Dionne, the lilting and pure quality of your voice has given pleasure to so many. Thank you for being accessible. I have loved you from age seven, or 1965. ❤

Great interview!! Ms. Dionne has so much wit about her, lol. The industry sure cheated her a bit with her recording success, smdh. What a tenacious talented amazing vocal icon❤❤❤. Love you Ms. Dionne! You are the greatest ❤️

This interview makes a strong case for entry into Rack and Roll Hall of Fame.
The incredible influence on so many whom she will never know

@singingmanmd True. But in most of her 80's interviews she is smoking, that sadly harmed her voice more than benefited. She still could have a great voice at 80 plus, like Gladys Knight for instance...but I still love her though...

What’s funny is you see where Whitney got her class and mannerisms from. Both Cissy and Dionne.
What’s also funny is both Dionne and Whitney Smoke. Whitney among other things. But Whitney never ever did interviews and allowed herself to be seen smoking.
We saw this on Being Bobby but other than that she was always careful to not be seen.
Dionne has many of time been seen smoking and I was shocked when I saw her smoking with a voice like that. Unfortunately, her and Cissy were bad influence on Whitney to smoke.

@I-AM-BELIEVER: Absolutely! I already said pretty much the same! Most of Dionne's 80's footage aside the vídeos and award shows portray her smoking. The bill came years after in her case. At 80 plus, she still could have a great voice, like Gladys Knight. Smoking sadly harmed her voice like in many other singers' cases. But sadly at this point (mid 80's) it was still a sign of class, specially among black american women, to be seen smoking. Nevertheless, I'm glad Dionne doesn't seem hurtful anymore of her "failed" Warner Brothers years. She had everything to have had monster hits then, as she never ever looked and sounded so great. Even afterwards.

Dionne looks like she didn't like Aretha Franklin re doing her song.
