Thanks for putting this together, I brought 3 faulty batteries from ebay (all new but discharged) to fix and now they all work! (touch wood) I used a USB lipo charging board to charge each cell to just over 4.1v and used the firmware to update. Great tip with the copper tape for the drone connector!

Can you perform this fix without opening the battery cover?
How about putting a capacitor across V+ and V-, with a battery plug cable attached from there? Then you can swap the batteries without the voltage dropping too low? There would be a big jump in voltage when the recharged battery is swapped in, but maybe that wouldn't hurt anything.

Capacitor will drop voltage until will swap cells. Difference from voltage will get permanent fail

Depending on input bias current plus capacitor leakage current, versus capacitor size.
Do you know the specifics?

How I charged cells. Here's what I did: I used a regular battery charger designed for AA batteries, connecting two wires with positive (+) to positive (+) and negative (-) to negative (-). Then, I checked all three cells by referring to images online that indicate the positive and negative terminals of each cell. After checking the voltage of each cell, I discovered that one out of the three had a voltage below 2V. I charged that particular cell up to 2.11V (while the other two cells were around the same range, 2.11V to 3V). Charging just that one cell was sufficient. I reconnected it to the chip, ran the software, and it worked like a charm.
Similarly, with my second battery, the voltages were similar, except this time the bottom cell was below 2V. I charged it to 2.11V, ran the software, and everything worked perfectly. The batteries now look brand new and function flawlessly.

How many charges can I expect to get from a Mavic Air battery that I have taken good care of?
Hi Taranu... My batteries are not responding (dead)... I opened one and bypassed the board attached and I was able to charge the stacks (3 stacks). However, after closing the housing and trying to switch the battery from the power button, it is still not responding. Will EV2300 module solve this problem following your steps?... thanks

I´m having problems to access the batteries.
I have four batteries and only one is Ok (fully usual and flying).
The other three are dead and I provided charge to them using a external font (directly in cells terminals).
I´m using a Raspberry Pi for interface I2C but the communication occurs only with good battery.

connect charger for 3 seconds, if not communication check communication pins on board, will see 2 resistors and 2 diodes , check both.
Check if diodes is not shorted

I will check the diodes and resistors, but I don't know what are the communication pins on the board (I´m connecting comm pins in the main connector of the battery).

@@mihaigsm2003 I´m with 100% of certain about I made correct connections in batteries connector and the problem occurs in three batteries.
Do you know other points in the board (maybe wire soldering) to make connections in comm line?

An additional information: I made the charge with 13V directly in the cells terminal, between + and -- in the borders of the board (such as an unique cell). My new question: is this arrangement would made a damage in any component?

What voltage and current dud you set the charger at please to start each cell individually by bypassing the smart circuit board

U can change by jumping but can’t fly

i have charged cells on mavic air battery back up individually as per your excellent video. but the cells or one of themmust be Pf ( locked ) so i need to dig deeper to fix which means the EV2300 and interface software i guess
