Ima Brit , you’re spittin straight facts n u got a really good outlook on the world. Feel like a lot of social media outcry’s are made by like 1% of the people. The other 99% either don’t care or genuinely have more important things to worry bout in their life . But the world only sees the 1% cryin. We need more people like you on social media with normal outlooks so the ‘woke’ don’t influence ALL of the kids on social media and quite a few mentally undeveloped adults tbf…
This is why he is one of my favorite comedians, along with Chappelle , Burr, and the great George Carlin. They are putting up a mirror to us all, and saying "Think"
You are not the only one. After 15 years being on social media.. from the old mirc chat rooms to MySpace to Facebook.. etc.. I decided to stop cold 2 years ago. The only "social media" I access to today, is youtube. And I can tell you this much, my mental well being improved dramatically. I returned to a life I lived before the internet was invented, well almost....
I still have a Twitter, but I rarely get on these days. My mental health is much better. Sometimes I have to even take a break from TH-cam. Or change up the kind of content I consume.
Social meda is making people anti-social, which is very ironic. Also reminds me of the saying "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist" (i'm not religious at all, btw, it's just very similar in aspect that social media conceals its true nature which is actually the opposite of what it seems to be)
It took my friends so long to convince me to use Facebook since its creation I kept refusing and refusing until I wanted to use it to catch up with family overseas
Love Ricky he's just a regular person not a egomaniac celeb probably because he didn't become famous untill he was well into his 40s and had just a regular job
2nd source!!! It is amazing that so many people don’t know that it’s a thing. Hell, check third source. Splurge a little. Seriously! U might surprise urselves.
The problem with Gervais's opinion is that - and I'm guessing he voted against Brexit - is that if people are too stupid to have a valid opinion on national policy, why allow them to vote at all? Shouldn't we be lead by a panel of "experts" instead..?
There is a big problem with the "If you have nothing nice to say, dont say anything" idea... The truth is often very unpleasant and not very nice. So if everyone were to follow this idiom, no one would ever speak the truth. There is a reason we have sayings like "The ugly truth" and "The truth hurts". "If you have nothing nice to say, shut up" is a tool of compliance from parents who doesnt want to argue with their children. Its an easy, straight forward way to teach kids to not be unecessarily mean. But like with most lessons for kids, it completely lacks neuance, cuz kids arent very good with neuance. This is also why these lessons are only for kids and should not be applied to adulthood. 'Nothing is ever black or white and nothing should ever be treated like it is. "If you have something nice to say, but its true and very important, you should say it anyway, no matter whos feelings get hurts" should be the adult version of this saying.
There's no such thing as facts. "Facts" are just an opinion that the current majority agree on. Give it a century or few & it will have changed. Sometimes majorly & sometimes slightly.
... why you don't apply that about opinion that are launched against others... to your religious beliefs? you're using your opinions trying to evangelize other innocent people that did't want that... religion is just another opinion, NOT a fact, nobody saw never once a god or whatever... then if you criticism it's against people doing opinions to others, do the same to religions, come on...
I agree. There is a saying "speech is silver but silence is gold".

Love Ricky he's just a regular person not a egomaniac celeb probably because he didn't become famous untill he was well into his 40s and had just a regular job

Oh, sorry about that! 🤪
2nd source!!! It is amazing that so many people don’t know that it’s a thing. Hell, check third source. Splurge a little. Seriously! U might surprise urselves.
❤
Try " Learn English with Ricky Gervais". Then you'll also be introduced to Karl Pilkington. They're like peas in a pod. Inseparable :)
I'm not in any social media. And no problems.
Thought you was megan good for a second 😇
more ricky garveys
In fairness, the bleach warnings are for children who are old enough to read.
But there’s no joke there.
A brilliant atheist comedian, beside the GOAT George Carlin, that I respect.
people look to be offended.. Wild.

So Ricky thinks that the vote isn't for everyone?
yore very beautiful . keep up the good work
The problem created by social media is that the stupid lost their shame.

Brexit would have been avoided if warnings on bleach bottles had been removed? Seriously? 555555
yeah, what about the starving kids in africa?
Labels on bleach "Do not Drink ' and Donald Trump wanted the CDC to inject Americans with bleach. FMD 🤦♂️ 🇺🇸 Good luck with that America.
he speals in true methapers---and you get most of it....cool...
Whay are not all girls like you.......
A comedian turned a fact into a joke and you try to explain his joke and turn it back into a statement?!
There's no such thing as facts. "Facts" are just an opinion that the current majority agree on. Give it a century or few & it will have changed. Sometimes majorly & sometimes slightly.
You're video is nice, but sadly: no link to the original video, therefore downvote
This girl: I'm on a hiatus from social media right now.
Posted on her TH-cam channel 💀
