    Take nothing away from Mahomes, he made no mistakes and had some awesome runs, but the O-line was brilliant and Reid's 2d half adjustments were phenomenal. It was not just those 2 TD passes, guys were wide open throughout the half. Not to mention the running game was fabulous. KC made the Eagles' celebrated D look pathetic, and Mahomes barely had to break a sweat, except for those stunning big-yardage scrambles. For my money, Reid and the O-line were the real MVPs here.

    I think you missed the point on the Jet. All season long they played the Jet the same way and kept this switchback in their pocket figuring they would lay it on the table assuming they would be in the SB. They were right. The Eagles didn't bite on it once, they bit twice. The Eagles were out coached.

  • @clifforddicarlo9178
    @clifforddicarlo9178 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My impression of SB 57 is that the Chiefs made fewer glaring errors than the Eagles. The most glaring Eagles' error was Hurts' fumble which lead instantly to a Chiefs touchdown. That was the game. But, right before Hurts' fumble, the Eagles Right Guard drew an off-sides penalty. Had Siemalu not gone off-sides the Eagles would have run their >90% successful 1 yard Rugby Scrum play for a first down and might have then gone down the field for either a 3-point or 7-point score.

  • @ClavisRa
    @ClavisRa ปีที่แล้ว

    The thing that baffles me about the change of direction stuff is really, it's just poor execution of basic fundamentals. Could be seen as players trying to do too much instead of just do your job. They should be trailing their cover by a step so if they keep going they can't turn the corner on them on the other side, and if they change direction they can match them. It's not difficult or complicated, just poorly executed fundamentals. The Eagles faced the softest slate of opposing offenses ever this season, and then had the most ridiculous luck in the playoffs, first getting matched up with the Giants who they know well as division rivals, and who have zero matchup advantages over them, and then a no-QB Niners. They got exposed as a defense in every regard, players and coaching both. We really are living in a league of parity the last two years with a lot of bad playoff football. It sucks. I'm ready for great teams again and great rivalries, but I think it's going to take a few years for that to shake out.
    As for the field goal, I can guarantee you that Belichick would have known the exact condition of the field and how it was going to affect every aspect of the game before the game started. That's on Reid not realizing the kicker was likely to slip even on an easy one.

  • @jordancoccia6590
    @jordancoccia6590 ปีที่แล้ว

    On that first play the two offensive linemen literally tackled Reddick! What seemed clever was their oline getting away with all kind of dirty moves which literally allowed the chiefs to basically play back yard football to get yards! Nothing overly clever about it. Andy was the coach of my team for 13 years he is definitely an all time great coach but a lot happened out there besides him out coaching Sirianni. The inexperience of Gannon who made the defensive backs play man while swapping with the safeties on misdirection routes which was idiotic! I am so happy Gannon is leaving the birds. He had an all star defensive roster he is going to be horrible in the next phase of his career. That slippery field condition in the Super Bowl is another factor that should not have existed, Chiefs having training camp there gave them such a huge advantage.

    The funniest thing about this Super Bowl was that all four of Fox's pre-game talking heads picked the Eagles to win, with at least one picking the Eagles by 10. Just goes to show that even if a person played pro football, they don't need to know much about picking winners in football to make millions talking about football.

    • @darkwingduck3477
      @darkwingduck3477 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think a lot of talking heads weren't taking into account the quality of the competition each team faced. The Chiefs offense was going to be the best Eagles have played against and Mahomes was the best QB they played against all year by miles. They were looking at the Eagles dominant performance against the Giants and 49ers whereas the Chiefs barely won over the Bengals and were all like "Yeah eagles are going to win. They look unstoppable!"
      People kept saying how good the Eagles defense was without taking into account that the best QB they played against all year was kirk cousins. Top three QBs this year have been Mahomes, Joe Burrow and Josh Allen. None of which the Eagles had faced.

    Reid didn’t do anything the refs made the CHEIFs win they stopped the smith catch that was in then a holding THAT WAS A TUG If the wr was never touched it Would of been Intentional grounding.
