@@TheDetourDuo Nashville’s a different animal than it used to be but it’s well worth a stop. The food scene here has been elevated through the roof in the last 10ish years even if the tourism has gotten out of control.
Ur camerawork is the best on Knoxville I've ever seen. The town looks so cool & happening. Definitely motivates a new local like myself to keep exploring its treasures. Love it here 🧡
I stumbled upon your video as my family and I are moving to the Knoxville area in a few months and are looking forward to it. We have visited 3 times in the past 2 years, most recently last month. Your video and drone footage is beautiful. The intro with the city name text and the flyover the Sunsphere is awesome. The coordinates for locations is a nice touch and the music with the edits/transitions are great.
Thank you! I hope you guys enjoy Knoxville. We didn't spend a lot of time there, but it definitely seems like a nice city to move to. I imagine it changes quite a bit when school is in session.
Yall's drone shots are KILLER! Love your channel! My husband and I are headed up to Knoxville tomorrow on a road trip, this is getting me way too excited.. Thanks for posting!! :)
Thanks for visiting my hometown. Even though I live in the Atlanta area now, I'm just a couple hours away and try to get back to see my mom and my family as much as possible. Just to let you know, Knoxville is hit and miss when it comes to activity. It's really weird. Some days you will feel like you are in this sleepy mid-sized town because there seems like there's nothing going on. And the next couple of days it seems like you are in the middle Nashville or Austin or out at night in Atlanta or New Orleans because there's so many people out and so much going on. It's crazy!!! But definitely catch the city on Saturday night during football season after a big Vols win. Talk about a party! 🍊🍊🍊🍊
Glad you enjoyed the video! We were there right before school started back up so we caught it when everyone was just starting to move back into the dorms. Kind of like that it was still a little peaceful, but you could sense it could get crazy on a college weekend
I was just there yesterday and I really enjoyed Knoxville. I did not want to leave! My boyfriend and I are both foodies and that's all we like to do lol. Thanks for the video, I will have to check this one out😊
So the bridge you are talking about is probably the rock bridge. You have to go up a hiking trail to get there but its not far at all from the parking area. There is an odd tunnel that goes underneath it called the key hole. The bridge is made up of random chunks of marble that has been assembled to make a bridge. Its kind of cool to see. The only thing that goes along the quarry is a trail that goes up and around. Its pretty steep but not long. There is actually a sign where it starts saying that the trail is not for the faint of heart. I wouldnt go that far but if you are not in semi decent shape you will have a hard time with it.
Thanks for this. We figured there was a trail nearby but we were running out of time. Glad you said it was steep too. We're in pretty decent shape but we wouldn't have been prepared to pour sweat 😅
I used to live near Knoxville a few years ago. It's a very cool town with great people. The traffic sucks sometimes, but that's true of any major city.
The quarries are beautiful ❤. Somehow videos like this remind me of Australia. Probably it’s because of natural beauty, food and coffee culture and unfortunately gentrification everywhere. That’s life; can’t have the quirky stuff without the insane prices. Love this video and all the work you did on the visuals and editing 🇦🇺🇺🇸
Yeah that's the challenging part about talking about cities. Sometimes the quirky things are there because they kicked people out to make room to develop and you don't always get that story on a first visit
Wow once again. That quarry is amazing and it was perfect timing to show the suffragette sculpture...this week was Women's Equality day! For all the bike tours we do we run into many exciting murals as you do...we have to put together a video one day.
There are 3 bars all in a row and 1 cover gets you in to all 3. Pres Pub, Scruffy City Hall and Bernadette's. There are 3 storeys in each and rooftops. Usually 2-3 bands are playing simultaneously every night across the venues. These bars are a great way to spend an evening in Knoxville.
This sounds like a great place to visit. I plan to visit sometime this summer. ...just hope I don't need medical assistance and get helped by the police.
I thought about Knoxville.. I thought about many places in the US, but I've spent so much time internationally.. the US makes me sad.. Knoxville seemed nice.. but what is it really, college sports? what else is there
@@TheDetourDuo There is always problems with it.. I can afford to, but living in another country, language barriers, figuring out the visa thing.. it can be tough.. I'm coming back to the states soon and I think Tenn is the only option... or best for states with no income tax.. I thought East Cost of Florida, but super expensive, hurricanes, large insects... do you have to worry about large cockroaches in Tenn?
Knoxville is super underrated to be the third largest city in Tennessee.

Such a fun city. Probably one of our favorites so far!
i’m coming to knoxville soon!
I’m headed there next week! Any fun places to visit or other must-see things that were left out of this video?
I work at the Knoxville airport. Lots of people come here to vacation in the Smokies and her sad when they have to go home.
These are some of the best drone shots I’ve seen of Knoxville! My beautiful hometown even though I’m based out of Nashville now 🥲
Hey, thanks! We haven’t made it out to Nashville yet. Hopefully one day!

I grew up in Knoxville. The Quarry has always been great, lots of wild times there lol
I can imagine that being the spot in the summer
I have lived in knoxville for 20 plus years and you make it look better than it really is lol
Everyone will always have their own opinion. We happened to have a great time in Knoxville
Well it worked because they got 40k + views. The editing in this video could make NYC ghettos looks amazing.

omg, those fried pickles look so good and I'm on keto 🥴 🤤🤤🤤
We are those so fast! Thought about doing keto for a min but I love food that's bad for me too much

That is good timing! You should 100% do that. It would be pretty cool to see murals from your perspective
Knoxville has a good food scene!
It really does
Glad you still had a good time despite the redheads!
HAHAHA those pesky redheads
Name of the bar on 5:06 ? Going to Knoxville next month and would love to visit
It's called Preservation. It's located near the end of Market Square in downtown

This seems to be more of a food/dining video than what to see.
👍🏿
Is there anything to do besides eat
I’m moving to Tennessee in a couple months coming from California and I’m
Kinda worried abt what it’s gonna be like
We only visited for a few days. From our experience, it was fine being close to the university.
At 5:10 , what’s the place called?! Going to Knoxville this weekend! 😁
That was Preservation Pub! Right in Market Square 🙂

Is Knoxville TN a good place to live
Sorry. couldn't tell you. We were only there for 2 days. Our airbnb host raved about how he came to go to college and never left though if that helps
🤤🤤🤤🤤
you know it!
Why do you put the coordinates as in edit and not an actual location . I’m not a full time traveler like you wtf
lmao. The address to the locations literally pop up after the coordinates.
I live in Knoxville I sell dope every day
👍🏿 good luck in your endeavors
