For the finger to have been fossilized, I bet she was millions of years old. It upsets longstanding archaeology professors if "forbidden" evidence like that comes to light. 🙃

Wooow 👍🏻 Amazing finds guys 🤠 Green river formation is a gorgeous fossil spot! Congrats to these wonderful fossils! And Joe did a great prep work! Seeing these framed black fossils on this clear matrix it's such a great sight 😃
My friends house actually has those plates on his walls. all down his hallway some in his living room floor. around his fire place all in his bathroom. and all on the backsplash of his kitchen. it's beautiful and they're real and I'm so jealous fish every where..
An insane lot of work.....But what beautiful fossil's WOW....This hast to be one of the best video's you guy's have ever made....Thanks for sharing this.....!
Excellent work, the time, effort and patience paid off. Good luck on your endeavors. I am so amused by this channel and I hope you guys will be around for a long long time..
I remember finding Sticklebacks fossils at Hazan, Nevada about 40 miles from Reno. I got some nice aquatic plants also but no leaves and nothing like this stuff, great.

I've never found myself interested in fossils yet everytime YT recommends one of your videos I watch. I surrender lol, I am an official subscriber now 😁
Just found this channel and it looks absolutely awesome. Love your style and the incredibly specimens you guys find. Let me know if you are ever in NC, I know a spot where we can find a few hundred shark teeth (sandbar tigers, bull, lemon, white, mako, snaggletooth, and sometimes meg or ang) in a few hours of digging and sifting. Subbed and excited for more content!
Thanks for subbing, we can't wait to share more. It's always amazing to think of all the cool stuff constantly around us. Enjoyed checking out your channel, reminds me that we should document some of the wildlife we see more often!
@@DiggingScience It definitely is, the earth is full of treasures both above and below ground. I'd love to see some of the wildlife you run into, and I'll have to start filming some of my fossil and mineral finds. Looking forward to keeping up with your content and maybe linking up sometime if our paths cross!
I found your channel a few days ago (recommended to me by TH-cam cause I'm a nerd like that) and I love your videos! Your enthusiasm is awesome and I really appreciate the detailed information you share in the description. You should organize fossil hunting trips! I would definitely be keen to go on a fossil hunting trip with you as a guide. I'm sure many of your viewers would pay good money for that - I mean sure, it's for the science, but you gotta eat and pay the bills, right? Keep up the great work!
Great finds!!! I loved watching this. You guys worked SO hard!! Wow! And I must say... you have such a nice, humble, easy-going countenance... which makes watching you even more fun... but your buddy needs a little work on his snark and snap-backs to you. He could have left out many of his ad-libs....too rude. 💚💚💚
We would go to the local quarry that Sir David Attenborough 1st got his love for the world we live in. He use to go there as a child just the same as we did. I did not know he was from around were I was born, but I seen one of his interviews and he talked about it. Can I ask what you do with all the things that you find? Do you work for a museum and do these things go on display?
I do not work for a museum but a large part of my collection is on display at various museums. Loved hearing your story and hope to see you around in future videos!
Just found your page ! New subscriber and I thumbs up your page !! Where in Florida are you guys based at? I’m a Floridian too. Do you sell or have your own museum ? Cheers boys.
I love fossils, I would love to find a fish or two. I have found a few leaves but none are perfect - I still display them though :) Your fossil areas are amazing - and so are the fossils you found.
Hi. I happen to be an amature fossil hunter in my younger days, but would "LOVE" to hunt fossils again. I have a question for u. I currently live in western north carolina & am curious(?) to know if 1.)what could be found if any in the river beds, 2.) where exactly would i look. I dont know the history of western north carolina & its mountains. Any suggestions or pointers u could give me would be greatly appreciated!! I 💖 ur video's. A great passion of mine & thank u for all that u do for the knowledge & history !! Thank you Bonnie. H.
Do you post a video where you explain how you prep them? I am planning to go fossil fish hunting in Holmzmaden, Germany in September but I’m a newbie and I’d like some info on how to extract and prep these fossils
I'm a avid angler and would love to have any kind of fossilized fish in my collection, I find plenty of teeth and verts in my area but would be awesome to go somewhere I can get a full fish.
What an amazing video! You guys need to apply for more money so you can hire some grunts. Maybe put some interns to work. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!
I was at a dig in Canada that was under Uppsala university and we were low budget. We used silverware knives and rubber mallets to split strata. My favorite part was the sound. You’d hear dink… dink… dink,,,, then a duuuh… and this hollow sound would indicate the split. Then you got to see if you found something… Good times…. Good times…
That pizza joint must be the only decent food in WY. The whole state is bland, culinary-wise! The final products are really beautiful and I appreciate the explanation of the kerogen differences! Where would I like to go fossil hunting? Florida, of course! Peace River!
OK-- now I see the final result -after exhaustive prepping --nice work --now I can clearly see the fish fossil ---at the end of the vid ---staining with what chemical ? All the bones are now visible --thankyou !(I live in Africa )
You don’t realize just how fragile that shale is until you pick it up pretty incredible you guys can keep it from cracking I have only handled relatively small pieces and always feel like it’s about to shatter
Would love to see some of the prep work being done, maybe would look cool sped up. Cheers for another awesome video!
Glen Rose, Texas we have dinosaur footprints in the river. They also found a fossilized woman's finger. Oh and around Waco, Texas we have Mammoth.

I would love to go fossil hunting back where I grew up. The flinthills of Kansas.
Probably the Kem-Kem beds. I have a thooth from there. I will never, but thats what id choose.
I like to fossil hunt at the beach because there are creeks and we always make smal creeks to flush the sand of the pyrite amonites.
@@biancaschulz8917 that would be so cool!
Like I said Glen Rose, TX. They have good finds there. We have a duck billed dinosaur and very visible footprints in the river bed.
Woahhhh. Those fish really transformed with the prepwork!
Keep on keepin on. You guys are interesting and fun to vicariously watch ;)
what process did you use to clean up those fossils
Joe has a professional lab setup with air abrasive tools and vibrating microdrills.

Very interesting video. Quick question: do you need a specific claim in order to dig fossils in USA?
This is so interesting...what do you do with the fossils afterward?
