G’day from Oz, thanks for the great video of what must have been a very special event for all concerned. I am a five day/week Volunteer on the Puffing Billy Railway as a Signalman and Resident Stationmaster also a retired PBR Loco Driver. I am also 30 year TR Member and a regular visitor to Wales. I will be visiting again in September 2024 for a weekend on TR and another weekend at Llangollen where I am also a 30 year Member. The Corris Railway is in a very beautiful part of Wales and your New “Falcon” is a jewel to behold. Keep up the good work folks. Cheers from Puf’n-Pete
Good old “Corrugated” Railway as I always call it… remember as a little boy must have been about 71 … we stopped and had a look around the railway station here… and I can remember climbing into a hole dug down into the ballast between two sleepers … it was very rundown but lots of stuff to explore
I agree that would be very interesting to see. At this event, I overheard one driver commenting on how easily No.10 was hauling the train up to Corris and how he had needed to use very little throttle and as much cut off as possible. I see the Falcons are due to fly again on 8th July, double heading a photo charter on the TR. PS - if you are the author of the book "The Hendre Ddu Tramway" please accept my humble congratulations on producing truly excellent work. I highly recommend the book to anyone interested in the history of slate quarries and their railways.
@@derekp2674 I am the author of the Hendre Ddu book. Thank you for your kind words. It's always great to hear people enjoyed it and thank you for recommending it.

Having driven No.3 a couple of times, I'd be very interested to see how it compares to driving No. 10

'Like 3 but with 4's regulator' was the near universal comment from all the TR drivers I've crewed with on 10.
