I love the smile you have once the vocals came in, one of my favorite bands...your smile makes me smile and Chino makes many smile with his amazing voice!!
It's much longer on the album: 5 mins. Basically the rest is more vocal volume and distortion but not that many different lyrics or riffage. Even though I had a major affinity for this song back in this day because of the message and catchiness, actually just listening to the shorter video may bring more appreciation to some. Chino is one of the most unique vocalists we've seen.
I know reactors pause, it's a thing, but since they always seem to pause at the worst possible time, the best ones back it up about 10 seconds when they start back. It gives the song much more continuity. Just a thought.
Yeah, this was the “single” version of the song, made shorter for the radio. It was one of their biggest hits from back in the day. This song is actually from 1997, so the band was much younger even though they had been around for almost 10 years at that point
As far as Chino's look- for one he likes to switch it up, for two, frankly he's been way up and way down as far as his weight over the years. i'm sure it's been a personal struggle, but its out there for all to see and one could definitely be confused at how much he's gone back and forth. That voice has always been stellar.
@@fredrickcosma8942 I know that, but that's the way to find it on youtube. If I told him to react to a fan edit of the song, how he will find it? I appreciate your opinion about this version, but I like it more than the original one.
Moon Gazer There’s most of Deftones’ actual discovery he hasn’t listened to lol, I just don’t see why a moderately decent fan edit of a crosses song is worth reacting to at all
It's the same vocalist, but he is much younger in this video. If you react to Hole In The Earth music video you will be totally unable to recognize him.

Listen to the Acoustic version from the B-Sides and Rarities album. It’s on TH-cam somewhere - there’s a video - which was clearly shot on the same day as this one. (Found the link) th-cam.com/video/Oi8V4G6FSlQ/w-d-xo.html
The singer (Chino Moreno) has also been part of many other bands like Team Sleep and Crosses. I suggest you listen to some songs by Team Sleep: Ever, Princeton Review, and your Skull is Red live at Woodstock sessions
Regarding your comment on how Chino looks in this video - I remember reading a Deftones album review from years ago where the critic said that you’ll know how good a new Deftones album is based on how many chins Chino has when he walks out of the recording studio. Had me in stitches.
unfortunately for the reactions i'm familiar with most of metallica's work but am considering a series where i analyze and discuss songs i've already heard :)
1:33 Send The Pain Below is massively influenced by this song.
It's borderline plagiarism imo. Still a good song though.

Palms - Future Warrior
Team Sleep - Ever
Crossess - This Is A Trick (the Deftones remake)
Moon Gazer The crosses song isn’t a Deftones remake, that’s just a fan edit not even worth reacting to
