I bought myself one last year, the purple metallic 83’. I decide tu put her back in shape, so now i’m in the middle of renovation. Super cool bike, the sound, the look and more comfortable seat than a couch! Just everytime you settle, remeber, that engine performance is slightly beyond chassis and brakes

Just bought my first bike, an 83 Nighthawk 750 stock with 20 000 miles! So freakin excited!

I have that exact bike in my carport right now. Wish I could get ahold of the chrome striping. It has some patina on it @ 41,000 miles and 40 years of age. It's mostly great for a survivor bike. Pretty responsive @ throttle. It sat for idk how long as an older gentleman decided he couldn't ride anymore. I had to do nothing to get it running. Just put a little oil in it and some DOT3 in the reservoir as suggested. I've been running 93 octane in it plus octane booster/fuel system cleaner in it since getting it last week. Trying to blow out any goop that's built up in the carbs/system.
Old timers on their run of the mill dime a dozen shitty Harleys take one look at it and say "man that's a effing great bike! I had one of those" and young people who see it say "omg that bike is so epic! So much style and class!! Love the lines on it!"
    It's good to be king.
P.s. mine doesn't have the big dent in the tank like yours does. Tank is flawless.

I've had three over the years... My Son has one and has got it running again... Runs Great, 75,000 klms 46,000 miles... Still have another for Parts... The Third... Well, a repo... Also I've noticed the Tank on the Bike in the Video, has a huge dent... on the gas tank...

Usually, the head can get without any maintenance over 60k (37k miles) and bottom of the engine lasts over 100k km (62k miles). + Occasional valve adjustments across the life.
