Q: Why tilt?
A: To rank up faster. Full Tilt awards replays after every mission compared to 3D Pinball to circumvent around a bug with the blue progress lights. Tilting allows me to keep the blue lights in the middle intact for the next rank, despite losing a ball. Risk vs. reward.

I remember my dad's computer having this game on it when I was very little. I loved playing it even though I never fully understood how to play the game. It's taken me years to find it again

@@J-Post86 the full version was not included with Windows, just a demo. Don't download things from random links of course, but Full Tilt can be downloaded safely from abandonedware sites. There's also a community that got it to run on modern hardware.
This is a deeply nostalgic game.
Very impressive run considering nobody else has ever completed this game (?) let alone in under 30 minutes this is an accomplishment to be proud of. Was entertaining to watch too. So how much of this game is actually documented online? Did no one know there would be a 4x multiball after Maelstrom?

Most of the rules regarding missions are documented; most changes (other than multiball and replays from missions) are score-based and have no impact on the run. Multiball is a little-known thing at all in Space Cadet, because the demo lacked Meteor Storm. Full Tilt throws in Meteor Storm after successfully finishing Maelstrom.
how did he get multiple balls on table at the same time? is that cheats?

@@LionessPride The version that was bundled with Windows 95 Entertainment Pack 5 (and Windows 98 Plus!, Windows ME, and Windows XP) is the demo for Full Tilt. It only features one of the three tables (the others are Dragon's Keep and Skullduggery); in addition, the full version features Meteor Swarm Multiball, which the demo lacks.

Is this different code to the original Win95 version?
The rollovers are behaving differently (not switching off if you get a rollover that's already lit).
Ironic that this was also released in 1995, a couple months after the demo was published (and ported to other OS's like XP). Look at the title/game.

Found some more info ... wikipedia page has some history on it - the Win95 (aka 3D Pinball) and "Full Tilt" definitely use different rulesets - what is achievable on Full Tilt is significantly harder on 3D Pinball version - for a start, there's no multiball!

My favourite part was getting the pinball in the center for the FIRST TIME EVER! I had never racked up that many point nor lit almost everything in the game!
I used to play 3D Pinball Space Cadet when I was younger. Every time I played that game, I had lots of fun. My highest score was over 1,000,000 points

Can you please tell us how we can play it on windows 10 because I downloaded it and when I open the application it say that I should look for newer version from publisher
Unfortunately, the installer is 16-bit, and Windows 10 does not like it at all. If you have the CD, you'll need to access the files in the disc.
you should try ntvdm for windows 10 64 bit, it lets you running 16 bit apps flawlessly
@@pinballwiz45b You can use OTVDM to install 16 bit applications or use 16 bit installers on a 64 bit Windows 10, I used it with a bunch of other games it works great!

Nope, XP uses the demo version originally found on Microsoft Plus for Windows 95. Full Tilt released a few months after that.

I remember playing this at my special needs camp 17 years ago when I was 14 and completely obliterating all the other scores set. I had like 30-something million. Next best was like 6 something. Even the counselors couldn't keep up. Nowhere near this skill tho. Totally epic!

Tilting adjusts the trajectory of the ball slightly, so you can avoid having it go straight down the middle of the paddles

I got to where I could slap the ball into that grey hole or the purple chute over and over pretty easily to quickly rack up score. I suppose a lot of people were able to do this. Never really knew how to play the game though. When you're going for records like this do they perhaps have a patched version where vulnerabilities like this are removed?
This game was built and released by CD in 1995, I'm not sure patches were easy to release back then.
3D Pinball doesn't count, since that was merely ported over to newer Windows operating systems.

oh wow this is a blast from the past. i think the furthest i ever got was rank 4 or 5, and then another time i used a cheat to max my rank and see what the endgame missions were like. this is insanely impressive.

There was a command to nudge the table, z and x if I recall. If you abuse that, you trigger the "tilt" just like some real flippers.

Lmao in elementary in the computer room the computers were all fat. The "new" models were smaller but the back was transparent with different colored backs. When you struggle to get to the hyperspace lane just to get replay ball, but luck was on your side when you do the final shot to end the speedrun. Truly entertaining.

This is the Maxis Full Tilt version of the game. It came with 2 other boards as well. Skullduggery, a pirate themed board with 4(!) flippers and a cannon for a launch plunger! And Dragon's Keep, a 3 flipper board featuring a "fire breathing" dragon head that you can "slay" by making it eat balls after driving a sword into its neck. It's all so much fun!
