I suggest trying a thin self threading needle, works much easier to get the excess to the other side.

can you use this tool on any fabric?

I'm pretty sure it can be used with most fabrics. I would not try it on leather or faux leather.

Hi, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing someone have this same issue some months back. Check the Facebook group. Use the search bar at the top of the group. I think I remember someone saying it was the settings for their editing software.
