Fun fact, the health reduction can be stacked up with one other version like the incantation or malikeths black blade weapon art. Making it roughly 40% health reduction

besides buffs, if you ever want to cheese the hell out of malenia with a weapon you can get mid-game, the bolt of gransax will be your best friend in that case. it has the longest range of any weapon art on a weapon, and can easily stunlock malenia with its lightning spear. pair that with some buffing incantations and the right build and youre dealing 5k+ damage each shot whilst keeping her stunlocked, basically a better version of the fallingstars beastjaw weapon art. you can also pair it with a greatshield and still guard while you are attacking. (it can also easily stun much larger bosses such as godrick)

The Falling Star Beats Jaw is the best weapon in the game for me and I’ve used them all at level 364. Its skill makes the game so so much easier. It’s also does some of the most damage per normal hit in the game. It really is a gem.
I wish the health reduction effects on the black knife and black blade actually did something to bosses and enemies. Like maybe make it permanent and give it like a secret meter. So you have to use the weapon art multiple times to get the effect. Otherwise its practically just visual, once the effect wears off, the boss goes back to having normal health and it doesn't really feel like you did anything
Since when you reduce the max health, you also reduce the current health, starting a fight with 2 out of 3 (black knife, black blade and malekith’s blade) means you instantly shave off 20% of the bosses health + however much damage the hits actually did. Pretty good way to start a boss fight lol
