I really love the fact u made such a nice move to turn the cam on and then such a nice gesture to share this vid... u must really enjoy this car! Kind regards from Greece
What great sound! Nice riding by the biker great driving by the car driver! Smooth and fast all the way! No silly manuevers all good stuff, an example of how to ride and how to drive! 10/10
What a great video! I miss the roads in NZ, there are deffinately none like them here in Denmark, i miss the rimutakas especially near Wellington, top bike road that one.
Nice car, bit tricky if the biker fell, but he was being careful mostly staying on the left side of road! I remember you saying your car was better than any 40 year old technology, well I have an all alloy Nascar engined cobra with Jerico five speed in a Reynard chassis, in the process of build, but would like to see you at the Scope classic in the future, to see how old technology works! Very good clip, you have done well!
Would be good to see more of ur motor mate, it sounds like it was forged by demons in the dark fiery depths of hell! Awesome. Some 1 said u were brave for driving on those roads... raofl... The very reason the Cobra was such a dominating a race car, was not only its power to wieght ratio but its ability to handle corners. I couldn't imagine wanting to drive a Cobra anywhere else. Great vid, specially the wave and the pip at the end, respect from both sides. Loved it and i'm jealous.
Done it on my Ducati 996 and my Superformance AC Cobra MKIII and they are both fun , in the tight stuff I give the car the advantage but long stretches the bike gets the edge ! Power to weight vs power and traction to the road surface , imagine a formula I car that has both !
Really nice video, what a great sound from the car too! I'd like to see something similar where the biker is decent, he'd be taking those corners a fair bit quicker with some better technique - I don't think the AC was topping out either - a nicely balanced challange
great video in a great country,Im staunchly proud to be a kiwi, yea its an expensive country but too bad. You've had some good comments and unfortunately, the know it alls have an opinion also. Thanks for posting this vid
@freeclimb64 in New Zealand theres usually not much time between speeding up and slowing down, as you can see and hear... we have alot of very difficult and windy roads. also at 1:19 you can hear that he did change up but then had to change down again almost straight away. This road is a simple one relatively speaking - no ultra narrow gorge road with 10k limited corners. if it was closed off he could have had some real fun - maybe even hit peak revs....
Congratulations on a great vid. Great bike, great car, credit to all involved. Anyone who slates this really really doesn't ride, drive or understand. It's a shame because if you got involved as much as you slate things you'd be good.
@Itsmyopinionpal Seems like the bike is only quicker on the straight stretches - but then when you think how little rubber is keeping you in contact with the ground compared to those fat wheels on the Cobra...
great video. that cobra makes an awesome noise! both must know the road very well? as soon as the road opens up, The RSV mille dissappears. fellow rsv rider.
Imagine clsoing that whole road off to the public and going full out on every corner, drifting, sliding, downshifting, powerbraking and just plain getting your jollies off! Better than sex!
hell that road looks very much like the climb from devauchelles to the hill top pub!!! and im sure that cobra goes down the motorway to woodend regularly, could be wrong haha
Yeah I know what you mean! I wasn't actually aiming all my comments at you. I have tried to cover everyones comments, just did it on your post. Everyone wants more power but at least this car is controlable on the road especially since it only weighs 980kgs!! These cars have a tendency to step the back end out being a short wheel base and all. But more horsepower is never really a bad thing aye?
sweet car sweet bike nice vid! i have a 03 rsv1000 Millie in the garage and would kill to have the ac cobra next to it! how bout a vid showing the rest of the car ehh! ohh an nice to see a vid that wasn't ruined by some lame ass music covering up that sexy exhaust note!
Now it makes sense. In that case the AC is one of the baddest ass cars ever. 060 in 3.2 in a 2009 chassis is exhilarating enough, but in a 50 year old chassis? That's gotta be some monster adrenaline rush. I thought my GSXR was exciting but this... What would the 0100 time on the AC be? I think the RSV should do it in 6-6.5 or the 1/4 if you know it, again the RSV should be around 10.5s.
All im trying to say is that if he gives his car too much gas during a turn his car may start to powerslide. Anyways, I respect how he coasts through the turns, its safer then going balls out on a public road.
hey i know the road well, and it seems hes going slow but hes making good time up there, difficult road to go fast alot of traffic, tourists twisting tight turns sounds how a car should, ive raced my ducati along here great road
Why is the CD player on the opposite side of the car??? o wait you don't need a CD player, the engine is your music and the pedal is your volume control
Wish that guy could ride a bit better, make things more interesting.. nice car and nice roads. I need to head down south some time and see what all the fuss is about :)
I never said it was slow. Believe me, I know it isn't. All I meant was that relative to other AC Cobras, this one does not have much power. Could you imagine how this thing would be if it had more power?!
Bikes don't corner fast. Very little contact patch avail. The bikes advantage is acceleration only, compared to a car (power to weight).....straight line braking may go to the bike also, but how often is a bike upright and braking. A lightweight and high-powered car, with a descent driver should rule the twisties..... Gotta choose your battles wisely and know your vehicles limitations.
no hardly ever get it, must be the area, or they see me and think "PHROAR, best not be messing with him!" did have a ferarri 2day tho, i just pulled in and let him go tho :P
The biker could really ride but also had great presence of mind anticipating other cars etc.....
Beautiful! Looks like California, only they're on the wrong side of the road. That Aprilia was just out for a stroll.
I really love the fact u made such a nice move to turn the cam on and then such a nice gesture to share this vid... u must really enjoy this car! Kind regards from Greece
ah what a lovely video! great car, great camera angle, and a great fuckin road...this is life right here
What great sound!
Nice riding by the biker great driving by the car driver! Smooth and fast all the way! No silly manuevers all good stuff, an example of how to ride and how to drive!
10/10
I saw this Cobra yesterday driving behind us.Very nice!
It sounds so TUFF!!
I listen to this clip all the time just for the sound of that great V8.
If it was not so dangerous I would go buy one now!
An aprilia and an AC Cobra, you certain this is not a road in heaven, looks and sounds like it to me, what a great sound, what a stunning oad.
Thanks for posting this was an awesome ride!
Music to my ears.
love this video, the twisties are awesome. way too much fun
you're a brave man driving a cobra on those kinda roads. nice lil video.
that cobra sounds great, really meaty low end.
Very nice vid, nice riding AND Driving!
Not often that a Sportcar and a Bike have this much fun together. Like it!
Great video. Nice peformances by both.
Quaint roads . I liked this video. Love the sound of the Motor . Id love to take my Corvette around those mountainsides.
What a great video! I miss the roads in NZ, there are deffinately none like them here in Denmark, i miss the rimutakas especially near Wellington, top bike road that one.
Great Sound ! This Cobra is a monster...thank you for sharing.

Hey that's cool! Keep us posted with vids. Would like to see your beast running! I am building one too. Can't wait till she's done!!!
that's one hell of a car, nice driving too bikes are bloody hard to keep up with:)
i miss NZ roads...pottering around london isn't quite the same... AC Cobra - dream car and here it is on dream roads!! Stiffy time.
Nice video, maybe for the next one you can maybe use more gears like two? Naa, very nice and gets me longing for the summer!
Done it on my Ducati 996 and my Superformance AC Cobra MKIII and they are both fun , in the tight stuff I give the car the advantage but long stretches the bike gets the edge ! Power to weight vs power and traction to the road surface , imagine a formula I car that has both !
My fav clip on youtube. Great filming + editing. Don't add music.
nice ride, nice scenery and awesome sound
Really nice video, what a great sound from the car too! I'd like to see something similar where the biker is decent, he'd be taking those corners a fair bit quicker with some better technique - I don't think the AC was topping out either - a nicely balanced challange
How about some more vids of this awesome car???
great video in a great country,Im staunchly proud to be a kiwi, yea its an expensive country but too bad. You've had some good comments and unfortunately, the know it alls have an opinion also. Thanks for posting this vid
Fast but still respectful driving. Pushing it but not being stupid or over the top. Thanks
Don't forget the Cobra was on the other side of the road cutting corners alot there, still impressive though.
Not as impressive as that dash--lot's of info on there lol...
love the sound of the 351 v8 getting a good work out
love the fact you only changed gear about once! awesome torquey engine
Looks like the road up to the Hilltop, Canterbury, NZ. Nice.
sweet video man i love the sound of that car
I've just found out my dads getting one with 420hp, After watching this vid i can't wait!!!
@whittyminicrazy but you cannot know the condition of the road surface and grip may be compromised.
Awesome video!!

Please post a video of your engine and the exterior of your car. A few minutes long video would be great.
Akaroa to christchurch. this section is the uphill section to the hill top pub
Jono welsh Looks very similar to stretches between Lobethal and Inglewood in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia
Man that looks like fun, nice car!
Captivating! Would like a ride in a Cobra one day.
Looks like it goes quick in a straight line :)
A Buell XBR with micron zorst V Cobra would make a great sound combination & probably more suitable on that twisty road?
Who missed a biker at 2:02? I even missed a car at 2:07 :) Great movie!
Wow, thanks for sharing!!
Where was that video taken? looks like the lake district? lovely roads
@Itsmyopinionpal
Seems like the bike is only quicker on the straight stretches - but then when you think how little rubber is keeping you in contact with the ground compared to those fat wheels on the Cobra...
despite the relative lack of horsepower, that is an awesome ac cobra and it sounds great.
great video. that cobra makes an awesome noise! both must know the road very well? as soon as the road opens up, The RSV mille dissappears. fellow rsv rider.
I do miss our NZ roads! I've got a Alfa and live in central London. Takes over an hour just to get out of the city :-(
Dream car = AC Cobra. MMMMm
Nice car, looks like the roads out of Queenstown, Arrowtown area...
Imagine clsoing that whole road off to the public and going full out on every corner, drifting, sliding, downshifting, powerbraking and just plain getting your jollies off! Better than sex!
wow where in NZ is this these roads are awesome!
Your going to collect an oncoming motorcyclist as a hood ornament if you keep crossing the centre line like that.
that's called torque - bet that cobra has buckets of it.
I'm from Norway and it looks so wierd driving fast at the opposite side of the road as we do.....
Sweet vid i always wanted a Cobra already have the bike
hell that road looks very much like the climb from devauchelles to the hill top pub!!! and im sure that cobra goes down the motorway to woodend regularly, could be wrong haha

Looks like a beautiful car, why no outside images??
sweet car sweet bike nice vid! i have a 03 rsv1000 Millie in the garage and would kill to have the ac cobra next to it! how bout a vid showing the rest of the car ehh! ohh an nice to see a vid that wasn't ruined by some lame ass music covering up that sexy exhaust note!
looks like a space ship with all those gauges
Cool video, you weren't being an ass to the Aprilia rider. Fun, but not crazy - why can't more people do that? Right hand drive, what a trip!
Nice video!!!!!!!!
where you from mate? and also what you ride? i don't get much either, and what i do they get arsey when they lose:0)

That millie be gone really, traffic ahead be his only downfall lmao, nice cobra🐍
@WarlockNZ nowonder its so damn nice!!!.. lucky shit.. in new zealand with a cobra!!!

Wish that guy could ride a bit better, make things more interesting.. nice car and nice roads. I need to head down south some time and see what all the fuss is about :)
Wow he was just tickling it lol
Awesome!
Well said!! There are a lot of know-it-alls out there! I am sure these blokes are just havin fun not racing.
yea agree totally, maybe he didint know the road to well though to be fair, very upright riding style....
I never said it was slow. Believe me, I know it isn't. All I meant was that relative to other AC Cobras, this one does not have much power. Could you imagine how this thing would be if it had more power?!
what a road!! nice!
Whats with all the boy racer gauges?
What's powering the Cobra???
If he would have downshifted on a couple of the slower turns he would've had a new hood ornament.lol
shauncarlpope33, looks more like NZ as in NewZealand. Nice driving, agree, fast driving, but in a safe manner...
Bikes don't corner fast. Very little contact patch avail. On the straights I agree. Corning is another matter.
The right side as its the side the British drive on!
Can anyone find the clock on that dash?!
no hardly ever get it, must be the area, or they see me and think "PHROAR, best not be messing with him!" did have a ferarri 2day tho, i just pulled in and let him go tho :P
The guy driving his Bicycle must have pooped when they went by him...
Great bike with great victories, that's Aprilia,Cobra have no chance against the bike,Aprilia rocks
Just for the record ... i'm not driving the car ,,, LOL
