You mentioned lime and fertilizer. Would love a video on your thoughts on this subject some day. I'm trying to grow my horse pasture and don't know where to start. Thank you for the content!
I’ve kinda learned by looking at the grass quality and weed content what the fields need. But I’d recommend getting a soil test done and see what your ground calls for. Your local extension agent should be able to help. Thanks for watching
Your Massey Ferguson 1745 baler does a nice job. I had a NH 654 for about 15 years that was a twine wrap and it had the clutch on it to disengage the belts when it was unloading, had issues with it though. I hope all goes well for the remainder of the season, also hope you all have a nice week!
That is some really nice looking hay. Seems like that massey baler is still doing a really good job for you making some nice even rolls. Once massey redesigned there baler the ones I seen people using have been making some nice even rolls with little problems out of there balers. Good job on that hay buddy some real quality. My old baler didn't have the declutch on it and it would roll the belts up if you opened the door on it with the pto on it don't take but one time to make that mistake. But once I got my new john deere baler the declutch has spoiled me and it also having net has spoiled me bad because of the time it saves.
It’s always amazed me how a little wind can dry up a little rain shower or even wet roads with freezing conditions, you may find a few Ice spots but for the most part if it’s windy it will dry the roads with little to no issues. Do you fell like that you could get three cuttings this year out of you top producing fields. Like you said you have put forth the effort to improve the fields with lime and fertilizer.
What a haul! Glad to see everything running smoothly, and with good yields to boot. You do a good job caring for your fields. It’s fun to have been following you for a few years now and getting to know/recognize your fields as you work through them. How many acres total this year? Anyway, great work!
Very nice, quick question, we have the same baler but Hesston, is there a trick so that the twine end when the bale is ejected stays on the bale, ours when ejected the twine end is loose and consequently when the bale is moved with the tractor the twine end gets caught under the front wheel and then you know what happens next, very annoying as we have to go round and tuck the twine end in on almost every bale to avoid this, thank you.

I’m not sure I’ll try for 3 cutting this year unless it just looks really good early on. Thanks for watching

Anyway, great work!
I cut the last field today. I honestly have no idea how many acres we cut. I’m guessing around 75 but it could be more. Thanks for watching

@@khtractors what day did you get done with school
@@khtractors what are you doing today oh oh
Dad needs to tell Ben Kennedy what day and year it is
I am sure he knows but when one is as busy as he is, it is easy to forget to mention day and date. Anyway, new videos are 2024
Pretty sure you can buy a calendar at Walmart Ray, be easier than waiting on me to say the date. Thanks for watching
