Remember 3D Pinball for Windows? This is the full version of the Space Cadet table, with more details added from the version found on earlier Windows operating systems, until XP. What you DON'T see and hear is what is in this video.

I was so pissed when I found out that this wasn't on Windows 7, nor was Minesweeper, Hearts, Solitaire, etc...

Yeah, total nostalgia for me here. Spent hours upon hours on this damn game, and never could fill all the orange lights in the inner circle. Came close a few times, but never did it. Kinda disappointed pinballwiz didn't do it in this video, and kinda glad at the same time. Proves he's freaking human lol.
It's the damn mission to hit those idiotically impossible targets in the upper left. Thats always the deal-breaker. Lol.

I think I can safely say that out of all three tables in Full Tilt Pinball, this one had the most time and effort put into designing it.
So, you get a replay each time after completing a mission, the completion awards are higher, and if you do what would normally get you a replay, you get three balls and now I understand what these three lights were meant for ...
Those gravity twists are so cool! It was probably implemented just to mess up player's timing and sense of the pin-ball's physics.

Bao Junior I've been playing Space Cadet pinball since Windows 95 (in 1995) and I was 4 when it came out on Microsoft Plus! for Windows 95.
I used to play this on my computer all the time! Instead of going on the internet like TH-cam, or old Nicktropolis. I just go on my computer an play some good old "3D Pinball Space Cadet!"

We played it on the school computer in 2002. Our Elementary School was from the mid-70s and the one and only PC was in the principal's office (and she had to go to a training workshop in 1998, before that our reform cards would be hand-written.. And that in Germany, a leading industry nation in the late 90s..) We had a small break between 11:20 and 11:30. We would rush to the PC, boot up WinME, clicked away the 5 million Windows error messages (Network password for no reason, domain questions, missing DLLS,... you know, the usual Windows ME shit) and played it. It was super hard to play the game while swatting around your arms to prevent your asshole comrades from tilting the table by smashing the space bar on the keyboard. Difficulty *2. It was a common thing that little fights and minor brawls happened between the "Tilter" and the "Tilted". While that happened, other people took over the seat and played.
But man, your name in the classroom's Pinball highscore list was something! :D

There was an IRL version of this at an arcade in Saskatoon; played it way back a long time ago when my dad had an aviation business trip there, I was like 8 or 9... ah, the nostalgia...

I loved this game when I was a kid, and I wish I could still play it. I used to play my own music in the background, when the in-game music got tiresome or just for fun. Mostly 80's and 90's pop and rock.

The Space Cadet built in on Windows XP was only a demo. The Full tilt Space Cadet had added the multi ball capabilities

I played this game (Microsoft version) back when Plus! for Windows 95 came out and I was 4 when I started to play the game. My mom loved/loves playing this game.
Getting up to *FLEET ADMIRAL* will be one of the white whales of my life. My favorite part of this game is the hyperspace bonus because when the ball is grabbed, and it makes that noise, then it gives me that "shit just got real" feeling, and now I'm suddenly playing baseball - unfortunately when I hit the ball with my flipper, very rarely does it ricochet back at something effective (edges of certain things in the game get in the way). Also, when it passes the indication to set up the colors for the bumpers, sometimes I spam the flipper before realizing I made a little mistake in setting up for the next color!

I got this game bundled with Maxis Marble Drop back in the late '90s. One curious difference is the mild censoring of the Maxis branding in the lower right, which shows up clear as day in this original version, but deep, illegible red in the Windows version.
This is not a Maxis game, it is a Microsoft game. You did not get it with any Maxis games, it came with Windows.
@@darrylkinslow5613 Nope. I can affirm this game came bundled with Marble Drop as well. Furthermore, since Windows 98 did not come with Space Cadet in any form (apart from an INF file found on the setup CD that asked you to load your Windows 95 Plus CD), that is how I first experienced the game. Technically, Space Cadet was developed by Cinematronics for Maxis, as well as Microsoft.

I remember being in like the 2nd or 3rd grade playing this all the time back in the day in the school computer lab that must have been around 2001 or 2002 my bus always dropped me off to school early and I would have like 45 minutes to an hour to kill and I'd either launch this up or load up shuffle puck on one of the old Macintosh computers to start my day before school officially started.

For reasons I can't explain, I suddenly got the music from this game in my head earlier, so hear I am. Haven't played this game in probably 20 years! Also, I chose this video in particular for the space ship in the top right like how I remember before that cartoon clown took over in later versions

Megaman 2407 apparently, what I can gather from the teensy bit of searching I just did, I had a more completed version of the game back in '96 or 97 and that's why the spaceship is different. But I'll admit that I don't know everything, lol, I only know that I played the version with this ship first and later found that every version I encountered on other computers had the "cartoon clown".

The clown version was a mere demo of this.
Truth be told, the demo released as part of Windows 95, then Full Tilt! released a bit later. The demo was ported to every new Windows OS's up until XP.
I can safely say I remember playing this before the demo.

The only thing I know that relates to this pretty well is The Deep in Pinball 3D on Android, which does a better job with the underwater theme, whilst they tried a little too hard with the space theme in my opinion. It would honestly be pretty cool if someone made a remake of this that looks as good as the Android 3D pinball.
@ 5:00 you can see that the ball is in being controlled as a slight tilt to keep the game playing instead of having it be free fall
