She was there for four years and barely did anything, yet she leaves and goes to AEW and works with their coaches and she looks better after every match in less than a year.
I think it's more she was a learning fish in a big pond with other some more some less experienced fish. In AEW cause of the performance center where she trained for 4 years ( AEW didn't teach her). She is a experienced fish in a smaller pond with alot of less experienced fish. So she will stand out. Still very talented woman either way

Often over looked on many lists of WWE performance people now in AEW is Preston Vance "10" . He has come into his own. For a guy wearing a mask and has to sell with body language, putting him with Evil Uno was a smart idea. Having Tay with dark order also has elevated her star power. It's undeniable how much an effect Brody Lee had on AEW in the very short time he was there.

We love that AEW has lived up to Cody's promise of being the Ellis Island of pro wrestling. By granting genuine trust to their talent and letting them present themselves and perform unshackled. It is a Festival of Nations in which some styles compliment each other while others clash, yet it still works because it's more authentic not trying to jam everyone into a same-shaped niche. With the rise of MMA and popularity of boxing, it's time for pro wrestling in America be more "realistic", more martial arts inspired to gather new audience and be "mainstream" again. Pro wrestling needs to follow that path to be popular like was in the 90s and early 2000s, Tay Conti is the type of wreslter who fits that, Jon Moxley and Jake Haegar also can fit that description. There's still room for flashy gimmicks and suspension of disbelieve, but that can't be the main focus, because pro wrestling needs to adapt for the new generations. Great video! One of my favorite things about Tay's rise is her respectful rivalry with Shida. You just don't see that kind of mutual respect in Western wrestling, particularly women's wrestling.

I LOVE when Tranquilo shows how the storyline is made perfect in AEW and it's logical Tay be where she is now. And I love to see how is that I like so much a wrestler, because AEW did a great booking. I didn't remember Tay losing with Nayla. Tay is just another example of how bad WWE training center is. Not just that - just how WWE and its very specific style doesn't mess well with a lot of people. Wrestlers need to have their own styles, which fit into themes. Good matches can showcase the differences in styles, and make a good story. Look at how so many of the people who left WWE came over, reinvented themselves, and were able to prove how good they are in the ring, on the mic, with character, etc. Hopefully when Vince dies, maybe Triple H will wise up and finally go back to the Attitude era of wrestling. Not so much the gross adult humor, but more the letting the stars define themselves, with less creative input from creative. Let people be themselves, quit shoving people down the fans throats, and quit having a single 'WWE' style. It's ruined their product and ruined a good amount of their stars. But back Tay - she's tremendous. I really can't wait to see more from her. I'm hoping she'll get better with promos - her accent is very heavy, but so is Shida's. Just minor pet peeve to me. Beyond that, just her able to take her own experience with MA and use it to make her wrestling so much better can definitely be seen. And its gets better when she's with opponents (say Shida, Thunder Rosa) who can take the stiffness and make her look like a million bucks throwing out hard strikes.

If AEW ever does a tour of Japan, they should really look into sending some of their women to Stardom. Tay Conti would be a perfect fit for the joshi puroresu scene. That brand goes all out, even among New Japan standards sometimes.
The same thing can be said about Deonna Purzzazo, Chelsea Green and more recently Rachel Ellering when they and us the fans thought they were ready for a push when one of the top females in NXT got called up to the main roster but the door would be slammed in their face when WWE goes and sign a top female free agent and push them to the moon while those like Tay were stuck in catering or the house show circuit
I remember watching her a couple of times in NXT and while she was rough around the edges, there was definitely something about her that I could tell was gonna be great. Each time she got some time on screen, she got better. She's fantastic on AEW and I'm glad she is featured regularly on there now.
What a bummer that the ball has been dropped by AEW with Tay since this video. Pairing her up with Sammy on-screen was a mistake, even when they were working as faces.

It makes sense that the PC works for some wrestlers and not for others. It's not a complete failure or anything it's just not the end all be all like WWE would have us believe
It helps that not only is Tay a fantastic wrestler and a lovely person, she's also a literal _world-class_ beauty. Seriously, she's genuinely one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen anywhere. And the fact that she could kick your ass if you got handsy with her makes her even more awesome. She's an absolute no-brainer to become AEW Women's World Champion someday- in fact, she may even eventually be the one to unseat Britt in the end.
I think another damning indictment on the Performance Center actually came from Tay's fellow Brazilian in AEW, Cezar Bononi. Bononi was on Dan Matha's podcast a while back and he talked about how after his release, he started training at Shawn Spears and Tyler Breeze's school and they were literally teaching him shit that the Performance Center NEVER taught him. So yeah, to say people overrate the quality of the Performance Center would actually be VERY accurate, and between Tay Conti, Cezar Bononi (who's really grown into his own in AEW himself), and Nick Comoroto... that's all the proof we need that the Performance Center may not be the world-class training school that we've been led to believe it is.
Just to add she had no idea what pro wrestling was until she was signed in 2016. So it makes even more impressive. As a Brazilian fan seeing Tay and Bononi in TV really makes me proud

Something AEw excels at which wwe can’t seem to comprehend is getting people over in defeat which is so important in wrestling, notice how aew doesn’t do shit finishes or 50/50 booking, everything matters which is so nice to see in wrestling unlike wwe where nothing matters and we see the same match every damn week. The creation of the Performance Center is the worst thing that could have happened for wrestling. It allows WWE to sign hundreds of wrestlers to keep them on the PC being forced to forgot everything that made them stand out and learn the "WWE style". It also prevents this wrestlers from getting years of indie experience that would have made them improve and become real talents like Zayn, Owens, etc did. It's a good thing that AEW has no style and encourages everyone to wrestle in the most comfortable way according to their skillset.
some people just need a different environtment when it comes to learning not everyone can learn the exact same way we are more diverse than what those school experts are trying to make us believe this is the same reason why I don't like the school system as there those that simply doesn't learn at the same pace as others and is the reason why some are being left behind in class AEW just happens to have a much more diverse way of teaching.

Personal point regarding when you brought up her pairing with the Dark Order and having -1 acting in a pseudo-manager role of sorts always makes my=e mildly jealous of the little guy for getting to spend so much time around a beauty like Tay But hey the bragging rights he gets from working with AEW and the people there is fully deserved since what it cost him was something truly saddening, I need not elaborate I'm sure
Tay Conti is a big example that the WWE performance center is a waste. I'm not making this to be AEW vs WWE but what does this say about that performance center. Yes there are a handful of people that did make it, but that's just it. A handful out of how many hundreds that have come through those doors. I think that's damning that they can't make wrestlers from scratch and rely on established Indy wrestlers more. And yes some like Belair and Ripley have made it but again only a handful. Tay Conti unfortunately didn't mix because she's Strong Style and WWE wants to do it in their cookie cutter way. AEW gave her the platform to be herself and what she wants to be and she's run through it. ANd she's become one of my favorites. And it isn't just Tay. Supposedly Jade Cargill, Wardlow, Nick Conorato, and others were part of the performance center too and let go. What does that say? All of them are shaping up to be the main stays of AEW in the coming years like Darby, Jungle Boy, and many more.

This is the probleme with WWE. They prefer using the same big names again and again than trying to use new talent , obv they are going to be bad in their debut but you can't just sign big names after big names after big names , you need some new talent aswell. But since they pretty much give new talent 0 chance people like her and many others ( look at cesaro being not used for more than 8 years ).. it's just feel bad..
Not only Tay , but other talents the " performance " center had let down like Cezar Benoni and Nick Camarato are showing that AEW knows how to build new stars . Camarato never even made it to T.V. and Benoni was more or less enhancement talent in NXT. Now both are in factions in AEW and being utilized .

Honestly the AEW women’s division has been killing it this year. They’re only behind NXT as far as women’s divisions on TV go, in my opinion.

I didn’t know about Tay Conti’s history prior to AEW but it was easy to see how skilled and talented she was from her first match. She’s great.
I remember watching her a couple of times in NXT and while she was rough around the edges, there was definitely something about her that I could tell was gonna be great. Each time she got some time on screen, she got better. She's fantastic on AEW and I'm glad she is featured regularly on there now.

It helps that not only is Tay a fantastic wrestler and a lovely person, she's also a literal _world-class_ beauty. Seriously, she's genuinely one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen anywhere. And the fact that she could kick your ass if you got handsy with her makes her even more awesome. She's an absolute no-brainer to become AEW Women's World Champion someday- in fact, she may even eventually be the one to unseat Britt in the end.

I think another damning indictment on the Performance Center actually came from Tay's fellow Brazilian in AEW, Cezar Bononi. Bononi was on Dan Matha's podcast a while back and he talked about how after his release, he started training at Shawn Spears and Tyler Breeze's school and they were literally teaching him shit that the Performance Center NEVER taught him. So yeah, to say people overrate the quality of the Performance Center would actually be VERY accurate, and between Tay Conti, Cezar Bononi (who's really grown into his own in AEW himself), and Nick Comoroto... that's all the proof we need that the Performance Center may not be the world-class training school that we've been led to believe it is.

Something overlooked in the Conti vs Shida match was Shida was very heelish in that fight.

Something AEw excels at which wwe can’t seem to comprehend is getting people over in defeat which is so important in wrestling, notice how aew doesn’t do shit finishes or 50/50 booking, everything matters which is so nice to see in wrestling unlike wwe where nothing matters and we see the same match every damn week. The creation of the Performance Center is the worst thing that could have happened for wrestling.
It allows WWE to sign hundreds of wrestlers to keep them on the PC being forced to forgot everything that made them stand out and learn the "WWE style". It also prevents this wrestlers from getting years of indie experience that would have made them improve and become real talents like Zayn, Owens, etc did.
It's a good thing that AEW has no style and encourages everyone to wrestle in the most comfortable way according to their skillset.

some people just need a different environtment when it comes to learning not everyone can learn the exact same way we are more diverse than what those school experts are trying to make us believe this is the same reason why I don't like the school system as there those that simply doesn't learn at the same pace as others and is the reason why some are being left behind in class AEW just happens to have a much more diverse way of teaching.
Overtime aew has won me over because it's different and there's actual personalities that anyone can vibe with. Like I vibe with kingston and moxley, the dark orders number 10, evil uno, John silver and negative 1 and Anna Jay, Tay conti. The lucha bros, hangman page and jurassic express.

Personal point regarding when you brought up her pairing with the Dark Order and having -1 acting in a pseudo-manager role of sorts always makes my=e mildly jealous of the little guy for getting to spend so much time around a beauty like Tay
But hey the bragging rights he gets from working with AEW and the people there is fully deserved since what it cost him was something truly saddening, I need not elaborate I'm sure

Tay Conti is a big example that the WWE performance center is a waste. I'm not making this to be AEW vs WWE but what does this say about that performance center. Yes there are a handful of people that did make it, but that's just it. A handful out of how many hundreds that have come through those doors. I think that's damning that they can't make wrestlers from scratch and rely on established Indy wrestlers more. And yes some like Belair and Ripley have made it but again only a handful. Tay Conti unfortunately didn't mix because she's Strong Style and WWE wants to do it in their cookie cutter way. AEW gave her the platform to be herself and what she wants to be and she's run through it. ANd she's become one of my favorites.
And it isn't just Tay. Supposedly Jade Cargill, Wardlow, Nick Conorato, and others were part of the performance center too and let go. What does that say? All of them are shaping up to be the main stays of AEW in the coming years like Darby, Jungle Boy, and many more.
WWE is a factory producing products of similar shape and sizes if you don't fit the mould you get split out.

This is the probleme with WWE. They prefer using the same big names again and again than trying to use new talent , obv they are going to be bad in their debut but you can't just sign big names after big names after big names , you need some new talent aswell. But since they pretty much give new talent 0 chance people like her and many others ( look at cesaro being not used for more than 8 years ).. it's just feel bad..
Not only Tay , but other talents the " performance " center had let down like Cezar Benoni and Nick Camarato are showing that AEW knows how to build new stars . Camarato never even made it to T.V. and Benoni was more or less enhancement talent in NXT. Now both are in factions in AEW and being utilized .
