Wall may have a 50 percent chance of going away after the turn it is cast, but it is essential to keep the snakes from ganging up on you. And yes, by dumping your Dark Alchemy loot you hosed yourself.
Yeah, having Wall instead of Elemental Bolt would probably have been the better choice. I was surprised how much loot I had after the Dark Alchemy scenarios - definitely would have been helpful for that battle against the Vapor Snakes.
Good game. :) I managed to get all my guys off the battlefield in Writhing Fumes but that's mainly because I kept them all together and focussed on just running. I only got one treasure too. The problem I found with mainly running for it though is by the time you get to the door there are a load of snakes converging on it. I managed to sneak past the Ballista II constructs so didn't have to fight them thankfully. It such a deadly scenario because the monsters just don't stop coming. It's now onto Isher's Weapon Shop. :D
Cheers! I managed the same with Isher's Weapon Shop, I just did a lot of hiding and running. My wizard doesn't have any offensive spells so my band doesn't hit all that hard. Have you tackled the Dog Days scenario yet? :)
I'm convinced I chose the wrong warband to run this scenario. Having Strength and Enchant Weapon on soldiers looks like it helped so much. My offensive Elementalist was nerfed hard b/c E.Bolt lights the snakes on fire and my go-to Grenade only does 1 dmg if it hits. Hoping to have better luck with a more utility-based wizard at a future date.
