It was very instructive to see how much you focused on maximising it, even taking size 2 enclosure bonus to get a few extra appeal. The opponent’s game started to fall apart with the Okapi Stable. Baited by the Herbivore icon and didn’t use it to play any sponsors. You’ll get used to the streaming thing, keep at it! It will become more normal with each video. Wasn't solely for native farm animals, since I got the 3 size from con-track, but yeh, insane card. I think my opponents game fell apart from his first build action, hehe. Thank you, the first picture I sent them actually got rejected, so I wonder how many seasons I have to win to put it on there.
@@JDSecretPolice Would have made sense if they kept the Horse, but their opening hand had too many other good options. Do you know if they plan on updating the picture for each season? I assumed they would keep your pic forever and just add the new season winners in the text!
@@NoWondersTV Whoever wins the season will have the option to send in a picture or a stock photo will be used. But yeh, since I'll win every season, they might just keep the picture forever
Nice video. I really enjoyed the commentary. The game was also exciting because both players had great starts. Few comments: 1. The developer should've put your photo into the Native Farm Animal (maybe put your face on the chicken head?) instead of Victory Column. You're literally the only top player that abuse that card to this extent. Most players would already be satisfied with ~6 appeals. I've lost count how many times that card gave you 10+ appeals. It's really beautiful and satisfying to watch. 2. Why do you often take size-2-hexes as a conservation bonus? For this specific game I'm guessing probably it's because of the native farm animal. But I notice that compared to other top players, I think you take that bonus much more regularly than the others. Personally I really like those size-2's as my 2nd conservation bonus. However, seeing how rare it is chosen by top players makes me questioning if it's good. 3. Like you said in the introduction, I think you glossed over some interesting stuffs due to this live commentary format. For instance, when you chose to discard the pygmy, you didn't explain why. In that position, I would've kept pygmy because I could go for herbivore4, but you decided to keep the monkey and aim for america5 instead. While I think keeping either card is a reasonable choice, I would love to hear why you ultimately chose to discard the pygmy. 4. Personally I like replay analysis better than live commentary because you can give more in depth insight. This game you spent 18 mins and you said it's already 3-5 mins slower than your usual pace. I think the next time you're doing live commentary, you should try to aim for at least 20 mins of thinking time so that you can explain your thought process more. Just my 2 cents. Considering this is your first time doing this, I would say you did a great job. I'm looking forward to watch your next video.

Money is better than size 2 because it gives you money. Snapping doesn't really give you anything for free, just increases your card quality and I think it's heavily overpicked. In a 2 player game, you can kinda cheese on tempo with the size 2, since you have more control over the break, so I guess that's why i'm taking size-2 regularly. 3) thinking back, i'm pretty sure that was a big missplay and I should just have focused on 4 herbis instead. talking is distracting

Just wait until you have to listen to your own voice while editing or whatever :) ups the freakiness by several factors. Joking aside, some feedback and suggestions - meant to be helpful, no disrespect or anything intended. There's another youtuber - No Wonders - who is great at colabs and has done so with top Ark Nova and Castles of Burgundy players. I imagine he'd be very happy to do one with you, if you're into that kind of thing. The game proceeds at a seriously breakneck speed. I get it - timer and all. It's hard to talk and play simultaneously. So if you're up for it, I highly suggest replay analysis where you can slow things down a little and explain more about your thought progress, which I imagine is what most people are interested in. Not to say there was anything the matter with your commentary in this video. Quite the contrary, I got a lot out of it. Anyway - mycket bra jobbat. I hope to see plenty more videoes!
That's why I keep editing to a minimum, hehe. I've actually done a replay analysis with Nowonders over at his channel. Haha, yeh, actually it's about 3-5 minutes slower than my average pace, but doesn't help my opponent played quickly as well. Def could have gone way more into detail and explain my moves a lot better in a replay analysis. I'm actually considering doing one of an interesting game I played today. Main issue I have with them is the bias it comes with and after construction of my thought process.
I would love to hear a more paused analysis. Certain times in the game I wondered why a particular decision, but the game was so fast that there was no way you could have deepened the point
1:00 If you were too high rated you were banned from coming to FNM's back then. With like 1900 in limited I had to play on organizer number since if I would lose even a single game I would drop below having free byes at GP's level...

Petting zoo play by opponent was strange. I guess they wanted to rush sponsors early, but felt very unnecessary.
It sure was, gave me a lot of time turn 1 to do what I wanted, since he didn't have enclosures for his animals
