@@Brian_Eugene_Lee Chevy Nissan and Mitsubishi uses the same transmission from jacco cvt. Hyundai and Kia uses ivt which is the same the thing cvt on higher performance cars with higher trim level don’t have cvt.
I previously had a Kona highlander for 5 years. Loved it. Nothing wrong with it. Just decided on an update n line Kona. Oh my. I love it. I got the neoteric yellow. I’ve had so many compliments on it and the colour. It is much bigger than old Kona. More back seat room, more boot space. So many safety features. Yes it uses more fuel but I’m not bothered about that too much. Very impressed. I don’t like that the green interior trim has gone and it’s red now. Hate red. Old one also had turning lamps pointed to the corner you’re turning into, to show gutters etc. new one doesn’t. Disappointed with that. I adore the wheels. I have the 1.6 litre turbo petrol engine as my previous Kona had. Very zippy and quiet
Hyundai doing nobody any favors by having an "N-Line" but also a "Kona N," which is badged as a completely different car on their site (and not a different trim of the same car.) Confusing enough shopping for a car, but giving them overlapping names isn't helping.
I still don't get why, in 2024, manufacturers still give 1/3 of the display over to the tach. Seems like they all do it, not just Hyundai. At least when the display flips, it's the first to go.
Great review as usual but for this much money it should have memory front seats. Also not a fan of the really low down rear turn signals so for me a deal breaker.
Fantastic review. I have a 2022 Kona SEL and love it. I was excited about the new 2024 till I realized they took away the traditional shifter and replaced it with electronic on the column. This is a deal breaker for me. Don't get me wrong the paddle are nice but that should be in addition to a console mounted gear shift. I will pass on the 2024 and hope they bring it back in 2026......
I hate the trend of the massive screens inside cars these days. I own the 2022 kona N and its awesome. I love the updated looks on the exterior of the 2024 Kona, but would never buy the newer ones soley based on the interior and how ugly it is.
I can't agree with you more, Hyundai missed the mark with that and is the reason I won't be trading my 2022 Kona for this new 2024.... Hyundai bring back the console mounted gear shift with manual automatic option or my money will go elsewhere
@@RayIT560 i just bought a 2021 kona se and its been a dream to drive. And its just a 6 speed automatic. Cant drive manual, and the gas savings of manual transmissions are a modern day myth, automatics are far more efficient these days. 😂

When my daughter finished college in 2022, we got her this N-Line then. It was a lot of fun to drive.

They still do have the cvt on Elantra venue and accent

I can’t believe there are no Dash lighting. under the dash is very dark in the car while driving at night is pitch dark very disappointing

SE and SEL trims are available with a traditional shifter! Why so picky with the shifter though? You'd get used to it within a week

Wow, almost $34K for a Hyundai econobox! I rather get a Toyota Cross Hybrid for less money or even a RAV4 Hybrid.
With way more features and better looking . I like Toyota but sorry Kia and Hyundai are bringing the value way more than Toyota and Honda .

Toyota hybrid cars are a lot more fuel efficient, more reliable and have much better resale value compare to this car's superficial features.

U could get the se or SEL version, it has the shifter in the middle console. Can u let me know what’s wrong with the electronic shifters?
