It was a pretty cool factory silver color instead of that atrocious muddled pinkish red turd that you rode. The Fury is a great bike for those that want a bulletproof, reliable bike that doesn't look like all the other boring metrics out there. Much like most Harley's and Indians, its built for those for whom their bikes are an extension of their personality.
I had a honda vtx1300...pretty much the same bike with a different body. Only thing that kept me from buying 1 was the 5 speed. I remember how much it sucked on the vtx. Ended up buying a harley softail slim. Bigger motor and a 6 speed.
I kinda liked them when I first saw them, didnt really know what to think, eventually got to test ride one that had minor modifications on it, since then Ive been trying to sell my 2014 HD UL, already have the build all planned out, they have body/faring kits that make them look like wicked stretched baggers. and it dont take much for mods to boost their power output. the VTX motors they use in the furies are amazing. they also went back to the single pin which gives it more of the the thud thud thud sound REALLY should check out Fury body kits...

I was off of bikes 15 yrs. Driving home one day a commercial came on from a local dealer telling "me" to "come get ya a bike ya know you wan to.." I pulled in walked around asked questions etc when I spotted a bike still in its crate on the delivery truck. Couldnt really tell what it was but I could see it was different. Salesman "oh thats the new Fury. Come check this baby out." (I rode a 2012 cpl years ago so knew what THAT one rode like) He pulled the cover off the crate...I bought it right then and there. Still crated! No tires or seat yet. No lights. Had to wait 2 days to pick it up. LOVE this bike. 18 months and 9,800 miles later...I still do. Like to have another gallon of gas but ok I stretch my legs at 130-140 miles lol. Have rode NC to NYC and NC to Chicago and was a joy. 6th gear would better but even at 80-85 on interstate it never lagged and I passed traffic whenever I wanted. Thought bout trading or selling for a HD or Indian. But nah. They can wait til next year...Im keeping my Fiona!!!
Back in 2010 i seriously considered buying a fury, but decided on a harley 48. I felt like the harley was more "authentic", and super cool. I always wondered what if i spent the same money on the honda and made it awesome. To be completely honest i still like the style of the fury, and if i had the dispensable income i wouldn't mind having one in the garage.
Been riding for 39 years and have owned them all, this is a great bike, they dress up really nice, handle great and are comfortable and reliable, and yes, you will get crowds around your bike admiring it's long sleek and slinder lines
The problem with trying to bob this bike is the frame cut. I owned one and wanted to do that myself but it makes it sketchy to me. But they are a blast to ride. More of a bike show or bar hopper bike. It can't hang on the interstate because of the speeds and the gas range for the tank is 120 miles or so. So it is not made to be more than what choppers are for.
I love my Highly modified Fury! I bought it new and have enjoyed it for many years. Airride, custom pipes, custom tank, custo leather seat risers....etc.. The fury is still popular today. I got a Guhl tune before the EPA made tuners nervous.
I have never seen so many positive comments about anything on you tube as there are about the honda fury I have one and its freaking gorgeous. Rides incredible. It would be a sin to change anything on it. There may only be one person who should not have one and that would be this narrator. he admits it handles great. he just keeps talking about changing it. DO NOT CHANGE anything. that engine, my friend who is a motorcycle instructor at the jr college and also a motorcycle mechanic, told me is the best Honda ever made. Its indestructible.
My 2018 with a ECM flash and a stage one and I'm running about 95 hp and a little over 100 FPT. I run with my friends on there HD, Indians and Triumph bobber. It has no problems keepin up or cruising with.
It's kinda funky but....I just did a 300,000mi service on a 2004 VTX1300 that I've worked on since new. Yup....300k. It's had 4, maybe 5 clutches, a few fork seals, probably 20 or so sets of tires, and countless oil changes, and 1 set of throttle cables. The guy is a super commuter at 180mi a day. As a mechanic, you just can't fault that kind of longevity.
I have the Honda Interstate - Chopper Bagger for Old Geezers...LOL Love the Low Rider Styling! Many comments on styling! Plenty Fast Enough! Raked out cornering will surprise the newbies... My 4 gal tank is only good for 150mi... The Fury tank has what, 100mi range? and I wish my bike had more range!
Counter steer helps with u turns. Sold my 2010 in 2015. Bought my 2019 Fury Valentines Day. Only changes Ive done are 2in risers, LEDs, slip ons and mini boards...Rode it on 2 month trip from NC to NY and across Midwest to Vegas and back. Only complaint is gas tank. One more gallon would've been nice but...Fury On!!!
I own a 2007 Honda CBR 600RR and a 2013 Victory Vegas 8-Ball. I’m planning on buying a Fury and turning it into a bobber. Yo! Just as I was typing my comment about turning one into a bobber, you said it!
Take all the reflectors off, put a 200 back tire on and a lowered fender with built in led turn signals. Ditch the mirrors get a set of pipes and a tune and its a GREAT ride
I am not a motorcycle snob. Ive owned metric bikes and Harleys. Honda fury and Harley electra glide are my current bikes. The Fury is phenomenal. Fast.handles good. Fun. Inexpensive.reliable. I lost all my keys about six months ago. Had new ones made yesterday cost me close to 400.00. The fury started right up. I took it to the car wash she ran like a top. I love it. Oh yeah some guy at the car wash said nice bike. Ive got zbars on it 8 inch risers. Solo seat. Drag pipes. Free flow intake. And a power commander fuel management system. Sob is fast. What Harley should be building. Water cooled, fuel injection, soft tail. Seemed pretty stable when you took your hands off the bars. With fuel injection you should be able to turbo charge it. You didn't mention it was shaft drive, among other things.
Hey yo Dan! (That was in that Keeps accent.) I just bought my second Fury. Fight me! But for real my cars break and try to kill me enough so I want at least one vehicle to be reliable. The irony that one of my motorcycles is arguably my safest (the way I drive it vs my boosted cars) and most reliable vehicle is not lost on me 😃. By the way we gotta run the C6 vs the C8 legoooooo. ( yes I’ll drive to ATL I paid for a wrap from Justin almost a year ago so should get that some day 🤦♂️
I almost bought one of these, but decided on the Yamaha Roadstar Warrior. I think the Fury could be a killer bike. It just needs too many changes to make it not so.......gaudy looking
I prefer the Stateline myself. Same engine and price range as the Fury and less chopper looking while still having some great looking lines. Plus saddlebags and whatnot, as it's more of a tourer.
Cuzzin Dan speaks the true language. I'm going bald and it doesn't bother me, I'd buy it and forget to use it. If I was a woman not only would I be pregnant a lot but I'd misplace the children too and forget I owned some and whatnot. Japanese accent would have been interesting tho....to see how terribly awful it would have been :D I honestly think it's a cool bike too :D The thing about them is I'm glad Honda occasionally lose the rag and build something mental, that's how the Magna came to be etc etc. CBX all those mad bikes comes from the same brain fart as the Fury and I love it.
Okay.. gave you "hands off the keyboard until the end" as you requested. And, at/near the end you seemed to enjoy the ride... but... whatcha' got there is pretty much a 'stocker.' Aftermarket pipes but still baffled, stock intake, which probably means no fuel-ignition tweak. So... put on a hi-flow intake, a dyna-tuned PCV or flashed ECU, yank the baffles outta those Cobra sweeps and THEN you got a BEAST. At 1300cc's it won't make 'tons' of HP, but it WILL scoot. Those who scoff at choppers have probably never rode one ... coz it's totally BITCHIN'! The geometry, rake & trail, of the FURY was really well thought out so it handles awesome. At that intersection... hell dude, you had 1.5 acres to make that U-ey and, like you found out with the peg scrapes, you can cut it pretty tight. Confidence & skills are more a factor than the bike. The Fury is not for wimps or introverts. Everywhere I go it gets stared at. People gawk and gather around asking questions. It's a fun way to meet other riders and way more fun to ride. Like Adam says, "Get the damn bike!"

DMoney Industry okay? what was the point of saying that
@@McSeamless to be edgy probably. Like when a famous person dies, they are the first tk say. "WHO" as if their lack of knowledge makes them less relevant.
This will be my first bike. I'm so excited...when I get one😁
me too today gonna buy it
5:50 got dan demonetize😂😂😂😂
SLOWBOY Bk pretty sure I set a distance record spitting my drink out laughing
I actually got an NRA advertisement at the end of the video. I just let it play while I scrolled the comments.
My ex-brother -in-law had one. I was very surprised how comfortable it was to ride because I was expecting it to be shit. His looked pretty sick too because he replaced the bars, mirrors, air cleaner, pipes, rear fender and seat with aftermarket. It was a pretty cool factory silver color instead of that atrocious muddled pinkish red turd that you rode. The Fury is for people who want a chopper but don't have $25k to spend and want a reliable daily to cruise on.
1300cc lighter frame compare to harley will run faster than harley
ec ec uhm itmhas the same 0-60 as a sportster 1200.. its slow asf
This was GUD and I liked it a lot 👍
You should try one and show it on your channel.
It’s way better then any pos Harley ever built
Thank the lord for finally blessing us with do it with dan motorcycle content
I kinda liked them when I first saw them, didnt really know what to think, eventually got to test ride one that had minor modifications on it, since then Ive been trying to sell my 2014 HD UL, already have the build all planned out, they have body/faring kits that make them look like wicked stretched baggers. and it dont take much for mods to boost their power output. the VTX motors they use in the furies are amazing. they also went back to the single pin which gives it more of the the thud thud thud sound REALLY should check out Fury body kits...
Dan, my heart sank when I saw the title of this video. I recently got a fury. It's the second bike I've owned and I absolutely love it. I see your negative points and I won't disagree but honestly I am happy you reviewed it. Your positive point about the bike solidified my decision in purchasing this bike. Thank you and I can't wait for the next review.
Had mine since 2010, best bike I’ve ever owned!
My Fury is my favorite toy. It is what it is. It's a beefy power house that corners like a chubby kid trying not to drop his ice cream, and I love it that way.
Can you travel with it?
@@الوزير-د9ص I throw it in the back of my pickup truck and drive to the mountains all the time. I don't like spending more than 4 hours at a time on the bike though. It's for looks, more than confort... But I love it.
@@PrayYourGods
What I wanted to ask is it a reliable bike to ride 8 hours
I want to buy one for long distance traveling with a budget of 10000 dollars to buy a bike
@@الوزير-د9ص any cruiser of this nature can be difficult to ride such long distances. It’s all about posture and wind and a really great after market seat. If you have lots of long distance the bike is super reliable, but it’s not a great choice from a comfort standpoint. Best of luck!
@@PrayYourGods
Thanks man very appreciated
As a sport bike guy. I think that's the sickest looking cruiser.
I have a 2010 honda fury and I absolutely love it for my Sunday rides
Every Italian a little flustered right about now. I'm dying🤣🤣🤣🤣
This feels like Mr Regular possessed Dan.
Yeah it's cringe
The Fury is a beautiful bike for cruising. I'm constantly getting complimented for mine. If I wanna go fast that's why I have a cbr 1000.
IHasHeadphones what's the fastest you had your running? Found one DIRT ASS CHEAP and so happened this video came along lol
@@Red_D3v1l tops out at about 120-125. Not great for racing anyone but its wonderfully balanced. I'd highly recommend it. Like Dan showed, just be mindful of scraping pegs. Mines a 2017 and has additional metal protrusions on the underside of the foot pegs to prevent damage to them because it's such a well known issue.
IHasHeadphones if I want to scrape, I'll just jump on the grom 😂 haven't had a big bike in a couple of years but honestly got bit by the bug recently when I finally took a 1 1/2 ride on nothing but highways
The only person to make a sponsor promotion entertaining
This is the kind of videos we want Dan, not a 5000 year truck build
I have a 2010 that is grey in color with all sorts of aftermarket parts. Exhaust, programmer, handle bars, chin scoop, fenders, wheels, lights and more! I love it and it rides great.
Solid bike. I rode one a couple times. I wasnt disappointed. But I like my VTX 1800 much more. 😎
18 is OD fast
The vtx is twice the bike
I'd love to see you build a fury. my dad passed away on one last year and I plan to rebuild his.
(D) Y'all need to look up Custom Honda Fury...😉
I own a Black 2013 Honda Fury that has just over 13000 miles. It rides as good as the day I brought it and has never left me beside the road.
I love my Highly modified Fury! I bought it new and have enjoyed it for many years. Airride, custom pipes, custom tank, custo leather seat risers....etc.. The fury is still popular today. I got a Guhl tune before the EPA made tuners nervous.
I just got one and it’s a blast man. The power is about perfect, scoots down the road with ease and handles beautiful
I’m way too drunk right now to be watching the intro for this bike
Really nice to see a classic Dan video.
My uncle had a fury. He was a 630lbs rugby player, so you can imagine he man handled it.
The Fury is a good bike! I reviewed one myself and me being a sport bike guy, I loved it! Love the comedy! 😄
Been considering on looking at these bikes. Now that Dan has given his expert review, ima have to give it a try. Thanks 👍
Jay F my wife rides one and she loves it!
@@StevyFaux cool, i see them for sale cheap and wondered if they just werent any good. I want to tear one down and change a few things.
Jay F check out our channel we just did a bunch of cutting and changing to the wife’s bike.
I miss motorcycle content sooooo much! Loved this and it made my day better. Thanks Dan
Take all the reflectors off, put a 200 back tire on and a lowered fender with built in led turn signals. Ditch the mirrors get a set of pipes and a tune and its a GREAT ride
I saw one of these on a ride once. It was all black and it was loud af. I was impressed
Props to Dan for making the sponsor segment entertaining. Also why aren't you doing standup Dan🙄 you'd fucking kill
Its hard to hang on to.
So what happened to the vrod?
Honda needs to put the 1800 cc from the vtx in that thing then maybe it will sell
It sells just fine you imp
@@kodyking3090 I have never seen this bike on the road once. you may own one but that doesn't make them popular and beside y not throw a bigger engine in it
ginger squash put a tune, exhaust and intake and 0-60 is less than 5 seconds I think that’s just fine for a cruiser
@@kodyking3090 look I'm not saying your wrong I just think more people would be interested if it had the bigger engine
Could we get some sort of travelling series? Dan rides across America
Were did you get your helmet and how much was it ?
If I got one of those I'd throw the vtx 1800 motor in it to make up for power
Yes
there truly is a little bit of the macho man in all of us
Thanks for helping me get started on my channel.
My wife rides a Fury and she loves it! Great riding bike. Hers is all white and blacked out. That red looks a little goofy!
Adam that’s a big switch from a fury to a Busa. I hope she loves it!! Badass!
Adam if she still has the Street Glide and the Busa she is set for any kind of “How you feeling that day” ride. 😂
Hey! Some of us are gracefully going bald.....so keeps deez nutz! Anyway that shit cracked me up. You're like a Jack Black and having Randy Savage for a grandpa. I'm a now a subscriber. 🍻
( yes I’ll drive to ATL I paid for a wrap from Justin almost a year ago so should get that some day 🤦♂️
I felt obligated to watch this as a VTX owner and I felt this on a spiritual level lol
I almost bought one of these, but decided on the Yamaha Roadstar Warrior. I think the Fury could be a killer bike. It just needs too many changes to make it not so.......gaudy looking
Josh Gibson the warrior would crush this thing as far as power also...
I love my 2013 fury. Amazing bike. I only have 8k miles on it. This thing is going to last my life time.
Japanese accent would have been interesting tho....to see how terribly awful it would have been :D
I honestly think it's a cool bike too :D The thing about them is I'm glad Honda occasionally lose the rag and build something mental, that's how the Magna came to be etc etc.
I’d get a Harley Breakout over that
Fosho do something with this in the future! Make it loud and insulting haha
