It's the air to water ratio that's out. Need way more air. You need closer to 50/50.

You should! There are loads of different ways to make them. From very cheap to very expensive. Some also very simple to make whereas others are a bit more complicated. Go for it!

i like it just need to no how you built the dome to the tube thanks paul

Thanks Paul. The acrylic tube is 150mm external diameter. The acrylic dome I bought off eBay is 150mm with a 20mm flange. To attach the dome to the tube I think the best solution would be to buy a 170mm polypropylene (or acrylic) disk (about 6mm/9mm thick) with a 150mm hole in it. In other words a 'hoop'. Then fix this 'hoop' to the outside of the acrylic tube with sealant. Then drill about 8 holes in the dome's flange and screw down into the 'hoop'. I didn't have any suitable plastic available so I used a piece of 18mm chipboard to make the 'hoop' and screwed into that. I will be replacing it sometime in the future with a plastic 'hoop'.
