Esther, very nice natural bars! Although sometimes I like the pizzazz of micas, There's nothing like a gentle 100% natural soap bar. I think instead of titanium dioxide in the white, I would have used kaolin clay to give the batter a white appearance. Although this is a very pretty bar just the way it is.
I've been formulating and making soap for a little more than 11 years. I enjoy the formulating side more, but I still make soap at least 2 or 3 times a week. I love the process, it is very relaxing to me.
I think my biggest tip to new soapers would be to start small. 2# is a good size and learn to enjoy the process. Take your time and educate yourself about making a balanced bar of soap. Work to find a recipe that fits your values, know what type of bar that recipe makes and change things only if you are disappointed. Sticking to a good recipe insures your soap turns out well every time, because you know how your recipe behaves!
Look forward to the next video!

hi! not many videos emphasize on balanced bars especially with different materials. i’ve decided to incorporate the not so typical ingredients and formulate based on the fatty acids. i do appreciate the few people who break it down because there’s so muchhh to digest
Awesome tips ! I appreciate that . The world of soap making is definitely an interesting one . I love the look of micas too. It took me a while to find a recipe that I absolutely love . You are right about that it does take time and patience .
your videos are always so simplistic and clean. that bar looks amazing! i have some french clay on hand and i plan to pair it with avocado purée
Thanks so much! Your soap sounds amazing with the avocado purée 💕
Keep your puree at 2 ounces. More than that can cause issues with rancidity later. Good luck on your soapy journey!
Jill
