Wow, thank you for getting back to me on the last video I responded. 453T with jakes ! I thought I heard you say along with (thought I saw the spacer under the valve cover, usually meaning jakes) wow what a awesome find! Once all cleaned up this thing is going to be awesome ! Reliable !!! Is it a fuller 6610 (maybe missed that in the video just heard 10 speed) Do you know your axle gears (what the truck will spin rpm wise out on the highway) I’m a dang big kid in excitement for this one! Awesome find and awesome that you are bringing it back to life ! 🤜🤛👍👍
Yes, 2 stage jake and a RTO 6610 OD transmission, 4.10 gears has the stock 285/85 16 tires on it. When I drove it home she was not happy with all the gunk in the fuel I drove it about 40 miles home, Haven't got the chance to take it out on a test drive yet since I got the fuel system cleaned out. I think i will be putting Good Year Military 12R/37 16.5 OZs on it I have run them on other rigs and they work well But I am still toying with the idea of skying it out like my '75 highboy and putting 46" Good Year militaries on it. But that is way down the road. I have the 16.5 rims in stock to put the 37s on it and have access to tires. It's all about the time I have to work on it, I am a Fireman and work 2 different departments plus I do air medical dispatch. So my play time is limited.
I would LOVE to have a F-350 like exactly like this truck. Ear to ear grin while going through the gears waiting to try the Jakes.
