@@doinks_inam1sh It’s funny you mention that. I didn’t start watching TH-cam until this year. Glad I waited because channels like Dans are great now. Even if YT wants to shadow ban them for dumb stuff.

I have 3 dogs. They have a ridicules sense of time. At 5:30 am they wake me up to go outside regardless of if they need to go, at 8 am they are sitting there staring at me for food, at 5 pm they are sitting there wanting a snack at 7 pm they want to play all three of them separately wanting to play... and it goes and goes and goes. If you choose to not do what they want well these are female dogs and really no different than a girlfriend, you are screwed.
yeah dont put grease between the spur and pinion gear. it just keeps dirt between the gears. there are ways to lock up your diff so you dont strip the internal gears. also stay electric. nitro and gas are finicky and fucky. i have the arma grom truck and its pretty fun and reliable. if you want something slow i def recommend scx24.
Dan, I don't remember the brand of the car. but when I was a kid my parents got me this wicked fast RC car that was 2 sided meaning if it flipped over it would drive upside down as well. The wheels were bigger than the body of the car and because of how fast it was it was super easy to wheelie it and even get it to flip on its rear axle flipping what side it was on and run off the opposite direction it was just facing. Oh also it would float and you could put it in the water and it would take off as well.
If you want one that is nearly impossible to break, get a traxxas maxx v2 .... I have tried to break it and can't. As for the screwdriver, I use the 4v ryobi screwdriver and 1/4 MIP hex bits. Never broken a bit after 2 years so far or stripped out.
Out of left field but if you're looking for inspiration to start a shop, while SEMA is always a good option, checking out some of the cool shops in Japan could be helpful! Some of the shit I've seen from places like Spoon, Weld, HKS, ASM Autobacs, Mines, Built By Legends, Midori-Seibi, and even more small shops just around there is pretty insane. Plus, it gives you a "good" reason to travel there if you wanna 😂

I am younger than you and therefore I lack life experience, but you are on the right track by chasing your purpose and not chasing happiness.
My old girl was the same but with light reflections, we had a little telescopic inspection mirror that she would go feral for when you angled it to the sun, much more cost effective than rc cars 😂 Demanded that shit as soon as there was a slight bit of sun, even up to her last few months with us she would be scratching at the kitchen drawer where it was kept 😅
Harper is an Aussie. We have one. They naturally herd and like to be chased. When you stop the car and point it at her and go she looks back while being chased and then circles back to chase the car. She’s herding its what they do naturally. Instead of spending money on RC cars, get another dog! My Aussie loves to herd our other two pups it’s what they do!
I highly recommend the arrma mojave grom. 149$ for a absolutely incredible basher. When i say that you can send it a good 30ft in the air to bare concrete and it drive off like nothing i mean it. Ive smashed mine into my own mailbox and it broke the mailbox and nothing on the truck except for the body. Theres videos on them but for a dog its the best all around yard sender and is really smooth on grass.
10 years ago I bought a Traxxas slash and my dog bearchased that thing around the yard for hours and put so many holes in the shell of even tied a ball to the back of it that thing has been though hell and still have it till this day same shell keeping it for memories my buddy bear is getting old he can’t keep up any more he’s now my old man I love my dogs life is short enjoy every moment you have
I'd probably consider with either arrma 3s or traxxas because there plastic and pretty darn rugged definitely more so then the Amazon brands, the 6s arrma line (typhon especially) is one of the toughest and easy to work on but probably a bit dangerous for the pup and ur ankles if u mess up where there metal chassis and shock towers, but good luck with your customizing ventures!
It probably wouldn't stand up to the dog, but when I was a kid I had some Twister or something that could flip itself around and drive on both sides and stuff.
I have to recommend getting into something like a Traxxas slash. Mine has been crazy durable even with upgrades. I break drive shafts before my diffs need any work.
I used to race rc cars and frankly the more you spend up front to get a good brand name car, the better it will hold up for you. While its not great for racing, a Traxxas slash in 1/10th scale would be perfect for the bashing you do. We did endurance races with slashes, running them for 5 hours straight with 3-4 different drivers. Helluva time. Anything smaller than 1/10th is a huge money pit because the parts are too fragile.
Go with an arma gorgon. Lots of fun, inexpensive, and tough as nails. I run 3s brushless setup in it and it handles it like a champ. I did have to upgrade the gear train from plastic to hardened steel but if your sticking with the brushed motor it's way over engineered.
Hope this helps Dan, Arrma, and Traxxas are practically as durable as you can get. If I had to recommend a specific line, I'd go with Arrma 3s lineup, either the granite, Senton, or Vorteks. Hope that helps. Ive never had to replace anything on my senton 3s. And I abuse it skateparks.
Dan I could totally see you assembling a team and do a format similar to gas monkey garage or something. If you already have the team, the shop, what’s stopping you? You already got the shells to make some kickass cars.
Get the Traxxas Maxx (WideMax). Its a super fun and sturdy rc truck that has longer arms which help prevent rollovers. Plus they have a self right feature that can flip it back over
I have a Arrma vorteks 3s that I’ve had for about two years and haven’t had to do much with it, I use it with my dogs and they have grabbed it and shaken it with out any issues.
You need a traxxas sledge, it's expensive. But it's fast, stable, and it's really hard to break it. Only thing I've done is snap a plastic knuckle after I ran it into a curb after my buddies and I got home from the bar 😂
The idea with making a shop is amazing I’ve dreamed of opening my own automotive shop one day, I’m a mechanic by trade so obviously I think this is a great idea and would love to be any help I can be “ set of hands in said new shop venture that is yet to be named” I’d do it
Dan, your business idea at the end of the video is beautifully said. I'm in the process of trying to do the same with my bud and PC's and electronics. I'll wish you luck, you wish us luck? Liked, ofc subbed. Good luck with your dream Dan!
GET A NITRO!! Takes a bit of trouble shooting but i think youll love it. Traxxas tmaxx 3.3 is a pretty cool truck and you can get parts at your local hobby store

Ive smashed mine into my own mailbox and it broke the mailbox and nothing on the truck except for the body. Theres videos on them but for a dog its the best all around yard sender and is really smooth on grass.
10 years ago I bought a Traxxas slash and my dog bearchased that thing around the yard for hours and put so many holes in the shell of even tied a ball to the back of it that thing has been though hell and still have it till this day same shell keeping it for memories my buddy bear is getting old he can’t keep up any more he’s now my old man I love my dogs life is short enjoy every moment you have
Go Traxxas, durable, replacement parts, any size, upgrade parts, lot of options.
Just keep the RC stuff on the ground. Once you get the RC plane bug, it gets really pricey. Been at it for almost 15 years.
Yes.. we do. I can give a recommendation! hahaha my last hike was 4.5 miles with our group.
Bro heatwave has been with dan forever. The loyalty is crazy.
"I wanna build custom cars and bikes"
Camera pans over to the magna with a dust coating and puddle of gas under it 😂
Traxxas is who I would go with. They are a lot easier to work on then others. plus parts are easy to find. The Bosch GSR12V-300HXN is great
Dan I could totally see you assembling a team and do a format similar to gas monkey garage or something. If you already have the team, the shop, what’s stopping you? You already got the shells to make some kickass cars.
Ive never seen your content before, but TH-cam recommended this video, and good call! I laugh out loud a few times! Good job sir!
Get the Traxxas Maxx (WideMax). Its a super fun and sturdy rc truck that has longer arms which help prevent rollovers. Plus they have a self right feature that can flip it back over
Arrma!!!!!! Been into rc for 30 years it’s so fun and makes me feel like a kid again! Actually just got back in from a bash session!
Me when I got my husky 4 years ago lol, she grew outof it though...
She never would flip it back over either
To make sure they don't strip out you need to shim the 2 big inside gears
A wild Dan has appeared in the chat
I have a Arrma vorteks 3s that I’ve had for about two years and haven’t had to do much with it, I use it with my dogs and they have grabbed it and shaken it with out any issues.
You need a traxxas sledge, it's expensive. But it's fast, stable, and it's really hard to break it. Only thing I've done is snap a plastic knuckle after I ran it into a curb after my buddies and I got home from the bar 😂
Traxxas slash vxl for sure! Tons of upgrades
Dan “I get backed up pretty quickly” 21:47
Do it with Differentials!
The idea with making a shop is amazing I’ve dreamed of opening my own automotive shop one day, I’m a mechanic by trade so obviously I think this is a great idea and would love to be any help I can be “ set of hands in said new shop venture that is yet to be named” I’d do it
Coworkers recently got me into RC’s. All went down hill after that, I’m hooked
"picture this but don't"
Dan, got me fucked up hahaha
Fing hilarious this was your dog's top requested video on your channel lol and here we are
Traxxas sidewinder or bandit would be perfect
5:47 that goes with cars aswell lmao. upgraded my vic broke something else that should have been upgraded lmao
This was a nice vid man. You definitely have talent for that type of stuff. I mean War Horse was a killer build. There is this one company in England that does some bobbers called Thornton Hundred. That would sell here in the US pretty welI would think.
You could be a stay at home dad. Imagine having a bunch of little Dan's and Laura's
Vessel makes a fantastic electric screw driver. Did you know they make remote control excavators? :)
Custom fab / vehicle build shop would be huge! Doctored by Dan shop in the queue
I have a RC car addiction as well Dan, It's okay.
Once you get the other projects finished, you could start something similar to Chase's WBR
HE FELL INTO THE RC TRAP! LETS GOOOO
💯
Well now its time to bust out my old Traxxas slash and pimp it out. Thanks a lot Dan....
