The All-Seeing Arbiter in match 3 was surprisingly strong! Board wipes are always better for disrupting synergies of course, but the opponent couldn't deal any damage for a while, and you got to just keep seeing more cards.

there was several way to do something about it like kill him round before. And even after he can keep mana for conterspell and chanel land for example. Also tap all creatures instead of treasures since he had even withou that 50 mana.

36:22 I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it, stopping me from playing the game does not win you the game. Having only removal with no other semblance to deck building balance will lose you the game 99.99% of the time I guarantee it.
you need a really good reason to be running pact of negation in historic brawl. more often than not it'll just counter a spell at the cost of your turn. Jorn is one of the few commanders that can utilize the card perfectly fine outside of protecting a combo.
12:00 can someone explain to me why Volo is not returned to its owner? There some interaction between Thassa and Mind Flayer that I don't understand I guess.
what about parallel lives? just to get really silly i'm missing the 2 mana alchemy dork that draws cards in your list. on the other hand I'm grateful for every deck you publish that doesn't feature broken cards like that
Parallel lives actually doesn't work, parallel lives doubles creature tokens that are *created* and a copy of a permanent spell resolving into a token doesn't count as *creating* a token unfortunately. very confusing, trips up a lot of people
Menagerie Curator would indeed be pretty good, must’ve been filtered out when I got rid of Humans. At the same time I don’t mind sticking closer to a potential paper build.
that actually isn't lethal because the other player has +15 more health than what's shown on their life total since they have 10 food tokens and enough mana to sac 5 of them.
31:46 "so it was definitely within our grasp, if we had done the math correctly". I'm confused, you definitely weren't blocking that turn so I'm pretty certain calculating the damage was outside your jurisdiction.
@@LeFerret335 Normally I'm a big fan of sarcasm, but it feels kind of misplaced or off for it to be so. Besides, an intelligent man like legend would easily be able to spot the joke.
I have a question: If you bounce Shephard with a green spell on the stack, does that spell become counteralbe again? Or will Counterspell still not work then because the spell was put on the stack while being uncounterable? I know LDV didn't have the mana for both the chanel and the Counterspell, I'm just genuinely curious on how that interaction works. Either way, very cool game and deck
What about using the white queen from elddrine throne set as your commander, use that white enchantment +1/+1 equal amount of you control and have that mautate cat with life link and try to get 1,000 attack on it. I did not even in commander.
I thought that your commander changing zone gives you the choice to return it to the command zone. How come Thassa flickering Volo didn't let you do that? Do you need to control your commander?
So think of it like this. Zone changes let you take your commander, right? But zone FLICKERS don't, since it's one big action that has to complete before anyone gets priority again. So by the time your option to put it into the command zone comes up, it's already back on the battlefield, and nothing happens.
In match 2, volo gets flickered by an opposing thassa. Is it no longer possible to send to the command zone when something is flickered, or is that just an arena bug?
Text on Thassa says it comes back under "your control", so under the control of LVD's opponent. Also, since a flickering creature is treated as a "new creature", it loses the condition that binds it to the Mindflayer. So the opponent could effectively steal a creature every 2 turns, nasty combo.
since you use Overgrown Battlement, why not Sanctum Weaver, which is potentially much better. Another advise: Foundry Groundbreaker is a good second Simulacrum, even better at offending.
I've decided not to feature any games against Rusko until it's nerfed or put in a different queue. Had a similar stance when Golos was everywhere and they finally implemented a separate queue for those commanders.
Constant scooping is annoying. Even if I know the odds are against me, I will continue to play, unless my opponent is being an ass about it. Otherwise, the game is getting pointless if you are expected to concede 1-2 minutes into every game.

Match 3 has to be one of the games of all time. Pinnacle Magic the Gathering right there.
It unquestionably is. Also one of the greatest HB duels I've ever seen.
Brainless repetition

Incredible game 3 it shows that things can simple get out of hand and theres not much one can do about it all the time.
One can do something about it. Math, for example.
Imo there was no point tapping the treasures, considering the only thing oppo had was a lot of mana anyway thanks to nykthos

It's still 3 mana to draw 3 cards and possibly ramp at the same time while making two blockers. Any deck would be ecstatic with such a card.
