I saw that whale shark plush on your story and I spent so long trying to find it online to buy it because I didn't realise you made it lmao - it's so cool I love it

pickles is awesome! u did a good job w your sewing but since u asked for tips-- i would recommend layering or folding the material and cutting identical pattern pieces together to make it easier to keep them aligned. that is more important when the seam allowance is included and/or u are using the outside edge for a guide. but as you freehanded your seam allowance u just stitch on the line. ps. totally been there being overly optimistic and underestimating how much time something would take. but tbh i would have ditched those bookbinding plans about 5 minutes after waking up and gone w an accordion folded brochure. totally admire your ambition.

your work is cute! I went to MICA a long time ago so this vlog makes me nostalgic but also reminded me that art school culture of staying up all night working on projects and spending a boatload of money last minute is kinda toxic tbh. When I first got out of school I was working in exhibitions which also had crazy last minute deadlines and I was way overworked and underpaid, and I wish schools would focus more on trying to cultivate a healthier work/life balance instead of reinforcing that your passions must be huge labor burdens. Anyways, I'm old and rambling lol keep up the great work, it's great to see people like you document their lives in this format!
broo reading your comment scares me bc my passion is art and I'll be going into college soon. I have huge passions but not so great work ethic. I procrastinate a lot and dislike working so idk how imma survive in life 😬
@@strawberrymilkk3116 I'm also extremely lazy! Me personally I was motivated to work just being in an environment like art school where all your peers are also busting their butts. I wouldn't worry too much; even if you don't do well in school theres other ways to live life. My fiance never finished school but he's living comfortably now and we're quite happy 😊

I think my issue is I feel like my work won't be good enough and I won't be creative enough. with that attitude I become despondent, making me lazy :/
Oh! You were looking for minky fabric! Minky is that soft plush fabric baby blankets use. I only know this thanks to fursuit makers but it's very versatile but is incredibly hard to find with longer 'fur' so I can see why you resorted to baby blankets

It would probably be easier if she shared the pattern but it seems pretty easy so you could probably make one since she showed the pattern a bunch in the video. I would totally make one but I already got a whale shark plush that I got at the aquarium in Osaka.

Seam allowance can tug on the fabric when turning it inside out. if you have corners, you should snip a litte triangle out there, so it has the space to stretch. same for curved parts
The gluing of paper reminds me of when in indoor play, we would stick two pieces of scrap paper ( extra paper from printed out maths problems ect) writing sides together to make a plain piece of paper aha
When we were out of white printer paper at home when I was like 4 or something, I would use some extra printouts from my mom (she's a teacher) and glue them together the same wayyy

oh yeah for the fabric finding, i think going to second hand stores like thrift stores could be a good way obtain different kinds of fabrics. it’s winter time too so i bet they will have fluffy fabrics. anyhow i love ur videos!

Next time you need minky fabric and have time to order it i recommend big z fabric! Love them and they have amazing variety in pretty much all common fabrics, mostly minky and faux fur

I’m not Tiffany but I do live in Rhode Island, of course you can apply looking for a graphic design degree. It’s the Rhode Island school of design not painting or drawing. The hard part would be getting accepted it’s a very hard school to get into
