Why, how is the 1.6L turbo engine slower than the 2.0L? more HP usually equals more speed. @CarCoach I'm seriously thinking of buying one and was going to get the 1.6. help me make the right choice.
She made a mistake. The 1.6 turbo is much faster. I know because I test drove the SEL2.0 and this N Line. Now, I have this N Line FWD as my daily driver 😁
Great review! Again, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota and Mazda are so far ahead of the junk from the big 3 and honda.....💯🧐🥳 Now , let's see how long until we see the real N version. meanwhile, i will hang onto my 22 Kona N. 👍🤗 p.s. we have much better, smoother roads in Monroe County. 🤣
@@klasseact6663the only chance you have to get decent car from big 3 is to get a rebadged one that's built overseas. for years, most Buicks were just rebadged Opels and Daewoos, like new 24 Trax.
@jrs9264 I've had a couple cars from the Big 3: -2000 Ford Contour SVT (first new car) @51K the 3rd or 4th gear syncro wad crunching -2005 Chrysler Crossfire Limited...2 yrs, no issues That's my domestic new car ownership, funny thing is one car was basically a European Ford and the other had ZERO to do with America
🇺🇲🇭🇺☝️ Random thought Lauren. I know you're a professional but are there any Car Coach Reports bloopers or outtakes? If so, might be fun to see a couple of them. ☺️
@@CarCoachReports maybe just me, but I think it would be fun to see a few of those. Maybe include a couple at the end of your reviews or maybe make a short video of just a few of your favorite bloopers or outtakes just for kicks. 🎬😊
Car and Driver tested one of these. It went from 0-60 in 6.9 seconds. Each engine may produce varied numbers,as with each driver's skill and quickness to roll through the gears. This Kona is more refined than the last generation model. But their was an actual N model FWD Kona that had 286hp and the car had some serious stones. Running through thr qtr in about 13.5 seconds. That's 69 Dondge Charger Street HEMI quickness driving the wrong wheels. I like this version much better because it's more purposeful for everyday use in real life. And AWD offers better traction in snow brltd and ice cold climates.
agreed! looks more muscular.. hope next tucson takes design notes from it.. love basic engines, no turbos, no fancy transmissions such as dusl clutch, cvts NO THANK YOU!.. much more reliable..
Should have sold hybrid version in USA.
Hands down the best review I have seen for this model, and I have watched many 😄. Thank you!
Thank you 😊

Is the 8 speed automatic dual-clutch or conventional?
as far as i know, it's wet dual clutch.
@@jrs9264 Thanks. Sister has a 2021 Tucson with dual clutch and the shifts are not smooth.
that's why they switched from dry to wet clutch type . the dry clutch only had problem at stop, start 1 st gear, and only occasionally.

Hey...easy on the big three, they're fighting for what's there's...to build boring junk, some not even built here 🤪🤔🙄

Monroe county has nicer roads for sure

Oh there are plenty of those. I do appreciate the support. I’ll have to come up with something funny.

Thanks for adding this Bob
Very much not a fan of the trend for transmission column shifters. Plenty of room on the huge center console
I agree
Thank you for the amazing review. I have to test drive it soon.

Does it have the ability to disable the auto stop feature?
All fun and games till a kia or hyundai catch fire in your garage. Current recalls for 300k+ of them..... 😅

@@CarCoachReports auto correct changed my comment completely. Sorry about that Lauren.
Annnnd more expensive.
Great review as always, But with all of these recalls of Hyundai and Kia cars, I'm very leery.
There are none of those issues on this vehicle
Everyone has recalls
Lauren rockin' some Poison, might wanna switch up to some Detroit rock n roll Lauren😉
The front looks like a space shuttle from Star Wars.
Wow that front end is way too busy. And weird in a ugly way.

Cool fact about Lauren, she can sell an Igloo to an Eskimo. Her walk around makes me almost want this hideous car.
much better than any of the junk by the big 3! 💯💥🙄

Junk it. 32 million recalls
just a small fraction of the junk sold by the big 3.
