I love how matter of fact it is, and I kept mentally thinking of what it would be like if it was a "reality" show on television. Your channel is really great and even though I love the countryside I also like big cities but I adore the concept of just working enough so you have enough money but just living your life exactly how you want to.
Just wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos. I live in Atlanta in America and first came to see your work as I checked out the kayak that you reviewed. I've been a viewer ever since. Keep up the great work.
in danger of becoming addicted to these videos mate, about to buy my first scope and now you're re-awakening an old desire for a narrow boat life. dammit dan i can't afford all this! have a good 1 mate
Very inspirational video Dan. I must say you seem to have a lot of energy with all the things that you do. You are also very organised unlike my friend Brian, who also has a narrowboat currently moored on the Ashby Canal. When you go on board it looks like a bomb has gone off, he is so disorganised. I think you have shown the importance of having a good routine and keeping things clean and tidy. I look forward to more of your videos.
Especially enjoyed seeing your "tri pod" set up. And the potatoes in the pasta nest was fun to see too. Best Wishes for a Healthy, Happy n Prosperous 2o15 Aloha, glennnnnn
I'm planning on moving on to a narrowboat when i start collage so about 6- 8 months time and I'm going straight from living my parents to this new life on the water your channel has really given me the drive to finally get somewhere I've always had an interest to live on the water i had considered a narrowboat before but gave up the idea but after watching some of your videos are thought why not so id like to say thank you any tips would be greatly appreciated happy sailing and i do wish you all the best -william
Happy New Year Dan. I do enjoy your videos. I was wondering though if you might include some of your interactions with other liveaboards. I just feel that it would make for an interesting series of videos. Just a thought for you to keep under advisement. Best of luck and keep up the good work.
I love each and every one of your videos. Keep producing awesome and enjoyable content! Also what's your job when you live on your Narrowboat as I interested on how you worked and lived on the boat. Thanks for everything! Sam
Fun video Dan. In your videos you show some of the food you like. In this one what got my attention was the chips beans and cheese. Just how are they made? I am wanting to try that combination. Maybe you could have a video of you making them. Thanks and safe boating.
Happy New Year Dan! Hope that 2015 is even more successful than your great 2014 was! Poor old Tilly didn't stand a chance against that cow, those things can really haul it haha I know, I've been chased off a couple of fields while out walking, they're surprisingly fast :D I was wondering how you uploaded videos from the boat.. haha you don't :D Makes sense, videos are far too big for mobile broadband. Best of luck in 2015!
Potato noodle bird nest! I think a pork chop would have been nice with that dinner. Do they let you carry your bike on the bus? Too much pizza will make you look like a truck driver, ha ha, like me. Biking after dark, have you ever ran off into the canal? Day 5 looks great! Day seven A+. As always the videos rate A+ mighty fine.
you too Dan keep boating!? I guess that's a phrase!. thanks for taking the time to do all this ,iv only been to wales once I think but it looks Insanely Beautiful !
Did you used to have a cover for the front of the boat? I'm sure i saw one once before, do you not use it anymore to keep things dry, another great video, thanks.
Hi, Dan! Greetings from New York City, USA! Any hopes of making your books available to customers outside of the UK? I tried to purchase one of your Narrowboat Books and unfortunately cannot because I live in the USA. I love your videos! Keep up the good work!
How do you keep your boat warm when you're not home? I'm contemplating buying one, but have a dog. If I'm at work in the winter, how do I keep the boat warm for her? 🤔
Dan, Here is an other NBing topic you could expand on that would most likely be of interest to the people that view your channel to consider. edition.cnn.com/2014/05/15/sport/are-sky-high-property-prices/ Aloha, Glennnnnnn
+Chivas6 can you burn your wood to keep yourself warm ? or snuggle up to your wood on a cold winters night ? me thinks not ? you could most probably work up some perspiration for a while but you sound like even that wouldn't last for long ???

Welcome to the New Year! I hope you find the coming days to be richly rewarding.
Awww pixie! How do you ever leave? The one downside of getting back home to Tilly, no waggy tail to greet you.
Happy New Year Dan! Hope that 2015 is even more successful than your great 2014 was! Poor old Tilly didn't stand a chance against that cow, those things can really haul it haha I know, I've been chased off a couple of fields while out walking, they're surprisingly fast :D

Hi Dan, this is a stupid question but how do you turn your boat around in the canal if you want to go the other direction?
Get a dog , great security for youre boat and great company on walks
