*Toyota's suppliers include: Denso, Futaba, Yamaha, Aisin, Panasonic, MitsubOshi, Maruko, Ichiko, IHI, Idemitsu, KYB, Tokico... they all still supply "New Toyota"*
*Anecdotal: Our 1995 Camry at 300k worked perfectly. At 300k it had the original Denso starter, Denso Alterntor, Denso AC compressor that blew ice cold... everything worked. The OEM clutch (manual transmission) wore out at 300k. We only sold it cause we outgrew it. The Denso/Aisin power steering pump worked... all components like the brake master cylinder, slave cylinder, blower motors... everything worked.*
*We only did the timing belt every 60k and changed the Aisin water pump "while we were in there" each time. The water pump never leaked. We never changed the Denso sparkplugs, ignition coils, etc... all passed stringent CA SMOG testing. The OEM Panasonic 12v battery lasted 10 years. We changed the oil on that Yamaha designed 5SFE engine every 12k or 1.5 years... whatever came last 😅... with regular oil... it NEVER had a drop of synthetic in it.*
*The Aisin transmissions fluid was never touched... differential fluid untouched... The Aisin 5 speed manual transmission shifted perfectly... The Denso/Aisin fuel-pump was oem never gave out...the list goes on... same suppliers are in "new Toyotas" right now* ❤
*Additional Toyotas suppliers include: Denso, Futaba, Yamaha, Aisin, Panasonic, MitsubOshi, Maruko, Ichiko, IHI, Idemitsu, KYB, Tokico... they all still supply "New Toyota"*
Impressive. But anecdotal 😂
@ovid4 Toyota going from last place on the charts in the last 1950s to first place... not anecdotal... how'd they go from last to first? 😉 😜
Watching this channel makes owning a GX more enjoyable. I love learning new reasons to appreciate it!
Yamaha makes some real quality stuff.
Always have. Just look at the 2JZ.
@shdw6662 Or the 5SFE or ALL the S-Series engines that literally cemented Toyota's reputation on the old Corollas and Camrys etc... they were all non-interference engines during an era of interference engines with rubber timing belts
@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROAD love me my Yamahas. From instruments to ATVs they literally do it all and do it very well each time. It’s crazy how consistent Yamaha has been all these years.
They're definitely as reliable as my loyalty to Toyota !
Finally, someone speaking truths. Also, the generation that is so addicted to clicking point also has never witnessed next generation Toyota stuff coming out. This is their first Toyota next generation transition. Last time Toyota had a transition into a new generation of vehicles. They were all 10 years old and we’re playing video games and don’t remember all the recalls that happened in 2009 2010 ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Thank you for being sane, brother!
Thanks for you support, it means alot 🙏 ❤️ ... yes things are getting wierd and toxic out there lately re: Toyota operations
Love this detail. I’ll be sharing this with all family n friends.
Hey there, loving the content!
Wanted to add in that here in Dubai on the GCC models, the batteries are made by a company called Exide Industries, out of India.
The battery is branded Toyota Genuine Part, now I’m trying to find a Panasonic one 😅
I’m a 2020 GX460
My Lexus reminds of my Suzuki GSX-R 1000. Everything is made in Japan. When I sold my old 05 GSXR at with 50K on it. It never burned a drop of oil. Nothing failed throughout the life of it besides batteries. My 16 Lexus IS 300 when sold. The same. Never burned a drop of oil when sold with 99K. Batteries brakes and yes it does eat tire's. That's why I recently purchased a 24 IS 350. Reliability is most important to me. Small improvements is the way to go
Toyota engine plant failed to clean and inspect engine block before assembly of the engine but there still more reliable than domestic vehicles are just saying i’ll still drive by Toyota over anything
I can vouch for you i’ve never had to replace an alternator in any of the Toyotas I’ve ever had, 5 different Toyotas.
we got our Denso muddy offroading recently and it left us stranded for about 10 minutes before it magically began working again:
th-cam.com/video/FmKvVmq60jA/w-d-xo.html
Also AC compressor... our 1995 Camry had the original Denso AC compressor blew ice cold at 300k living in the Mojave desert
@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROAD my 2008 forerunner has 233,000 miles on it and blows cold air😆, runs like new!
@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROADDifferent car, but the Denso AC compressor my '85 BMW 735i had was still going strong at 360,000 miles when it was unfortunately totalled, so i can attest to the longevity.
Even the R134a conversion didn't hurt it.
@@MarkH0508What type of longevity do you think the GX460 will have?
@@D.Dragoon i’m sure they will last forever I guess at least 500,000 miles on that v-8
Still sucks for those that bought a new truck and had their engine fail already
The 3.5tt V6 do have a problem and surely they will perfect it because they are Toyota.
7:30 Robots are primarily used for engine conveyence, applying FIPG (formed in place gaskets), and bottle brushing out debris from machined holes, etc. The main crux of the machining is performed by CNC machining centers made by companies like Brother, Mitsubishi, Nachi, etc.
Woah... Brother is still around 😆... that's good to know...
Excellent review of all things Toyota.
I never knew they used Yamaha-designed engines.
They have their challenges with their product these days for sure.
Thank you! And thank you for subscribing ❤️ 😃
AGREED. If Toyota lost its reliability, it’s the supplier, not Toyota.
And who picks the supplier?
Ask jeevs man that brings back memories.
😆
Remember Lycos?😂
Alta Vista was my first browser
I lie, Internet Explorer from the 90’s
Man, the days of ICQ, Napster
I would say the corolla is solid yaris and prius are solid solid camry and rav4 solid 5th gen 4runner solid solid highlander pretty good the new line is a project in the works not bad not good just finding it's way to toyotas ideal standards they haven't gave up sold out just working on their next lineage
I did not know that thanks for sharing, but I always wondered why pay more for OEM parts when there are well spec alternatives. I get your point however the people who have these troubled cars have been hurt either financially or mentally. Just knowing your car may break down anytime is not a good feeling. A lemon is a lemon!! as owner of Toyota. Honda, Bmw for the last 40 years I would not buy any of these new or used Toyota or Lexus models for now, I'd wait until they fix the main issues.
Very informative video. Love your channel, Thank you!
pray... thank you for your support 🙏 ❤️
Here’s the real question, how do we put the thought in Toyota’s skull to put a bloody third row in the GX 550 Overtrail models?
Is this why I have a 2023 Tundra TRD Sport and 2022 Yamaha YZ250FX?
😲 🫨 🫢 you lucky dog! Enjoy!
Toyota follows through with their warranty’s and recalls so I’m not really concerned about much at all!
While I agree with you overall I did have two alternators go bad on my 4Runner during its 210000 mile life. Zero engine or transmission problems though. Like I said before, I will buy my 2025 GX550 with confidence and expect the same 200k enjoyable miles.
Was the 4runner offroaded? That will kill an alternator (mud) of any brand as we saw recently with our GX460 (but still the Denso magically fixed itself and didn't leave us stranded and is still working normally)
Can you address the 10000 mile maintenance oil change on the 3rd gen Tundra. I use my truck to haul and tow and feel more frequent oil change is important for longevity. I have adopted a 5000 mile interval - just because. Love to hear your input on this topic.
@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROAD not a lot. Tons of snow though over the years as I live in Minnesota. I don’t wait for them to plow the roads. I have a 4Runner, I just go lol.
Well I have a 2021 Rav4 And the Denso Fuel pump fail at only 16000 miles But Toyota Replaced it under warranty!
Denso,Futaba, Yamaha, Aisin,panasonic,Tokiko, Mitsuboshi,Maruko,koito,ichikoh,Yokohama, build good toyotas
yes! And don't forget Idemitsu 🙂
True 💯%
I’m tired of seeing all the anti Toyota videos out there. I just picked up a 2024 Tacoma a few months ago. I will continue to trust Toyota. I’m so sick of the hyperbole. Thanks for your video!
Then try and trade a new one in at the dealer and see what you get.....the market dictates, not you.
@@doctordetroit4339 I won’t be doing that. I buy and then run for 20 years.
Untamed be like but but but 😂😂
I don’t think untamed has ever gotten any grease on his hands. But bro can complain.
Love your wife/ like your car.
Though Yamaha aids in the design and engineering of the engine, Toyota still manufactures them. If any single step in the manufacturing process is not done perfect and the exact same every single time…. You end up with these issues.
same as its always been which was the point... new way is same as the old way... still 💯% toyota 😃 ✌️
Im a gx owner, and honestly i picked a v8 gx over the new 550 or the new landcruiser simply because of the issues the new v6s have. Toyota can stumble. They are currently making a poor decision to try to balance emissions with reliability. It should always be reliability first.
NOPE, and the parts are all on back backorder and expensive!
Well I am glad y'all don't have problems with your Lexus... Because I have a Lexus GX 460..have nothing but problems since I got it..half time when starting it want to rap up..have to stop cut off and sometimes this works and some times it don't..4low light check engine light and skid light on .told it was transfer case put new one in same problem now they say control module..I am disabled ..and can't the repairs..Help
Please search for information and see what the V35A engine and could confirm that the problem is a design in oil pump. very low oil pressure only 4psi at low RPM and 26psi at 2,500 RPM 😅
In a word? No.
