Alrighty. You have inspired me to get a crew together. I've had the Parsecs book for a couple of years and just never got around to it...squirrel!!! Ha Ha! Great video! I will follow your crew's journey. Keep at it!
At this time I've got 11 total battles published with 5-6 more coming after a short break! I hope you are able to get some games in yourself - I totally get being easily distracted.🙃 Keep it simple - grab a few minis and throw some stuff from your pantry on the table and play out a battle - my first few games learning the rules were done this way and it was a blast!
LEGO minifigs have come a long way since 80s and 90s. I almost feel weird now using a figure without leg printing. There’s lots of options now with all the Star Wars stuff.
Love your channel and your report ! Just one thing , when the K’erin lieutenant charged into the brawl , you missed the bit where K’erin roll twice in Brawls :-) I know this because I have two K’erin in my own crew …
Thank you for watching! The lieutenant and the basic soldiers actually aren't K'Erin - only the unique warrior is.😊 There will be plenty more K'Erin brawls in the battles to come!
Thanks! A lot of the alien descriptions are kind of vague, but that figure seemed to fit well with the description the K'Erin. And you'll kind of see more of him in battle #2...
😄There can be a lot to remember with the rules, but the Pre-Game, Battle, and Post-Game sections are laid out pretty well in the book in a step-by-step manner. As far as my rolls, I keep a spreadsheet open to essentially create a journal of everything that's going on (I enjoy spreadsheets, lists, and documenting things 😂). Unfortunately the credits can only go toward Ship Upgrades, not fixing damage to the ship...
Thanks! I can’t take credit for it though, it’s set #75338 Ambush on Ferris from the Andor show. It’s a pretty nice shuttle that actually has a decent interior to fit 5+ minifigs.
Love this game. Ran a complete solo campaign with it and had a blast. Minor catch, but did look like you rolled on the opportunity chart instead of the patron chart for the mission objective.
Oops, I guess I did - thanks for catching that!👍 The previous two tables had the Patron and Opportunity missions use the same column and I must have briefly forgotten what kind of mission I was on. Oh well, it worked great for the story and at least the result was something that could potentially be rolled for a Patron mission.🙃
😄I used him for playing Rangers of Shadow Deep with my daughter, but he hasn't been on the battlefield for any gameplay videos I've recorded. He's on my shelf in (almost) every video and showed up in my thumbnail for my Perilous Dark campaign.
At 51:13 you misinterpret the rule regarding "Notable Items." If you "Hold the Field" at the end of a battle you're assumed to have sufficient time to gather up any items still on the board, so you should have acquired the documents/metal.
@@MisterMac4321 hmm…I can’t find anywhere that says Notable Sights are collected simply for Holding the Field. With standard Objectives (p90-91) most of those are assumed complete simply by HtF and it states if you collect things you’re looking for regarding the Objective. In the Postgame section it’s mentioned in the text for HtF that you collect things, but that seems more like general flavor text about why you get to roll on the following table. Is there somewhere that specifically states Notable Sights are obtained?
You are correct! Looks like I forgot which column I was supposed to be referencing. It doesn't appear either of the weapons would of helped him on the battlefield though!💀
Hi there , just started watching these and love it so far. Do you have any videos where you talk about the figures you use for your characters I know some are Lego but are there other brands that are available? I want to trying playing the way you do but have no idea what to buy …. Legos are to expensive to try and get everything I would need to play 5PFH
Hello! I don't currently have videos about the figures I use - though I want to make something next year that discusses this. I used to see generic LEGO figures on Amazon all the time but I can't seem to find any with a search now. LEGO isn't a cheap way to go...however you don't have to do any painting, so for me the time savings is more important than the money cost. Sci-Fi (Star Wars) LEGO figures can usually be found for about $5 each (there's usually a battle pack available at any given time that's between $16-20 for four figures). These are usually kind of generic and to get an interesting variety, larger sets with just a few figures is usually required. I had a large collection of stuff from my childhood/teen years and have been slowly adding new stuff throughout my adult life (and have spent hundreds in the last few years just because I enjoy collecting). There's a few used LEGO stores in neighboring towns that I go to occasionally where I can pick up miscellaneous figures and accessories - and finding a place like that would be a good place to start. Terrain is a whole different (and expensive) subject...but honestly, if I didn't have a channel focused on the use of bricks and blocks, I would use regular gaming terrain instead (but still with LEGO figures).

Very nice Lego board and miniatures! I just completed everything up to the first battle with the help of your videos!
Thanks for that!
@@MrMaltavius thanks! I’m glad my videos are helpful!
Very nice walk through
Thank you!
Teams name suggestion "Gibb's Gangbusters"
I’ve got the next few battles recorded…and I’ll just say your kind of close on the Crew name. 😄
Nice builds for these guys... There sure are a lot more minifig options than when we were kids! :)

Great report, and really high quality too. It’s been a while since I’ve heard new exploration into 5P. Gets the creative juices flowing again!
Thank you! I hope you enjoy the campaign!
Suddenly, this game feels tempting (isn't there a fantasy counterpart, too? Finally a good use for all my rpg minis...)
I was thinking I may actually have a use for my old 40k guys.
There is - Five Leagues From the Borderlands.
@@bricksblocksgaming8017 I didn't know that. Based on the name I assumed it was another sci fi game. Thanks!

I like the minifig you worked up to represent the K'Erin

This was great! So glad you are doing Five Parsecs!
I'm glad you're enjoying it! I'm having a great time playing and filming the campaign.
Awesome battle report, I can't wait for mission 2
Thank you! Sorry, you’ll have to wait until next Thursday.😊
WOW!!!! That is INVOLVED!!!!! How are you suppose to remember all that??? At least you get 3 credits off the ship fixing you'll need to do LOL:)!!!1

@@bricksblocksgaming8017 At first I wasn't sure how the random tables would feel, but they totally drove the story and narrative. Super fun game!

Where does this rule came from? I genuinely tried to find it on the rule book, I have all except the tactics book

Time to see where the game goes and if this team ends up doing well or in a shallow grave.
😂Definitely easy for things to go south quickly!
24:36 isn't that a Clingfire pistol instead of a Hand flamer? since it's 2 A shouldn't the specialist select from the A column?
