Sunday was a repeat of the 2022 GF - their opponents did everything right, the Swans had peaked early and just ran out of steam and the wheels completely fell off. The only saving grace is that they have a few weeks and a bit of ladder wriggle room to sort themselves out. Now is the time for JL to prove how good a coach he is.
@@reecemccullough4829who do you propose they drop? They dropped Goldstein, Heppell, Wright, Shiel spent half the season in the reserves. A couple of weeks ago they were playing for 2nd, the majority of the list had performed solid this season. They had solid year, you need to give them a couple of weeks to return it, also, most of their losses, that didn’t have horrible games until the Saints one
The tide of injuries has caught up with the swans. In the past 4 weeks, they’ve lost Rowbottom, McInerney, Rampe, Papley and Melican. Cunningham has missed a couple of games through injury, Heeney one through suspension, and Mills wasn't ready to play a full game and needed to be rested afterwards. The question over whether they can reverse the form slump is pretty much down to who can come back into the side and make an impact before the end of the season.
You nailed it Capt. With an injury list as long as your arm, it will take a massive club effort to win 2 out of the next 4 games A 2pt loss to the Lions , partially caused by some imbecilic turnovers early in the game. Then a face-down flatbed truck delivery to the RSU at RSHosp.from the Western Bulldogs . A cream puff performance in a game, where the opposition is chasing a spot in the 8 , (as were the Lions aiming for a top 2 possie) The swans only luxury, a 6 pt buffer, is whittling away rapidly. With an under-performing forward line, a punctured backline and a mid-field that can go missing in a tough tight contest, be very surprized if they get over Port. Then they can look forward to the Magpies & the Bombers, last but not least the Cwows ! Get rid of the cream puffs in the side, and put some anzac biscuits on the table.
Thought McNeil, Bramble and Duryea were great on the weekend. As a Dons fan it was pretty tough watching the Dogs destroy Sydney... they're clearly a class above atm.
We've typically been really exposed by how poor our bottom six has been, but the players you mentioned (and vandermeer) have really increased their output and definitely their work rate. The fact we've been able to get these last three wins without it being entirely off The Bont's back has been extremely pleasing to see
Great call king Brad Scott said at start of 24 the players will be found out if they learnt buying 100 in and that's exactly what's happened so it's time to move them on so Scotty doesn't have to go through it again next year
The gap between the best and worst players in the WB line-up was reduced, with weak players like Sanders, Gallagher, Freijiah and O'Donnell happily ommitted. Replace Vandermeer, O'Neill and Coffield with AFL standard talent and the doggies will win the flag.
The SA Media constantly praises Walker for being everything he is not, and that is tough and committed to a hard pack contest that defines a key position leader. Walker constantly shirks the hard contest, and this example has influenced fogarty and Thilthorpe, who are showing the big man yellow DNA that has always hindered the club.
Can everyone relax about the 5 day break for Carlton. Port had 1 extra day . Was everyone talking about the short break when the blues were up by 31 ? Get off it
Why does Weitering not take the best key forward then? He played on Dixon who could barely move. Esava and Georgeades looked the most dangerous forwards, yet Weitering didn't go near them.
I think it’s September 3rd, I could be out a day or two. I want you to pause on this day and remember the days when Essendon were a relevant thing. I want you to realise that Scott was the only bloke they could get to coach this delusional rabble. I want you on this day to stop, reflect and enjoy 20 years of Essendon failure.
what is kings problem with sydney and carlton? are they not both in top 4? what about having a go at the bottom 8? Always Negative , Loves talking about teams that lose 1 or 2 games. Never the winners and what they did good. Stick to gambling your salary away.

Kingy is right about Essendon not dropping players. Bevo has no hesitation Daniel Mcrae Lobb
True, dropping Macrae seemed unbelievable - even playing his as a sub, but the team bought in. Good comment

I can't believe how much JUH has improved over the last month. He has become a weapon.
From the top 4 seedings, Hawthorn have beaten Bulldogs, Freo and Lions. Pretty impressive
Great episode. Thanks

Also Hayward played on the weekend but probably was still sore from his ankle issue the previous game, so who knows if he needs a week off as well
Similar to Carlton. They have a lengthy injury list too :(

Still haven’t forgotten Kings disrespecting Fagan early in the year saying they should get rid of him and go after Chris Scott
You can tell it hurts David King to talk about Hawthorn haha
He remembers kicking the ball to Carey and sinking Pooh and Wee in extra time in the drawn final. King is a simple and transparent hater.

I liked the Bombers more when Stephen Dank was running the show.
Doesn’t McGovern play the 2nd seed defender ?
I sat there on the weekend watching the swans premiership hopes fade away. 😢
Fade away? Hardly. It's just they were miles ahead and have been chased down by the pack. They're still on top of the ladder mate.
Just like 2016 and 2022, around this time 😂@@JGFormentin
Essendon and Carlton in serious freefall!
Absolute L take from King on Weitering. If Weitering doesnt play as a lockdown key defender, then who does? Kemp and gov are undersized

Why isnt sydney playing Joel Hamling?

He never seems to ever take the best forward.
I'm a WB fan and would love to have Weitering in the team. He is capable of eclipsing any forward.
Why do most commentaters still think Carlton can win the flag , let it go boys , Carlton are cooked , they were never any good
King just repeats everything on every show he’s on
So you expect his opinion to change depending on what show he’s on ? 😂 stfu
Well what do you expect him to do. Make stuff up for every show?
You only have to listen to one show. At what point do you realize I've heard this before? You must have a a lot of time on your hands.
All shows just copy the commentary from all other shows. We hear the same thing over and over again throughout the week.
But we bloody love it 😍
So he's consistent with his opinions...and that's bad?
