Same, some idiot did repairs in our parking lot, left debree on the ground and I park in that area. Next day started to drive off and all I hear is this strange sound. 8 hours later I go back to my vehicle and I have a flat. This video was a refresher since I learned this when I was 12 years old, Im now 40 😂. Lets GO! 👍🏽
Alway put your hazards on if you are on the side of the road, and most importantly activate your emergency brake or chalk a tire to keep the car from moving when you jack it up! God Bless
Donut spare tires aren't designed to be driven for long periods of time but the full-size does Donut spare tires lasts for 70 miles while the full-size lasts for 7 to 10 years
Don’t forget to tighten your Lugnuts in a star like pattern. Never tighten them one by one in a clockwise or counterclockwise pattern it can place the tire crooked and be dangerous

Disclaimer: if you have a vehicle similar to a Mercedes gle/gls 2019> that has a spare tire it won’t be a full size, so once you replace it a warning will pop up on the dashboard, you just need to confirm the changes and the suspension will adjust itself for the smaller wheel
Note: If you have a Donut spare tire put the lug nuts in the most diagonal order for example: 5 lug spares: star shaped order 4 lug spares: X shaped order
I personally changed the “Donut” Spare into a full sized spare in my ‘21 Toyota Highlander 😄 I don’t like that dummy tire since I do a lot of highway driving.
I had to have someone come and change my tyre today and he was loosening the lug nuts before jacking it, and some guy in a car passing by said out the window, "You have to jack it first". Guess he was wrong. To be honest, I think I can learn to do it, but I don't have enough confidence in my own body strength to loosen and tighten everything properly. I'd only change it in an emergency with no one around who can do it better.
If u jack it first before loosening them, you can always turn on your emergency brake in the car and it'll stop your tire from moving so you can loosen them while the car is jacked
I have some question about your replaced spare wheel that it's steel rim. It is actually true that some of car models of a car brand is not all alloys? and even also It is true that the reason why some car's spare wheel is steel rim is to decrease the car price?
because most cars don't have space for it. usually the larger cars like the vans have enough space for a full sized tire which u can drive with for much longer than a donut spare
This may be a dumb question but what’s the point of carrying another tire around that only last for a small time ?? Why can’t they make a spare tire just an extra tire that’s as strong as the rest so you won’t need to go into a shop and pay loads of money ???
Because the entire point of a spare is to save your ass when you have a flat. If you were to just keep using it,you would no longer have a spare. They make them kinda shitty to drive on so you're incentivized to get a new tire and save your spare. But they do Make spares that last a really long time apparently, they're just expensive and the smaller it is, the better it fits in your car.
I don't like the spare tires because you can only drive 40 MPH on them and are supposedly designed to only be used to get somewhere to buy a regular tire.
In this video is used small tire. It is smaller and lighter than original, runs higher air pressure. So you should only drive it to get to nearest tire repair shop where they can fix your normal tire and no faster than 80 kmh. Typically they say around 50-70 km is max you can do, but if drive careful on good road I once did 250 km with spare cuz I had no repair shop nearby. You can also have a full size spare - the tire is the same size as your original, which you can just put on and drive as long as you want, but it is gonna be heavier to carry in vehicle and you will have a bit more fuel consumption. If you dont go on bad roads often small tire better, if bad roads then go big tire
The tools that cars come with are trash. I keep my floor jack, an impact wrench and a 4 way lug wrench in my trunk! Also periodically check the spare tire’s air pressure to make sure it is properly inflated.
kind of a shitty guide. doesnt really explain much about space saver tyres first of all, you gotta pull the handbrake or chock the tyres on the ground depending on which one you are replacing for cars with a space saver tyre (a space saver is a spare tyre which is thinner compared to the tyres already on the car) such as this one, if its a 2wd, you put the tyre on an wheel which isnt being driven by the engine. for example, if its a front wheel drive, you need to put the space saver on the rear. this means that if your flat is on the front, you need to do some rearranging which is a pain in the ass. if its a 4wd, i believe that the space saver needs to go on the rear. you cannot do any freeway driving in a space saver and they should only be used to get you home. i have no idea why manufacturers are putting space savers in cars. they are absolute dog shit. if your spare tyre well can fit a full size, i highly recommend you get one. it will save you so many problems if you get a flat. you wont need to replace a full size immediately, you can do freeway driving in them and you wont need to do any rearranging with them
U just saved me …I literally caught a flat tire like 45 mins ago ..and I watched your vid ..easy instructions 💪🏽

Wow yes - soo important what you said. 👍🏾
Had a flat this weekend. Wanted to come back to this video and thank you for making it easy to understand.
Sorry about the flat. I’m glad it helped you out
Donut spare tires aren't designed to be driven for long periods of time but the full-size does
Donut spare tires lasts for 70 miles while the full-size lasts for 7 to 10 years
Donuts last like 1500 miles on modern cars. I’ve driven one for 2500 on my fusion just to see how it did. And it’s still usable
@@vincentriley8626”just to see how it did”
@@k.m.6265 yep I’m a mobile tire technician I got 5 star reviews

Thank you very much, I replaced my first tire by myself with no issues thanks to you
Thank you, my tire just got a flat and this video helped me change it no hassle at all! Amazing!

Don't forget to use your bodyweight to tighten the spare or else it will fall off. I'm speaking from experience guys....
Hey you just saved my ass on the side of the highway. Thanks! ❤
Exactly what I needed. Thanks.
Bro, you literally thank you. Simple video to where I just changed my first tire. Thank you!
Thanks a lot just changed my tires instructions was perfect
Thanks a lot. Just changed my tire
Thank you, made me easily learn how to change a tire !
Thank you so much it helps a lot 😃
GO TO HEAVEN YOU REALLY SAVED MY LIFE
Note: If you have a Donut spare tire put the lug nuts in the most diagonal order for example:
5 lug spares: star shaped order
4 lug spares: X shaped order
ALWAYS AND ALWAYS after driving around for a bit stop and tighten your lug nuts again. Safety first!

Thank you so much!!!
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you because i didn't know how to fix a flat tire. I feel more of a man
Great video just did it for the first time
Ty so much! Bou2 change my tire for the first time💪🏽
Good video
🔥🔥🔥
First thing is to make sure you on a flat surface 😎😎👊🏾

The mini spare should only be installed on the rear. This means if you have a front flat, you need to move a normal sized rear to the front first.
I have some question about your replaced spare wheel that it's steel rim.
It is actually true that some of car models of a car brand is not all alloys? and even also It is true that the reason why some car's spare wheel is steel rim is to decrease the car price?
Yes it’s to save money and all of the skinny spare tires are on steel rims
How does the spare tire compartment have enough space for a full sized tire but not include a full sized tire as the spare
Also dont forget your emergency brakes or your car once raised will roll back
so i dont have a car and i cant drive but why does the spare tire not meant for long drives cant they just put the same type of tire in there?
Instead of spare tires, why not keep a regular tire in reserve? Is there a reason for that?
because most cars don't have space for it. usually the larger cars like the vans have enough space for a full sized tire which u can drive with for much longer than a donut spare
And if I drive with spare tyre for long time
The most important part is making sure the spare is at 60 psi
This may be a dumb question but what’s the point of carrying another tire around that only last for a small time ?? Why can’t they make a spare tire just an extra tire that’s as strong as the rest so you won’t need to go into a shop and pay loads of money ???

it's cheaper for manufacturer to use a small spare
Lack of space. In a sedan you can’t fit a full size tire otherwise you sacrifice trunk space.
thanks!
Is the spare tire there when you buy the car or is it like you get your own spare tire
The only way to find out is to look, some cars come without spare tires.
E brake is not required?
I seen people going 60-80 mph on a spare 😅
Thx bro
Damn i thought you were supposed to leave the lugnuts lose
I don't like the spare tires because you can only drive 40 MPH on them and are supposedly designed to only be used to get somewhere to buy a regular tire.
What about spare tire rim
How long can you drive it for?

You can drive them for a month but it’s better to change as soon as possible
Chrisfix: am I a joke to you?
😱😱
Are spare tires hood for snow ?? Before I put one one
Why is my tire moving around
wait fr its temporary?!?!
I has Flat Car Tire 😭😭😭😭
mantap oh
Omg don’t loosen them when they’re on the ground so the tire won’t move just put the god damn emergency break on lmao
Won’t work on the front
Drive under 60 MPH
The irony in making a video on how to do something while getting AI to voice the instructions
Instead of using a spare tire you should just fix your tire with a plug .
Why tf isnt a spare tire meant to replace??
Because then you wouldn't have a spare tire if you used it as a replacement.
The tools that cars come with are trash. I keep my floor jack, an impact wrench and a 4 way lug wrench in my trunk!
Also periodically check the spare tire’s air pressure to make sure it is properly inflated.
Why these hoaky spares are legal is beyond me?
kind of a shitty guide. doesnt really explain much about space saver tyres

if you dont know this, you shouldnt be behind the wheel.
You forgot to say place the jack on the “frame” if u place it on plastic or something not as hard ur gonna break it and now ur about to waste money
