This video is amazing! Making mist effec in this way not only has good effect, but also saves rendering time. thank you for your sharing! Very helpful to me!
That is a nice trick , I am not sure but could you also parent the fog card to the camera , that way if one moves the other automatically moves .Nice video.
Hi! Thanks for tutorial! I love the result. Only one Q - how to keep fog white? When im come close to fog it comes to brawn or dark gray color. Thank you!
I've always used After Effects and like you said it's a struggle to get these kind of effects to look realistic with any kind of flexibility. Thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you very much for this explanatory video, the result is great. I have put it into practice but if the camera has DOF the mist is not blurred correctly, is there any solution for this? thanks
Loving the content ! New to unreal and for some reason I don’t have the “engine” folder as well as some of the default content like the mannnequin ! Can you point me to the right video on how I can add those assets to my project …. Thanks !
This looks mighty impressive. A massive thumbs up ;D Could i do a request for creating an infinite plane... Like a desert scene. Where a drone can take off upward and u cant see the end of the landscape. No matter what i try you will always see the edge grrrrrrr Be great to see how you would tackle this problem. Been driving me mad for over year. Maybe UE5 can handle it with nanite etc?

Go into the material and find "Translucency Pass" in Details pane. Set it to "After DOF".
@@MangoQuaffer thanks!
great stuff mate.
I wonder if this can be turned into a material function?
Which video explains how to get the engine Folder? Can't find it.
Hi! It looks very cool. Thank you for sharing! What sky do you have there? :)

Thanks you!!!! ♥♥
This is a great way to fake it for a shot! Curious on the sky, are you using any custom plugins to get the overcast/stormy look?
Appreciate the tutorial, mate! How did you create that cool looking sky? Is it an image?
Marketplace asset
@@MR3DDev legend. Thanks, mate.
watching this rn!!
Could there be a way to parent the fog plane to the camera so it moves with it? Would that do the trick in sequencer?
This could be done yes
@@MR3DDev Perfect! Just tried it myself, worked out as expected. Thanks for the tutorial, keep inspiring. Cheers
How did you get the cool lens flare glow on the eye shader?
Convolution bloom :)
@@MR3DDev Thanks for all your information, mate!
awesome !!!
Thanks!!
Thank you!
can i get a link about the mist you created in the previous video? thanks
On the beginner playlist I mention how to get it, is from one of the Epic's free assets.
Came for the fog. Amazing but I have a sky question. Is this the regular volumetric clouds actor or something custom?
is a painted skydome, a different asset
@@MR3DDev looks awesome
well done
Thanks by share it!
dope
great method
When it's placed under a shadow, it creates an ugly shadow effect. can you help?
I am working on a better method for this :)
thank you soooo much
thank you
Thanks !!!
How can we get the assets?thank you
which assets? Almost everything on the level is megascans :)
How can we get blueprint fog? Is it free?
Yes is from the VFX pack that is a forever free asset, see the beginner playlist for more :)
@@MR3DDev Thank you for your answer ... where can I download this blueprint?
Great
You could just parent the plane to the camera, so you just move the camera. ;
is a possibility
you could have animated the noise instead of moving the plane
I animated the noise in the video
Any know-how on how we go about working with the BP_VolumetricPaintingGameMode on your environments?
