Yo mate good video guide you had there, I've been playing this great game for 2 months and getting hook already 😅. About your stealth set I found that Leather Boots are actually better than Dark Silent Shoes it also gives more protection in combat. Another things i don't like with the Black Hood but instead I using Dark Combat Jacket which are more protective but also less visible and less noise (you can get better stats if you have Saville Row, Stuffing, and Well Groom sub-skill from Maintenance).
I'm planning on replaying KCD before II releases and this will likely be my build. Maybe put some fancy stuff away for high end missions. I like the idea of Henry as a bit of a Rake.
there are a few adjustments i would make, some personal preference and some are objective improvements 1) if i'm not carrying st. george's, the sword i would carry is the shortsword stinger. the stab damage is the single highest damage value in the game, and you WILL one hit any enemy that isn't wearing a faceplate, and even then you're going straight through it probably 3-4 times out of 10 2) like the other guy mentioned, the ring you get for intimidating the hood-wearing charcoal burner in Besmirched is better for stealth on account of 0/0/0 3) the leather boots are objectively better than the quiet dark shoes or silent shoes. with max maintenance and its benefits, which you should have approximately 15 minutes after leaving skalitz, they have 0 noise and are lower in both conspicuity and visibility after you repair them 4) i prefer the padded chausses to the mail ones, the noise difference isn't that severe, only 2 or 3 points, but you so rarely get hit in the legs (in my experience it literally only happens on horseback) that i don't think the extra protection is worth any stealth reduction. for this same reason, most stealth-focused players also leave out leg plate entirely, but i personally don't 5) the magdeburg plate pauldrons seem to be bugged as of the time of writing this, and they get a massive boost from the benefits of padding compared to normal armor. after you repair them, they have little to no effect on your stealth, and are massively more protective than the simple plate ones
Three different pieces I think, 1. Lord of Leipa Gauntlets instead of Saxon Gauntlets (Leipa has slightly better blunt, better visibility and much more charisma; but worse conspic and slightly more noise) 2. Tight Black Hose instead of Decorate Black Hose (Tight has much better vis/conspic but less char) 3. Saxon Composite Chausses instead of Short Brigandine Chausses (this change makes the most sense they are better in everything except 4 less charisma) Otherwise everything else remains the same as Griff's guide. They would function nearly identically, this one is slightly more tanky in the legs.
Hey! Awesome armor guide! I need to watch more of these guides to learn more setups, you have quite the arsenal! I want to ask for clarification. At the end of the video you say you can get your Charisma higher by visiting the bath house (to get the Alpha Male temporary perk) or getting freshly rested. Could you explain what you meant by "getting freshly rested?" Also I just discovered while looking this stuff up on the KCD Fandom page, you can get the Smitten temporary perk by going out with Theresa after completing Courtship which gives +3 Charisma for the same duration as the +2 Charisma Alpha Male! This was added to the game alongside A Woman's Lot. Just thought I'd add that!
Damn I'm a new player and I'm overwhelmed with all the armor I've looted/stolen leveling up stealth. Dunno where to start/what to keep. This sounds like what will suit my intended playstyle very well, and allow me to clear out all the extra stuff I have for Groschen instead of cluttering up my chest!
Very good & informative video as always. You said you did not favor a helmet with a visor when using your bow, but surely the visor only come down when you draw your sword, right? Right? I use the Lords of Leipa Houndskull myself, a very cool look! (Also, this weekend i just got the achievement for 50 headshot enemies. It was not easy, i tell ye! Are you using a mod to amp your arrow damage? I ask cause my better piercing arrows are only doing 75 damage and I'm level 20 in bows. Thanks in advance.
I've been waiting for this video. You did an amazing job. Does it matter what gauntlets you use? Because I don't want to use the Lords of Leipa gauntlets. I have them, I just don't want to use them. Does the Lords of Leipa have higher Charisma stats and other gauntlets and lower visibility?

Is there a way to damage the hose or mail chausses underneath the outer ones? I'd think those would also help bring things down even more.

You are correct. Visor only comes down when using melee weapons.

Nope, no mods active in this playthrough. Just a good bow, better piercing arrows, and level 20 bow, level 20 strength, level 20 agility, etc.
