Although this is from 2012, posting in 2019 - Chris - More of your mastery from the best acoustical kitchen in the northern hemisphere. For sure Liam O'Flynn is smiling down on you from pipers' heaven.
It's a source of wonder to me, how an intricate and intense piece of music like this is able to relax and calm at the same time. I can feel the stress of lockdown melt away! 👉 😌
Truely you are an accomplished piper with a great feeling for the beauty of the slow airs. It's great listening to you so many thanks for posting this.
These beautiful airs make me dream away and empty my head from the daily sores we live in, you truly play the pipes well. Thanks for posting.Btw, the room acoustics of the kitchen were you made this recording matches well with the room acoustics I listen in, that way it's if you're playing just in front of me.
Beautiful set of pipes and excellent playing! I'm learning them myself with 2 years..a tricky instrument to learn but as you can see from your level of skill, simply amazing to listen to. I still only have the basic set myself but I'm saving up for the full set like yours. Pity they're so dear to buy though, but one of the best instruments out there!!
Try making them.! Thats the journey. Made a full set back in the 90's right down to growing Spanish cane in my garden to make reeds. Still have a full set as pattern. Still love those who master the art of playing!
Joe Schmo Full set would be about €7,500 from donnica Keegan in kildare. Chris I think is playing a lovely Hyland set which I'm nearly sure costs a fair whack more!
Living In a Bubble Go to the NA piobaire uilleann , 16 Henrietta street Dublin . You can get a list of reputable makers in there, it's a useful place to frequent if your going to give the pipes a bash , and you'll be very welcome there.
This wonderful piping is balm to the soul , in a troubled world . Thank you 💓 & God Bless 💕 xx

Really, who can say music is not given to us by God ? Fantastic playing !!!
It is amazing that anyone could learn to play these pipes at all.

£600 for a practice set
Joe Schmo Full set would be about €7,500 from donnica Keegan in kildare. Chris I think is playing a lovely Hyland set which I'm nearly sure costs a fair whack more!
Joe Schmo and you'd be looking closer to €1000 euro for a decent practice set off most makers.
