I don't think the grave in the end credits is supposed to be Fern's grave. It looks like Flamme's grave, and then Fern's ribbon she wore as a child leads Frieren to Fern. I took the end credits sequence to symbolize how Frieren hadn't allowed herself to feel close to anyone since Flamme died, but after Himmel's death she started changing and raising Fern was a big part of that.
Exactly, I think a lot of people misinterpret it. I think it's literally about Frieren finding Fern.

I've been assuming the very very end of this series will be frieren returning to visit stark & fern after like 20 yrs just b4 they die... & she is pleasantly surprised to discover they have a son & daughter... mage & warrior trained ready for an adventure w/the Timeless Legendary Mage Frieren

The binding spells used by Frieren and Wirbel are different from each other, mainly by the distance they could be used: Frieren's has a requirement of 50cm while Wirbel's is shown to be used farther than 50cm.
The temperature question is indeed interesting haha, and thinking about it didn't lead to me to an answer😅but instead to another, related question of if the barrier is affecting the examination's weather in other ways besides physically stopping the water from the rain outside. Oh well. The only thing I can be sure of is that based on how the weather is shown in the past episodes, the show seems to depict it properly. (Anyone who may be able to give answers to these questions? haha)
The Stille casually landing near the proctors (who are first-class mages) shows that such extreme level of mana suppression which has been mind-blowing when done by Frieren in the past episode can also be done by the finest of human mages. This shows what humans are capable of and the level difference of when even that is compared to when Frieren is instead using her comparatively even more extreme, demon-fooling level of mana suppression.

I promise you would love every character in this arc.
To elaborate on the concealing mana thing; in the flashback with Flamme, she explains that demons always fight a mage out in the open, head on. Ubel said something similar. When Land suggests they hide until the test is over, she says, "thats not how mages should fight." Then, Wirbel launched a surprise attack, but after it failed, they each squared off 1v1 and fought each other separately. With his ability, they could have easily won if he bound an opponent while a teammate attacked them, then repaet until all 3 were defeated or they surrendered the stille. Then again, Denken and Richter stepped out in the open to confront frieren and company instead of ambushing them. It all goes back to what Flamme said that only she and Frieren should take on this dishonorable way of fighting all in the hope of destroying demons. Mages, both demon and human, refuse to "fight dirty" in a battle against other mages. Even when they occasionally launch a surprise attack, they only use deception in the first attack before fighting openly, like what Lugner and now Wirbel have done

There's multiple ways to translate the subtitle of Frieren. Notably, all three are effective. Beyond Journey's End is self-explanatory. So is the second, Frieren the Slayer. The third translation is Frieren at the Funeral. That tombstone she's at, that third translation... it fits, because throughout the journey that the show encompasses, Frieren is remember and recontextuallizing her feelings and memories of Himmel, Heiter, Eisen, Flamme, Voll, and others. This has both positive and negative moments - the joy of understanding, the pain of not being able to go back and do things differently. In a way, a part of Frieren has never left those funerals.
Also, note that Wirbel's declaration of heroism, and the stance he took in the flashback defending Ehre - both very much deliberately mirror moments Himmel himself did. (The shot of him protecting Ehre is staged almost exactly like the same shot in episode 2 of Himmel saving the little girl who would grow to care for his statue). Just noting.

The ending wasnt about Fern dying... At the beginning Frieren is at a grave (Flamme's grave) then she's wondering alone for a while, the at the end she saw a butterfly that turned out to be Fern, so at the end she does not feel alone anymore coz she has Fern, it's about Frieren finding Fern...

Not crazy at all. It's his best chance to fight a legendary mage relatively safely. Why not go for it? Denken is all about pushing boundaries and testing himself. To him, challenging Frieren makes perfect sense, even if the odds are against him.
