I'd honestly say this is the greatest matchup in EVO history. Just the fact that it was so back and forth, so dramatic, so HYPE... this battle right here should be used as an example of what EVO is all about.
I have to agree with you. I know Daigo's parry gets its credit but this is seriously my favorite moment in competitive street fighter history. You can also tell that they both enjoyed it too with how they hug at the end.
James chen's weird obsession with oiled men But still, you could see how hard prrog cracked in the last round doing 3 unsafe moves in a row. His cracking under pressure game has improved a lot in this last year
I love how after all that intense competition, all that pressure, frustration, the 2 guys hug it out at the end anyway, I love this community and the great sense of sportsmanship from everyone.
PR Rog is always such a gracious loser, it's nice to see someone be happy just playing and seeing something new rather than be a bad sport about it. I have a ton of respect for the guy.
It makes his range huge for command throws, allows him to interrupt focus attack with normals (hence, you see a FA, c.lk, throw, essentially an oily parry), greatly increases the range of his back dash, increases damage, increases defense and causes all of his moves to be able to slide forward, giving greater range. In other words, oily Hakan is godly, while dry Hakan is garbage.
6:40 such a poker play! "Oh, you don't like that? Yep, that's who we're playing". Infiltration isn't even second guessing himself, he's just letting PR Balrog wallow in self-doubt before the match. Amazing.
PR Balrog is considered by many to be one of, if not THE, best Boxer in the Street Fighter tournament scene. Infiltration is also one of the best Akuma and Hakan players in the world, recognizing Hakan's true potential and knowing the ins and outs of someone most people, like yourself, wouldn't take a second look at because he's "Trash." It's not that Hakan is bad, he's hard to master. And a master of Hakan just showed us at EVO just how it's done against a master of Boxer.
I don't remember a single one. And it's not even that this match is amazing (it is), the point is that in the history of SF4, there were several dozen amazing matches. In the history of SF5, there was not a single one.
PR Rog is one of my favorite FG pros. The guy sticks to his guns no matter what considering that his main, Balrog, has been hit quite a bit with the nerf bat. Good stuff.
Rog is one of my favorite Marvel players, was exciting to watch his SF4 game here. Kept scaring the crap out of me every time he jumped at Hakan, each attempt was risking getting caught by an Oil Coaster if blocked
'Hakan is a hard counter for Balrog' James Chen said that. One of the commentators. They also say Balrog is doing good by running out the oil time since it's very crucial for Hakan. Listen first, then comment.
I thought this match turned out to be PR's dream match. Even though he lost, he forced Infil to counter pick (eh, not really counter pick, but forced to switch out his best character). Pure magic.
amazing bags in his trick lmfao this fight was hype there were plenty of quotes like that through out the fight good fight though infiltration rules i love his style of playing
I think I know what you're talking about. The "tee" sound? Yeah. Most of the crowd started shouting it in the middle of that Tokido/Infil Akuma mirror.
great match infiltration definelty suprised me with that hakan. infiltration is just an all round type of player he has options for almost any situation he is put in.
Also, since I know everyone is wondering...
James Chen uses the word "Oil" a total of 23 times.
+TheBrianJ And I think a total of 3x "Hakan when oiled up one of, if not THE, strongest characters in the game!"
26
that last bag he pulled out of his trick was amazing
Master ioda's style of narration
(At the very end.)
"He's got these amazing bags in his trick."
I didnt notice he botched it xD
ZobmieRules I think he meant to say "he's got these amazing bags under his dick" because he's always thinking about balls.
@@OscarMaris that's fucking badass
I thought he said "he's got bags full of tricks"...
@@Zizzou786 No. He said he's got bags of oil in his tricky oil nutsack balls.
Character variety is the spice of EVO!!!
What about oil?
I love the handshake and hug at the end, such polite and warm sportsmanship.
And the bowing, in infiltration's case. An asian thing
I dare say.
@@IuriSigma what is the "bow"? i really dont know
@@lutsluts I meant to say "bowing"*, sorry!
@@IuriSigma dont worry, thanks!

Watch cosmonaut variety hours video "why you should play fighting games" :)
Alex Valle vs Bonchan in 2015 was way more hype than this IMO despite not even being a match for top 8.
Take a shot every time they say the word "OIL"... and chug for every "That's the important part!"
he's got the amazing bags in his trick
6:38 is when Infiltration decided the issue was the biased crowd and decided to steal all of PR Balrog's fans.
14:10 "he's got these amazing bags in his trick" This means that his girlfriend smuggles drugs in her body.
2013 Infiltration - Not always the crowd favorite
2015 Infiltration - ALWAYS the crowd favorite :D :D
2019 Infiltration - Definitely not the crowd favorite
@@DecayLegacy crowd is stupid private life of players should not be public

@@mero7731 and now we know it was bs accusation from his ex-wife. Court ruled in infiltration's favor.

"he's got amazing bags in his trick"
Good to know.
I saw this comment JUST as he said that LMAO
James chen's weird obsession with oiled men
But still, you could see how hard prrog cracked in the last round doing 3 unsafe moves in a row. His cracking under pressure game has improved a lot in this last year
Its not weird by now
I love how after all that intense competition, all that pressure, frustration, the 2 guys hug it out at the end anyway, I love this community and the great sense of sportsmanship from everyone.
Seth Killian- 14:08 " He's got these amazing bags in his trick..."
:O
fact: james chen slowly morphs into george bush anytime hakan is picked

This is a classic battle right here. 2 of the finest players around.
one of the best matches in the SF history
best fights i ever seen so far.
I was shaking from watching this...intense as hell.
7 months has passed and im still hype when i watching Hakan vs. matchup
God I miss this game.
Cannot believe this was 9 years ago. I miss this game.
6:40 such a poker play! "Oh, you don't like that? Yep, that's who we're playing".
Infiltration isn't even second guessing himself, he's just letting PR Balrog wallow in self-doubt before the match. Amazing.
That infiltration has so many amazing bags in his trick.
This is probably the most remarkable & epic match I've seen for AE in EVO2013 :)
PR Balrog is considered by many to be one of, if not THE, best Boxer in the Street Fighter tournament scene. Infiltration is also one of the best Akuma and Hakan players in the world, recognizing Hakan's true potential and knowing the ins and outs of someone most people, like yourself, wouldn't take a second look at because he's "Trash." drinking game: take a shot every time james says "oil"
Respect for both players. Man, they are both really good.
That hug in the end is just so heartwarming.
Turkish Power ( HAKAN)

Was there ever anything in all of SF5 that was as entertaining as stories like this?
I don't remember a single one. And it's not even that this match is amazing (it is), the point is that in the history of SF4, there were several dozen amazing matches. In the history of SF5, there was not a single one.
daigo holding up the SF6 reveal with his sick guile skills lmao
Still Legendary
This was one of the hypest matches of the tourney, I think.
most exciting match I've seen - and this year has been NUTZ!
This was a badass fight. Good job to both of them
HYPE AS FUCK!!...I watch this once in a while and it still gets me on the edge of my seat
I think this is going to turn into a huge rivalry!
Gotta love the sportsmanship at the end.
Without a doubt the most exciting match in the whole tournament.
PR Rog is one of my favorite FG pros. The guy sticks to his guns no matter what considering that his main, Balrog, has been hit quite a bit with the nerf bat. Good stuff.
Probably the best 14 minutes of my life
Infiltration un espectáculo.
So respect for Infiltration that he chose Hakan at that moment.
Rog is one of my favorite Marvel players, was exciting to watch his SF4 game here. Kept scaring the crap out of me every time he jumped at Hakan, each attempt was risking getting caught by an Oil Coaster if blocked
Infiltration must be pretty amazing with "Those bags in his trick."
MATCH OF THE YEAR! OH, MY HEART!
James Chen: oil (something) oil, oil up, (something), oil, oil, OIL!
haha
como amo este juego. i love the game
I was watching this live and this shit got me all hyped up it was crazy! lol
There are people like that in any competitive games. Infiltration is one of the few gentlemen that stands out.

EVO classic.
Infiltration the legend.
You can tell both of them are fucking enjoying themselves playing that set.
5:24 Amazing comeback
Wow, it sure sounds that way. Thanks for the info.
Things were just so crazy that the announcers weren't even able to think straight.
What does Hakan use? Water or oil? Im not sure 😮💨
Best sf4 match at this years evo13 .
heart stopping match woof best match of Evo.
