I enjoyed the video, we have a ten wheel Kuhn rake it is one of the best I have pulled, I have found out the faster you can pull it the better it rakes, one thing that I like is if the window gets to big you can lock the left side up and use the right side and rake everything out, thanks for sharing this.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks I will check a few other things out you suggested.the radiator is clean and injection pump was just rebuilt.
If the injection pump was rebuilt recently it could be the static timing is off. The pump can rotate a small amount (slotted holes where it bolts up) which advances or retards the timing. If it’s to far advanced it could cause overheating. This would only show up most likely under working conditions.
I guess Brian and ac laid the fertilizer to theirs
Yep
I’ve got a 245 with 2,700 hrs on it I’ve had it a few months but I’ve noticed last few times I’ve bushhogged it has ran close to the hot side of gauge yesterday it got in the red but never blew the cap. It’s got new hoses and gauge on it just wander if you have any ideas. Think radiator has been worked on in the past. Thanks for your time I enjoy your videos we live in east tn sevier co area
It could be a few things. I’ve heard of bad head gaskets on the 152 Perkins having this symptom. Of course the thermostat. I assume you’ve cleaned your radiator good to make sure it’s not plugged with dust and debris? On rare occasions the injection pump going bad can cause heating issues. Start simple first when troubleshooting. Thanks for watching
Good morning
Hey Cody!
@@khtractors hi
@@khtractors good morning how are you doing this morning
You are a great example of a good neighbor and friend, showing not only your fields and the goodness that God has blessed you with but your friends and neighbors as well, and I must say that was really thick hay, truly amazing
It was some nice looking hay! Thanks for watching
Good ole tractors great video buddy 👍
Thanks 👍
Great video as usual Ben!!!
Thanks again!
That’s a great video. Heavy hay, big windrows. My JD 335 is almost identical to the 446, mine is manual hydraulic tie - couldn’t tell if the 446 was hydraulic or electric tie. I have not maxed my 335, don’t know if the guys considered this the limit for heavy windrows for the 446. This video was very informative as to the potential for my 335 when I get there with it. Thanks for posting!
I use to use this baler a lot. It will bale the thick hay fine but the pickup head leaves edges. Gathering wheels would probably help with that. Thanks for watching
Very thick hay for sure! I like the job he did on that old Case! Very nice!
Yeah it looks sharp! Thanks for watching
Great job on the video Ben God Bless
Thanks 👍
I always enjoy watch folks do hay, and boy oh boy was that some thick hay, which has it's own special problems to deal with. Thanks for sharing, have a Happy Fathers Day!
Thank you! Happy Father’s Day as well!
My daddy’s has an 1194 he bought new and he absolutely loves that little tractor. For its size they’re stout and handle great
They seem to be a good tractor! Thanks for watching
Question - looking over this video again, do you think your New Holland rake would have handled this heavy hay better? Just curious your thoughts - Thx!
I do think it would have. I’ve been around and used a few different style v rakes and the New Holland would be hard to beat. Mike was talking the other day on how much neater of a windrow my rake makes vs his Hesston. I’ve had zero frustrations or complaints with the New Holland so far.
Another great video! My great uncle had a case 1294 tractor and I like the sound of the case. Hay making weather!
They do sound good! Thanks for watching
If you went to meade tractor and got yourself a seat for a 5045 that wasn't an e I am sure you would be more satisfied
If they make one that will fit and is better.
That last field looked like you might not be able to go sideways on the steeper part there but I'm from NE Ohio and the hills we have are fewer than down there so it doesn't make sense to chance it here. Down there everyone has there wheels turned out like that Case did so it's nice and wide. I used to mow with a 950 and flail but the flail had a 7' roller so it helped keep the tractor stable. I wonder how many degrees those hills are? How many degrees are is too, much of an angle? In my experience (in a truck) is you're leaning (in the cab/seat) far enough that the inside of your should blade is touching the outside of your seat you should be careful because much more and you may be looking for a new job! Tractors are better than trucks but if you slide or something you can get hurt bad in a hurry, so be careful and have a good one. A trainer told the class that "you can take a turn too slow every time you go threw it! But you may only take it too fast once!" Those works stuck with me. Not trying to complain like the others, I get you learn what you can and can't do, and you and Dad are still going strong!
In the video I did before this one I showed using an angle meter on my phone going around a hill. It was 24 degrees, that’s getting to an uncomfortable point, I’ve been steeper going sideways but don’t like it. That field they baled last would be in the 22 degree range. Thanks for watching
That's some wonderful hay! Love that Case takes me back as a kid!
Thanks for watching!
Very Good Hay Season For You Sir 👌👌😇😇👍👍 Nice Tractor Team 👍👍😇😇👌👌💪💪Keep Up Your OUTSTANDING work Cheers 😇😇👍👍🍻🍻
Thanks 👍
White colored tractors are really so beautiful 😊
They do look nice! Thanks
I do like the look of that Massey Ferguson 4707 and the case looks good to. that rake is really hard to use in heavy hay or long straw sometimes. even to the point of just using one side and raking like you would with just a wheel rake. when hay thins a little the center kicker will help with the hay left in the field and prevent the re raking almost entirely. We have had one in the family for almost 10 years now i guess...uncle bought it when they first came out and it was a learning curve at first getting it adjusted. but like your new holland once adjusted and the hay is right there ain't nutting better.
I just wish the 4707 had a tighter turning radius. I think that part would annoy me some. I started to buy a Kuhn rake but glad I went with the New Holland. Thanks for watching
You was saying how your rake either balls up on thick stuff or too wide for that baler. We've got same size rake. We took that middle wheel out amd it helped us alot. Just a thought might try. It worked for us. We had the same problem at first
They wasn’t using the middle wheel but it still could be causing some hanging up. I have a New Holland rake and it seems to work pretty well. Thanks for watching
Good video
Glad you enjoyed!
Good morning Ben.
Thanks for watching!
That rake bunches the hay up almost as bad as our old steel wheel side delivery rake we used back in the 1960's. Terrible.
