He’s right about the walking. It’s no joke! I worked at a private preschool previously and my steps on my Apple Watch activity rings (calories burned, workout, & standing)..I would get an average of 7,000 steps daily with incomplete rings. Since I started Amazon, my steps jumped to an average of 19,000 steps and I close all 3 of my activity rings every single shift.

Just finished my first 2 weeks! Prime week was a nightmare and I had to MET 2 days 😂 At least my pay check will be nice. You are so right about unexpectedly losing weight; i’ve lost around 5 pounds even though i’ve been eating more than ever to bulk up for those long shifts.
For people wondering would you really lose weight at amazon. Yes I’m a return processor picking up boxes allday moving around allday and I’ve lost a couple over 5 pounds

At the fulfillment center I work at the managers are sooo cool (I pack) they play music during the whole day all type of music, popular music and we can have head phones in and be on our phones and sit when we have down time!! BEST job I’ve ever had even if it is tiring
awesome videos! I am picking up a 36-40 hour job at a warehouse as a second job in the coming week(s). three nights a week Th, Fr, Sat. And your videos are very informative.
After watching your videos I finally decided to quit my job as a CNA and start a new career. Thank you! One thing that I will always remember you said was “don’t work too hard” cos you don’t get incentives for doing it and they might think you good at it so you should just stay in your position.
I just completed my 1st day. I am at a sortation center. My feet are definitely killing me! I am super excited to see where this will go. I am part time seasonal. I hope before long I can get full time and become a regular employee. Thank you for all of your videos. I really wish I had found them sooner!
I started working in Amazon warehouse on 1st of October and I’m in packing department and working in Amazon specially in Germany is way more different than US...
I'm trying to stick it out but am frustrated. I work the pick to buffer line and they decide they're going to speed the line up but not give us a diverter. Then they complain that too many packages got thru. Bunch of crap!!!
I have been working for 2 weeks as "Santa Helper" (assistant supervisor). My legs and especially my feet hurt a lot from standing 9 hours in safety boots.
I’m from Miami, and i’ve been trying to apply to work at an amazon warehouse but it’s so complicated, there’s a huge amount of people trying to get the job too, plus me having no experience cause this would be literally my first job
Thank you so much for answering my questions, ☺️ yes I agree on the reasons and also the vendor machines have the products at very low cost, lower than Walmart 😱
the vending machines are at every amazon locations. most Items are the same but some are different depending on what location you work at. (fulfillment center, sort center, delivery station, fresh, prime now and Whole Foods)
I work at Fresh and our vending machines have box cutters, gloves, and full cold weather face mask. There's no limit on them, we just type in a code and go.
Been at Amazon for a month...I’m a stower as well. I watched your videos before starting my first day and it truly helped relieve some nerves. Thank you! So far it’s been good but I thought since peak season is coming around there would be OT. I was told by my manager there would be none in this facility (new facility in CA) since it’s at it’s full capacity. 🤷🏽♀️
I have a galaxy watch active 2 and it tracks my steps. I pack and usually in a day, I'm around 12 to 15 thousand steps in a 10 hour shift which is a lot seeing as when you pack, the only time you actually walk somewhere is to get supplies for your station or going on break. But some days, if I'm water spidering or working on the slam line, I get up to 35000 steps in a shift. I run a lot on my off time, so to put it in perspective, today I ran 20 miles, which put me at around 35000 steps (including all the walking you do just around the house). So yeah, more than likely, you'll get your daily 10000 steps that is recommended. I highly advise, you take advantage of the 110 credit they give you to get some decent shoes. They have a limited selection, but I'm certain they have something comfortable for everyone.
About the vending machines we have a lot of vending machines . One machine has gloves, box cutters and vests. Another machine had bandaids, Advil,Tylenol, eye drops, and q tips,. Our last machine has shoe inserts. We don’t use our badges on these machines, we can get what we want, as much and whenever
I work at an Amazon sortation center and yes we have the vending machines but ours don't include caffeine or electrolytes but they do have gloves, harnesses and medications.
Current economic situation is the main reason to work a job like Amazon. It will give you stable income and insurance. If you are smart/educated, hardworking, resourceful, etc. you should probably aim higher for yourself. But as we all know, finding a job opportunity you're that 100% happy with will be easier said than done for a while. If you do sign on, be ready to work. It's not particularly hard work, but it's extremely boring, mentally tiring and you will be 100% accountable for being productive.
Suscribed! Thanks for putting out these videos. I’m kind of considering this as a potential way to bridge a career change from civil engineering to software development. Seems like right now working similar hours I can get payed the same anyway...
I work at a delivery station in the UK and we do get PPE but that's not in a vending machines it's at a separate station (a mobile metal shelf) but the gloves and similar things are kept in 1 vending machine but those are reusable washable gloves etc. Don't really need loads of vending machines. It's a nice touch to have water stations as well so we can keep hydrated. And Amazon management will tell you to drink water if you start to sweat which I do often. This channel was one of the main reasons I joined Amazon
@@NFZProductions I was lucky I watched your videos on preparing to work for Amazon like get insoles for shoes, the points system and more and that has made the experience much better as they never tell you so it was great help. You should do a video on the tasks you do and what they are in detail so it gives people are better understanding on what things they could be doing at work
I'm about to start at amazon on Sunday, so I've been watching your videos. Just wondering if you know if they have a place to hang coats since they don't fit in the tiny lockers? I'm in Wisconsin, so coats are a must lol..not to mention we have another 5-8 inches of snow coming the day I start
Here in jacksonville florida. I work at the delivery station. Most people here swing positions and do everything. Which is nice so that its equal for everyone. The social distancing people yelling get a bit annoying when we start picking so i learned to just take my time and get in where i fit in so we dont get write ups
Wow I guess my FC is more chill. They don’t actually yell when you’re not social distancing, but they kindly tell you to spread out if you’re too close.
Well i shouldnt say "yelling" but there is one guy who just takes it too far. These people were training and in a group so its hard to hear in there. Guy goes "6 feet!" The people spread out then guy goes "make it 7 just in case" like come on man.
I just started working at Amazon in Raleigh Nc i just just finished my first week i work in inbound 3 shift it’s not that bad just long hours and a lot of standing my job is to open the boxes and put them in yellow containers and just do that for 10 hours my mangers are really chill they let us listen to music but it’s only my first week but i would say apply to amazon if you can handle the physical labor
People hate on Amazon but I love it I lowkey feel bad I have another job 2-10 and my Amazon schedule 1:20am to 12 which is way too long that’s my only con because that’s too long for that early in the AM so I been racking up my points but they’re way more professional than other warehouse jobs
What does the area manager do? Is that the ppl that have the operations vest on? And how much do they get paid compared to the regular lvl 1 associate?
Those are usually L3 positions not managers and. And I have a video with a fellow Amazon employee who's an L3 and he talks about manager pay. So perhaps check that if you have time
@@popmer2456 yeah but he's not an area manager., yet But the reason he is an L3 and I am an L1 and I make more is because Fulfillment centers pay more naturally. And I have one of the worst shift schedules (12 hrs long, overnight, one day on the weekend). So this stuff adds up to me making like $1.50 more per hr
I had a question. So as you know each section has a rate you have to end the day with. Do you possibly know what a return processor worker rate has to be by the end of their shift ?
I started 2 weeks ago; starting my third week now, and it’s a great job (super easy)! Just got an email already about being from seasonal to a regular worker! At my delivery station, all ambassadors are super nice and aren’t that strict. My second half of my shift is probably the best part because of after pick and staging; getting a “mini break” before the actual last 20 min break 😂 and yes, I’ve lost 5 pounds in the span of 2 weeks I’ve been working at my station.
I'm about to take my online orientation tonight. I start on Sunday! Pretty excited to start working again. I know they're pretty lenient on what we wear but what kind of pants do u wear? I doubt I should wear my skinny jeans and am I good to wear my cap?
What if you don't have a "nice" manager that will help you move into other positions.... Can I just apply for an internal transfer and they'll just know I need to training???? For example, go from picker to single packing???? Without my managers help.....
I just finished my first month. It’s really not as bad as everyone says. I like it so far. Time goes by really fast! We’ll be entering peak season soon, so we’ll see how it goes 💆🏽♀️
@@NFZProductions it takes me about an hour to get to my job and about 1.5 to 2 hours to get home because of traffic on peak which hasn't come yet but I do have met this coming week I'm gonna have to go to bed nearly as soon as I get home I live FAR from my job just finished my first week.
my friend's a PA now and with the vending machine he showed me a trick. he just get's all of his managers badge codes and has done this for his whole time at amazon. So he always has an unlimited amount of usage on the fastnel vending machines. I never seen caffeine pills or electrolytes in the fastnel machines though.
@@NFZProductions I dunno how people get away with getting new gloves every day. I take a pair maybe every 2 weeks and thankfully they have earplugs freely available outside of them. I'm gonna have to talk to my manager or HR about the caffeine stuff for peak I really don't need a lot and even at cost it's like 1.25-ish for cans of redbull in bulk.
Having friends and family working at Amazon it seems like you definitely want to work for contracting supporting services. They are paid way better and have a lot of more leeway instead of the pressures of being looked over for production and quantities being shipped. So being a building supporting or some kind of service tech my guys are making 30 plus dollars an hour and they have a lot of downtime and standing time Amazon doesn't know how much they're actually losing outsourcing instead of having it internally controlled.
Started at amazon stow a month ago, I'm struggling to hit our takt time of 16, or get close. Even when I stow as fast as possible, between not having right size bins and not having room most of the time when I get a ton of big items. They tell us not to stack or block items, people do it anyway but If you have any tips it would be extremely appreciated. Right now I stow bottom to top, and have my station organized by item size, smallest items being closest.
Smallest items closest is fine.. Also sometimes, you just got to bend the ROBOTS code of conduct and just put the item onto the shelf and forget it if you are really worried about your rate.. Because at the end of the day, you want to keep your job. And a low rate would effect that. But also, you just need to not be the bottom 5% in your stowing group
NFZ Productions thanks for the tips, I’m just gonna ignore the ROBOT code of conduct and stow whatever I can for better a takt time. It’s my second week as a stower.
These are so helpful! Thank you! What does Amazon let you wear to work? Can you just wear t-shirt and jeans? Is it ok if my t-shirt has like Star Wars or Deadpool on it?
The work is easy in my opinion as long you bend your legs, eat before your shift and wear comfortable clothes i dont know if im lucky but our fc is quality still cant work out how some people are picking 600+ uph during competitions though
I arrived in Texas on the 30th of last month. On the 2nd I applied online, had my interview on the 5th and I start my first day on the 24th....ALL thanks to this dude and his vids!! BTW I had smoked weed less than a week before I did my drug test.. and I passed 😀
Thanks, all your information is very useful and straight to the point no bulls. I would like to know how do you manage your bathroom time. How often do you go pee per shift and how many mins are you away from work while going to the bathroom? I also would like to know about your gears. Are you wearing any special shoes while working or some type of body support wraps like knee pads, back support belt etc..?
I worked at a retail job before Amazon and didn't realize just how badly out of shape I was until I started working at Amazon I would say My overall well-being had increased. I'm not going to say that there wasn't days where I was sore there was. Just go to one of the Asian massage parlors in spend at least $30 on a good massage

oh man.. I heard the docks are harder!
It’s just brain dead work for 10 hours,
Working the line and water spidering
Don’t drink before prime week😂
Ship dock is tiring a little bit but when its busy my time goes by fast. So I don't mind it.
I love the docks! Just have me on the slides all day and manual and i'm good
He’s right about the walking. It’s no joke! I worked at a private preschool previously and my steps on my Apple Watch activity rings (calories burned, workout, & standing)..I would get an average of 7,000 steps daily with incomplete rings. Since I started Amazon, my steps jumped to an average of 19,000 steps and I close all 3 of my activity rings every single shift.
for sure the walking is a lot! And that means calories will add up and up!
I Subscribed To Your Utube Channel Because I Work At Amazon Facility. Also I wouldn't have Subscribed if your conversations weren't so clear clean concise accurate.
I Admire your dedication & your help, it means a lot.

Thank you so much!! I'm happy it was useful!
Yep the job sneaky and will make you lose some weight when you dont want to
For people wondering would you really lose weight at amazon. Yes I’m a return processor picking up boxes allday moving around allday and I’ve lost a couple over 5 pounds
It makes sense to lose weight too. Because moving you body around for 10-12 hrs has to = burning calories which = lose weight overtime
I've toned up and lost 20 lbs...
I really like your vids and I get pumped when a new one comes out. I bought some of the shoes you recommended and they are killer!!!
Thanks man!! Happy you enjoy them! And that's good, they should help out a lot
Thanks for the 📹! I started working at amazon yesterday, its far one of the fun jobs I've worked for dust far.

Just finished my new hire documents. Gotta wait a couple more days to receive my new hire orientation email. Im so anxious to start lol but I hope I like this job. Reading these comments have uplifted me a lot more with other people's positive experience at work.

That's good! These vending machines are so good!
At the fulfillment center I work at the managers are sooo cool (I pack) they play music during the whole day all type of music, popular music and we can have head phones in and be on our phones and sit when we have down time!! BEST job I’ve ever had even if it is tiring

I started working in Amazon warehouse on 1st of October and I’m in packing department and working in Amazon specially in Germany is way more different than US...
it is?? that's cool to know
I actually like working at amazon. I started about 3 months ago and after 1 month and a half I got converted to blue badge :)
yay that's greats news!! congrats to you!
How do they convert you from seasonal to full-time?? I start on the 19th
I'm trying to stick it out but am frustrated. I work the pick to buffer line and they decide they're going to speed the line up but not give us a diverter. Then they complain that too many packages got thru. Bunch of crap!!!
damn how unreasonable. But not surprised from Amazon
I started 3 weeks ago and iv'e only worked for like 8 days. It's just so hard not to take VTO every time they offer it lol
I’m working as a stower as well, for me it’s on average 5 miles per day right now.
Ah i see.. this makes sense
I have been working for 2 weeks as "Santa Helper" (assistant supervisor). My legs and especially my feet hurt a lot from standing 9 hours in safety boots.
wow that sounds tough indeed!
I’m from Miami, and i’ve been trying to apply to work at an amazon warehouse but it’s so complicated, there’s a huge amount of people trying to get the job too, plus me having no experience cause this would be literally my first job
you dont need experience for this job which is the best part! just try to find when there are spots available and apply!
in the uk we only get 1 gloves per week. 1 vest per month. 1 knife per week. nothing else available
oh wow that's interesting
Thank you so much for answering my questions, ☺️ yes I agree on the reasons and also the vendor machines have the products at very low cost, lower than Walmart 😱
Oh thats good! And you are welcome!
the vending machines are at every amazon locations.
most Items are the same but some are different depending on what location you work at. (fulfillment center, sort center, delivery station, fresh, prime now and Whole Foods)
interesting, thank you!
I work at Fresh and our vending machines have box cutters, gloves, and full cold weather face mask. There's no limit on them, we just type in a code and go.
no limit? that's good. And I dont have those face masks you refer to. Probably since your building is naturally really cold
The job is so tiring omgg

@@reina_jar6534 ok, there’s one near my house in riverside, there’s a bunch of warehouses near me
I have a galaxy watch active 2 and it tracks my steps.
They have a limited selection, but I'm certain they have something comfortable for everyone.
wow that's a lot of steps!! I knew this job has a lot of walking but damn!
At the sort center we have the vending machines 👏 awesome video man

It's not particularly hard work, but it's extremely boring, mentally tiring and you will be 100% accountable for being productive.
exactly man! I think now more than ever this Amazon job is being looked into
Can you make a video for stower who make and arrange the good s in areas of warehouse how to stow fast and accurate
Suscribed! Thanks for putting out these videos. I’m kind of considering this as a potential way to bridge a career change from civil engineering to software development. Seems like right now working similar hours I can get payed the same anyway...
you are welcome! and yes I think it would be a good change up!
Oh that's good to hear! I am very happy that I was able to motivate you to join! and thanks for sharing how things are a bit different in the UK.
I'm in Wisconsin, so coats are a must lol..not to mention we have another 5-8 inches of snow coming the day I start
you can probably find a place to hang near your station. theres a lot of space
Here in jacksonville florida. I work at the delivery station. Most people here swing positions and do everything. Which is nice so that its equal for everyone. The social distancing people yelling get a bit annoying when we start picking so i learned to just take my time and get in where i fit in so we dont get write ups
yeah I hate that people yell the 6 ft thing. Idk how that is a job inside the building, just to say that
Wow I guess my FC is more chill.
Been working at amazon 5 days and each day I've walked over 26,000 steps a day.
wow that's crazy ! So many steps per day!!
I just started working at Amazon in Raleigh Nc i just just finished my first week i work in inbound 3 shift it’s not that bad just long hours and a lot of standing my job is to open the boxes and put them in yellow containers and just do that for 10 hours my mangers are really chill they let us listen to music but it’s only my first week but i would say apply to amazon if you can handle the physical labor
that's lucky your manager is really chill. And yes apply if only able to do the labor
People hate on Amazon but I love it I lowkey feel bad I have another job 2-10 and my Amazon schedule 1:20am to 12 which is way too long that’s my only con because that’s too long for that early in the AM so I been racking up my points but they’re way more professional than other warehouse jobs
wow that's crazy.. you work so much!!
What does the area manager do? Is that the ppl that have the operations vest on? And how much do they get paid compared to the regular lvl 1 associate?
Those are usually L3 positions not managers and. And I have a video with a fellow Amazon employee who's an L3 and he talks about manager pay. So perhaps check that if you have time
@@NFZProductions I watched the video already. He said he makes less money than you 😂 makes no sense

No i do not :/
I started 2 weeks ago; starting my third week now, and it’s a great job (super easy)!

I doubt I should wear my skinny jeans and am I good to wear my cap?
yeah I wear a cap so you good. And I usually wear some athletic shorts, sometimes long pants every once and a while
i call to the support team they told me that select your shift but there's is no shift showing me from the last 3 weeks?
Maybe cancel your application and make a new one? if nothing else seems to work
What if you don't have a "nice" manager that will help you move into other positions.... Can I just apply for an internal transfer and they'll just know I need to training???? For example, go from picker to single packing???? Without my managers help.....
u dont need to apply. Only way to be difffetent is to ask manager, maybe say plz too

my friend's a PA now and with the vending machine he showed me a trick. he just get's all of his managers badge codes and has done this for his whole time at amazon. So he always has an unlimited amount of usage on the fastnel vending machines. I never seen caffeine pills or electrolytes in the fastnel machines though.
dang that is really smart. Sometime when i work OT they dont register that into the machine, so i need a manager to put in the code to get me gloves
Is it ok if my t-shirt has like Star Wars or Deadpool on it?
you can wear anything pretty much!
