good I will forever watch it.
I was literally sobbing along with you by the end. This movie makes you feels things, man 💞 Thanks for watching it
Generational Trauma always hits hard
This was the first Pixar movie to ever make me cry. No other Pixar movie has gotten even close to making me sad so that just goes to show how good it is

@@alwandemthethwa7594 yea I really connected to this movie
@@eseschannel12 good for u, heck even tho I didn't have much to relate to on it, I still cried at certain moments
I feel like this movie is underrated and sometimes, not very well-received. I feel like everyone I talk to besides my family doesn't like the movie a whole lot or believe that the world-building of this movie couldn't work with the elementals as well with the chemistry between Wade and Ember. A lot of people I talk to don't like how much Wade cries, they say it's too much, but I like that it's part of his character, he's just a great listener, compassionate person and a great boyfriend! I like how men can be emotional because sometimes they believe they can't be, but it also makes sense with his element being water. I wish people would be more open-minded and would give this movie another chance or just a chance. This has got to be my favorite animated movie of last year along with Across the Spider-verse and The Boy and the Heron. The visuals are spectacular, I love how colorful and creative it is, especially the character animations. I love how it's an original concept in a world full of prequels, reboots, and sequels. This is my new favorite recent Pixar animated movie. I liked this more than Luca, Soul, and Turning Red, though I really liked Onward. I love the love story between Wade and Ember, the only thing I wish this movie did was explore more of the elements like earth and wind, but I get that that's not part of the main story. Also, the ending could have used a bit more work, especially with the whole fake-out death that is used in a lot of animated kids movies. But I loved the music especially the new song Steal the Show but Lauv.
I think this is the most beautiful animated movie I've ever watched. And not only visually, but the themes it touches. I cried so much 🥲
This cute little film is near and dear to my heart. It reminds me so much of my relationship with my best friend growing up who was a 2nd generation Chinese girl, and her personality is so much like Ember's. And this may be extra but I also headcanon Wade and his family as being black like me because of his voice actor lol, and I relate to the overall openness of his family a lot too. His and Ember's relationship helped me recontextualize some of the moments my BFF and I had together, where we had to work to understand each other's differing backgrounds and emotional processing. So this movie really brings a smile to my face. :')
Idk why the marketing was so bad for this movie. When i finally watched it, i was blown away by the animation and the story!!
OMG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU SPECIFICALLY TO SEE THIS MOVIE FOR SO LONG!!!!!!!!!
i wasn't too enthused about this movie until i finally decided to watch it back in september and i wish i hadn't waited so long! it's so sweet and tugged at my heartstrings in just the right way :')
I loved how this movie showed that opposites attract even if you're not from the same kind or in Wade's case, the same element
I suggest "The Neverending Story"
this has become one of my favorite movies in a long time. great reaction. it would be great if they made a tv series out of this where they could follow several families of different elements, along with following her marriage to wade and how their lives change for good and bad. could be an epic tv series if done right.
I love how invested she was in this.
I absolutely love the Indian musical elements in the songs, it's so subtle and beautiful
The ending with the bow got me UGLY CRYING
It absolutely love ur pfp, It makes me giggle even time I look at ur videos and ur attitude! I love your spirit! Keep it up girly! ❤😁
I remember hearing mixed reviews about this film so I decided to give it a go and……it’s now one of my favourite Pixar movies of all time everything from the animation to the soundtrack and the story is so beautiful. This is exactly what I never thought I needed a room com from Pixar that has an amazing message, a 10 out of 10 Pixar/ animated movie
This movie always has me in tears
I was waiting to see your reaction to this movie =D It is great ;_; Love the world and everything in it. Thanks for reacting to this =)
I saw this in theaters twice and it was so cute literally Ember and Wade are such a perfect couple even though they both have different unique talent. It’s so perfectly wholesome and Wade is a definition of a great boyfriend that shows he truly loves and cares for Ember.
Yes, Peter Sohn is Korean-American
This became my favorite disney movie immediately after watching. Im so sad i didn’t go see it in theaters. But it’s SO good!!!!! Deserves all the hype. Deserved the Oscar
Loved your reaction, I loved this movie that much too!! Wade is such a great character, I can’t wait for a second movie!
I've been waiting for you to react to this one 😁
Hey you should watch the documentary about this film and its director, he has such a great story and explains his inspiration, drawing from his past and his upbringing as a second generation person living in America. Please watch it, even if you don't record it. Its so worth a watch.
That movie hits home a bit... I don't know if they had such kind of a situation in mind, ... But being in an LDR, not being able to touch each other, and with so many sceptical people in the world that deem such relationships as unworkable, I feel it hard... But me and my girlfriend have been making it work for 5 years already.
When the dad bowed back, 😢 I was surprised I started to tear up. It's such a deep movie.
How did this movie not win an Oscar
I don't know how this movie goes under the radar! It's one of the best and an instant classic. So relatable. So good. The commentary was pretty good too 😄
I can't stop weeping because of this movie, like imagine you and your soulmates are polar opposites but yet you both are such a harmonious couple 😭😭
Saw this in the theater with my daughter. It was just as good as Raya and the last dragon.
They make such wonderful animations nowadays. So much meaning and heart.
Love how you can watch the same film with two different reactors and get two totally different viewings.
0:07 Just as I was enhancing my phone's brightness.. I got flashbang lol
love your reaction! especially when they first touch xD
I really love this movie and I cried with you, I got so so emotional also. I would love to watch this again and again
Omg yasss I love you so much this is my favorite movieee
I felt like this move was Pixar's version of Romeo and Juliet but they don't both die
11:43 the little ANGELINA on the left makes me laugh
Angelina this movie is also related to me too , it’s not just between immigrants, but between two races. I watched the movie with my wife and sons, every one was muted because was too meaningful to us. Now is more easy to see white/ black married but 30 years ago it wasn’t.
Good reaction girl
I wish the best for you, keep follow your heart ♥️ ♥️❤️❤️ and don’t listen to anybody.
Many millions of people are touched by this movie, races, religious, war between families, your enemy neighbors, family traditions and business between families.
Angelina I love this movie and its my favorite movie, this movie is good and Ember and Wade give me hope I'll find a special someone
I had no idea what this movie was about, but it just showed up on my feed so I gave it a shot. It was really good. The creativity and concepts were awesome.
I'm not even kidding when I say this is one of the best romance films I've ever seen.
Glad that you watched this❤ really enjoyed it❤
15:58 I love how you immediately went from laughing to saying how depressing that game is. 😂
The first time i tried to watch this i was in a relationship with someone that was NOTHING like wade. And like many other romantic movies, i only felt sad when i watched it... I didnt even finish the movie the first time around because of it. My bf at the time was not very empathetic, he had poor communication, and it always felt like he was holding me at arms distance. Well i eventually broke up with him, and awhile later i started talking to a new guy. A guy that is so similar to wade, that when i rewatched the movie, i cried on multiple occasions. I had actually found someone who was caring, compassionate, supportive and so so sweet. If you find yourself in a similar situation, i encourage you to take the scary leap and leave... You may feel like youll never find someone else, but you will. And if youre persistent, youll find someone incredible
Saw this movie with my wife and kids.
My wife is in to Zodiac signs.
She's an Aries, I'm a Cancer.
It's not suppose to work but it does. This movie is cute :)
nooooo cause why does the 'is he in that bucket?' make me laugh so hard XDXD
Great reaction.
Apparently there was an idea for a scene that was cut. In it Ember and Wade return to element city with a child that is made out of steam.
You should watch The pirates of the Caribbean movies next!!
Loved your reaction as always💗
You should check out society of the snow, i would love to hear what you have to say about that one
Please react to films from the golden age of Disney I friggin love your energy
I lved this movie
Was crying with you and I’ve seen it multiple times 😭😭😭
Omg the grabby claws when having feelings ❤😂same
Oh thank God someone else who gets the movie. So many TH-camrs do not get that. This is a interracial love story with elements. Thank you wo much. I loved your reaction.
These two are really steamy together! 😂
When i went to see this last summer, it made my mum cry 🥲
This movie is so good ❤
7:56 this part is got to be the most hilarious scene ever when I saw it in theaters 😂😂😂
The marketing team did absolutely horrible with this release. I saw just a few ads on TH-cam, and I saw all these negative reviews. So, I put off watching it until I was bored on disneyplus one day and decided to give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised, and being the child of an immigrant mother this movie touched me. I cried so hard at the end with the bowing scene, cause my new husband and I are a lot like Ember and Wade. I am moving to another country with him in a few weeks, and that scene just made me think of how I will have to part from my parents.
That grass edit was hilarious
I've seen this so many times and i still teared up everytime 😭
The sobbing yay clap was all of us
This movie made me cry so much its so cute T-T
Underrated
Phew, this is a steamy movie. Don't worry, I'll see myself out
By all means, stick around!
Angelina Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
I think this movie is really great without the bit right before the climactic flood. Wade inturrupting the ceremony + his incapability to understand the implications of Ember actually pursuing what she wants put me off a bit. Idk, it felt a little bit like a savior moment. Such a gorgeous film nonetheless, I love it's message. I just wish they handled the end a little better.
I really liked the voice cast for this movie. :D
I’m so glad you loved this movie as much as I do! I don’t get why so many people don’t like this movie. It’s amazing. ❤️
“And then the fire nation attacked” 🤣

I avoided this one when it was airing just because of all the negative talks about it but then decided to watch it with my family this month and actually loved it and cried at the end too.
i was glad i saw this on disney plus
I watched this in the theater, I remember the person sitting beside me had an entire lunch laid out in her seat
