First of all, sorry for the terrible mic quality (Logitech G533). And this is my first ever time doing a commentary so...It's kinda awful I know. Anyway, I wanted to share my impressions of the AI in BF2042!
Finally they have a mode for those of us with full time jobs and kids and don’t play 10-12 hours a day making it hard to compete with people who all they do is play this game
Same here although I used to have a couple of buddies who were nice enough to help me out and make sure I survived the mp. This is great, I also love how the bots look like actual generic soldiers with different classes. Makes me think DICE was originally going for the regular classes but EA, as always, decided to fuck things up and pressure them into integrating the Warzone and Apex inspired specialist system

Not people running around with pink guns trying to no scope you or use a rocket launcher on you when you’re only a foot soldier when the rockets are mainly made for stopping vehicles. Even though bots are fake people it still feels more real than real people. I’ve had so much fun with this game after a week of playing and DICE did an amazing job adding the bots
Gotta say one of my favourite parts about battlefield 2042 is being able to level progress while playing bots. That allows me to level up, test out certain builds, learn the maps and develop strategies without feeling like it’s all for nothing. Multiplayer is like SUPER ADVANCED level bots if you’re a low level relatively casual player who doesn’t dedicate hours a day to battlefield. I’m probably going to enjoy bots more than multiplayer now that it contributes to player progression as well as achievements I think. Only thing I wish they’d included was a campaign.

@@GamePlayer22 pretty pissed abourlt that. Cant unlock stuff anymore even though i was happily playing solo without exploits. Also its only 32v32, no 127 bots + solo player player walking around (64v64), cant join an AI squad so im always litteraly on my own, bots dont use the jets so no point in using that and the AI refuses the fly the helicopter if i want to play as the gunner.
This channel is such a blessing for gamers like me who prefer solo PvE game modes. I'm excited that the bots in BF2042 look pretty fun to play against.
Thank you, I actually love playing PVP games too but I also love playing bots, depending on the mood. And not alot of people upload PVE/bots/AI stuff on TH-cam so I decided to make a channel about it. I think playing bots is underrated, and some people for whatever reason can't comprehend the idea that you can like both PVP & PVE lol.

I hope they'll improve the bots behaviour and make them more agressive. They did great job to overhaul Star wars battlefront 2 AI behaviour. It was pretty awful and boring when it was released first. Then they've changed it too much.

I love this im not a great player and I get very frustrated while playing online so this is nice so if I'm having a bad day online I can jump in and take it out on bots
I’m pretty stoked that bots are back in Battlefield but, do these bots: -heal the player (since 1942) -repair vehicles regardless of who’s controlling (since 1942) -revive players (since 2) -resupply players (since 2) -somewhat follow orders (1942 by F1-9 chat or commander mode in 2/2142)
So, can't confirm if they heal the player but I think I did get revived in the Beta, but they definitely heal themselves and other AI teammates. And I haven't seen or notice the AI repair or resupply, and there are no orders unfortunately.
@@GamePlayer22 i see a video of someone playing in solo and a moment in the video he gets kill and get revived by a teammates and this was not in the beta but after this i didn't see Ai reviving player in the video just one time so i think they can but it's still has bugs
Cool video. Don't worry about your commentary, you did just fine. I just played a couple of rounds of Battlefield 2042 myself against the bots and I do like the gameplay a lot. I do get what one content creator said in that the action feels a bit more like Call of Duty because I got that sense when I was playing. But my main takeaway is that the game is fun. Being online only and I don't know if you were able to get anything working in Battlefield Portal because every time I tried to create and host a server, I kept getting an error message. So all I've been able to do is All Out Warfare.
Im I am looking for the same answers as you, apparently you need an internet connection to log into the game, but if you play solo vs bots seems that the match is emulated on the console as host,I have some evidence but no clear answer

I've heard from other people that they lose pretty much every single time as their own bots are terrible at capping flags. Can you try a match with the bots on the highest difficulty setting?
Hey there, this was on the highest difficulty setting, and I actually played another match after this one and won! Same map, I changed my strategy though and focused on taking out vehicles, the enemy tanks & aircraft really hinder your infantry teammates from capping.
@@GamePlayer22 Oh okay cool. I thought I saw the difficulty at "Beginner" or something at the beginning. I didn't notice you'd changed it. And yes, concentrating on vehicles seems to be the best strategy from what I've seen.

Yes, at least for now, maybe it's a lag because on the box it mentions "1 player". I recommend to wait at least a month, so they will probably fix that

Bots even in beginner mode are op asf, ally bots are entirely useless for anything other than a diversion, basically need to flag to flag in a tank to win, the orders function is useless because they don’t listen to any of them nor bother to revive if you request it, honestly not an enjoyable experience overall unless you’re just xp farming
You can with portal, but there’s a huge problem for this to happen. *You need someone to join you for you to get 128 bots.* You have to enable pvp bots in the ai section of portals btw
@@skl4189 Yes, if you are Solo, there is no chance that they will spawn to 127. The Only thing we can do at the moment aside from waiting is to go to the Forums and tell EA/DICE to better fix that Issue/Bug. Cause that should be a Main Feature for the Next gen Consoles & PC Players.

I think most of the time you'd be able to tell or question that they're bots, but there are few rare moments where it would be hard to tell. I just uploaded a video showing pretty impressive movements by the AI. I think if the AI had player like names, there'd definitely be a few moments when I'd think it's a real player and wouldn't question it. I've came across AI that sprint, and dodging shots by going prone and strafing. But again, moments like that are rare, most of the time you'd know it's an AI, or you'd doubt it's a real player. Overall I think the bots are quite decent! I have a Battlefield 5 Multiplayer Video coming up in a few days and some of the fights looked like bots lol.
It's definitely better now, their movements and accuracy is better, they revive more but still inconsistent and I still just rather respawn. And they still get stuck with vehicles sometimes, like stuck against a pole etc. But overall to me now, they are fun to fight against. On higher difficulties they will challenge you. The only thing is their awkward animations, but the animations in general in this game is a little off.
Priority notice but you know you can set up custom modes and portal to play bots on the portal maps as well you can change the time and how many bots and everything on the portal website
I honestly don't think the base game solo/coop is worth it, at least for long term play. The conquest & Breakthrough modes with bots just has too many annoyances, issues and limitations that seem so fixable but I don't think devs care enough. I think Portal is worth it if you can get the game on sale. Playing RUSH Co-op against AI in Portal is as good as it gets for this game when playing Bots.

Why cant they ever made AI battles fighting in full maps? This is quite lacking since battlefield 2 where AI counts are tiny and the maps are smaller in terms of objectives and such

The Beta bots were soo bad. If they want bots to be easier to new players they should keep it advanced so they're aggressive and engaging. Then they can decrease their damage output to say 0.8 so they have a slower ttk. They'll be aggressive unlike the beta but won't be overpowered that way. The bots in the beta would look at you and decide to not shoot at all for a good 30 seconds. It was pretty bad. I'd rather they be more aggressive and do less damage if they want to balance them for new players Also Portal gives you way more options for bots and game modes. You should test that in the future
There is ZERO offline. Even playing with bots alone requires you to be #1 online and #2 also subscribed to PS Plus and/or Xbox Live. There is ZERO offline!

Mic isn't bad, I would just recommend using a denoise filter for future videos. Most video editors have one.

I play on a last gen so the map size of bots won’t really affect me as much as next gen and pc

Playing non multiplayer with bots fun but adding them on real matches are 💩 games
