Something about your suggestion of a "sleeping spell"
Remember the town that was inflicted by a sleeping curse that Sein had to help get rid of? As I mentioned, that's considered a "curse" in this world.
Based from what Frieren says, "curses" aren't inherently bad magic, but rather, it's magic that isn't understood by humanity. The only other form of magic not understood by humanity but could still be casted are "blessed magic" by those who have the blessings of the Goddess.
So to summarize: They wouldn't be able to cast sleeping magic because humanity hasn't figured out a way to use it yet.

To be fair, I completely forgot about that as a possibility until you brought it up. Then I was like "Hmm... I wonder if there was a sleeping spell casted on anybody?" XD
Fern caught the Stille so fast BECAUSE Ever since she was little her mana detection has been at the top and probs is better than Frierens!

Yep I tooooootally read the subtitles wrong lol. I figured it out in the next episode. Sometimes I mis read the subtitles which is why I like watching the dub too

Denken is so awesome. I won't say much but that his grandfatherly-like relationship that he has with Laufen (the ninja girl on his team) is very wholesome and fun. It actually reminds me a lot of Frieren and Fern.

@@lindsayroutliffe To be fair Fern could only have ever seen Heiter's junk for the reference and for all we know our holy boy could've been loaded with a 12 incher, still giving Stark plenty of room to be above average ;P
Eventually you learn who Ehre's grandfather is. Remember that she compared Fern to him when you do.
Ehre has the most mana, but she lacks the confidence and experience that Wirbel has. She also probably has a massive crush on him.

Richter - Judge, but probably actually a reference to the Richter Scale for earthquakes

Oh interesting about Richter cause I link his name and his abilities in the next episode as being a Richter scale but judge also makes sense for him 😱
I had a thought it might also refer to the verb "richten" as in fixing something, because he runs his little repair shop. It is fitting at the very least.

As a person who has consulted the sacred texts which tell of Frieren's future (read the manga), you saying that one mage doesn't matter is pretty amusing.
