Great "engineering around". I share 100% what you're saying about stiffness. I have been wake thieving with Foildrive a lot trying to catch a wave that runs at 33-37km/h😅. It threw me off with the same 4'6" bamboo tech board and then it'd be controllable and rideable with a 4'6" full carbon board. You even feel less the swing weight due to the battery case. Pumping efficiency increases! In Downwinding it makes you work/pump less since you feel more. At first you need to get into it though..all the turbulence is also transferred right to your feet😅.Good job 👏 Bravo
@ktwo-surf that's what you do when you live on a Lake far from the ocean 😇😂. Really jealous of those waves in your backyard 😀. But sincerely I've really fallen in love with some wake waves. Amazing surfing 20km, sometimes more and learn for the time in the ocean. Share your stoke for Foildrive. And loving your boards 😁
Nice one! Stiffness makes sense, as does the inset. ground breaking stuff Mike. I would love to try one of your boards some time. I would ask you when you plan to visit Cape Town. But i cant even tempt you with good waves because you are scoring some epic bombs back home! We do have tons of wind though. ive been getting into foil drive downwinders which are loads of fun too. 🤙🏻
we'll do another run, thinking of trying a few mid lengths this time, but expect to have some more towards the new year. 90% of boards go outside the UK - middle east, oz, mostly USA. Shipping no issue.
if keen, mail me at mike@ktwo.surf - I can put you on the list for the new year, if not keen when ready then I can just pass it on down the waiting list...
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and put all the work in those inset boards! I was really waiting for the next chapter of your videos. Are some boards of this badge already avaliable? I would love to get one ❤
Thanks for the kind words, There is a waiting list if any of the buyers of this batch drop out, and the next will be ready around the new year, so if keen mail me at mike@ktwo.surf and I can put you on the list?
Also, you talk about fuse stiffness. I have noticed advanced riders using the aluminum fuse. Just wondering if I should go from carbon to aluminum to improve stiffness. I do have that option. Thanks for everything you are doing.

wake thieving at almost 40km/hr, that's too funny. That's hauling!

Awesome! Can't wait to get one of your boards.
Really great work. This will be stiffer than pump boards.
Fantastic. Inspiring stuff

I think one of the reasons I've fallen for this so hard is the local conditions we have here. I've not had any way to access them easily before now...
Awesome Job. Put me on the list for one. Hopefully available in the U.S.

The fuselage is a big thing - it's small and takes a ton of stress. I guess the answer is whichever one is stiffer..
Hi Mike, im interested in buying an inset board from you. how do we communicate about this? size, lead time, price. thanks.
What's app sent!
I am interested in getting on the list as well- thanks
