  • This event will give you insight into how Seating Matters is managed. Like all 2 Second Lean Virtual Tours, we will focus on how people are inspired and developed so the organization can excel. We will shine our spotlight on how the concept of value versus non-value is utilized, and explore pull systems at Seating Matters - both Kanban and a Two Bin Stock System.

    There was a few things that stuck our for me in this tour. First the place was extremely clean and organized! I had a coworker comment it was hard to believe that they actually work there. The 3 sided signs really caught my eye in the versatility that offers from all angles. This is definitely something I learned from this tour.
    Second what really caught my eye was the use and term of water spiders. They supplied materials where and when need, also kept the area organized. I thought this was a really well thought out idea ! I would love to try this idea.
    Totally clarity on expectations and care about the people and they will care about you ! It was clear the companies values and their culture they attempt to foster! Super Impressed.

    Ryan Tierney and his team at Seating Matters have built an inspiring example of what happens when a business adopts 2 second lean and the Toyota approach to people and products. I am awed by the clever attention to details. "Wherever we ask a question, that's where the answer will be."
    As Ryan says, "The transformation is unbelievable."
