Between you and Auto Autopsy, these videos are really helping me put some bling into my '07 2.0T with junkyard finds. 3 projects juggling all at once: Bose upgrade/splice harness from boring Pioneer; bad wheel hub, so with knuckle pulled off, swap the Aero 16+" calipers, brackets, dust shields; swap entire upholstery with 60th anniversary trim (rare find); side quest: swap 60th wood accents with Aero graphite (pray Gorilla Glue is the real deal) Rant over
Thanks for the comments and glad the videos are helpful! I can speak from first hand experience and say it will be easier to swap out the entire door panel rather than removing the fake wood piece and replacing with the silver aero trim. Reason is those pieces are plastic riveted which requires removal of the door panel to drill out from the back of the panel. You can use a combination of epoxy glue and self tapping screws to re-fasten but at that point it would be better to just swap the entire panel.
interestingly this exact interior trim is scratched up in my saab as well, been this since i bought it used 2 years ago so i figured it was time :D thanks for the video
Yeah I bought one and was given one the same week lol. I used the best of the two and traded the other for more Saab parts! Did you end up figuring out how to get Onstar working with your sat nav install?
@@WeakestofWeeks Yes kinda i have to change two wires around but it works and Bluetooth works as well but screeches a bit just haven't had a chance to swap some wires yet
Oh my god I'm a Bloody Butcher I painted mine red 2004 arrow convertible I just ripped it out and broke the clipping near the button oh well super glue will be no one knows haha
Great video and camera work! Just an FYI though, let the wife know that if that airbag should go off with her feet on the dash, her legs will end up either behind her or inside somewhere they shouldnt. As a firefighter just don't want to see one of these ever again.
Door you know how to remove the silver door panel piece from my aero? I found the carbon finer ones. 2006 Aero w manual. It looks like a trim tool project?
I do know and they do not just pop out. They're plastic riveted in. You can pull the entire door panel off then drill the rivets from the back. You will need to epoxy the replacements in. Not going to lie it is a lot of work!
Какой смысл был менять. Это значит одно что на Сааб нет поломок и можно заниматься всякой ерундой. Извиняюсь. По русски. Не чего личного. Когда коту заняться не чем он яйца свой моет.

Can the button be removed without taking the glove box apart? Mine is wearing out and looks bad. I want to replace it but keep the silver trim piece.
Nice video :D Thanks!

Definitely don't want to experience or ever witness that! I'll most certainly pass that on. Thank u!

Phew... That was complicated.
The dog is not secured in the car, do you hate dogs?
The cars parked in his driveway, idling with the ac running. I would say the dog is pretty well taken care of you 🔔🔚
