      @@peterwilliamallen1063 Agreed... Manchester is a city trying to run before it can walk. Birmingham is clearly the naturally bigger more spacious city you can see how the buildings and roads are spread out in a way that makes sense.
      When Birmingham does decide to build a couple very tall buildings it will become obvious that Birmingham is the bigger city and will put Manchester back in it's place

      Manchesters isn’t defined to one area either two massive clusters in Greengate/Salford and Deansgate. Manchester has much taller skyscrapers with even taller ones under construction, Birmingham only has a couple of skyscrapers which under construction with none complete and much smaller than the Manchester ones. Manchester has a much superior skyline.

The difference between The City of Manchester with it's 4 high rise buildings they are grouped together where as in Birmingham they are spread all arround the City Centre and if you want to see how superior the Birmingham Sky line is to Manchester, next time you travel down the M^ towards London and pass through Spaggetti Junction take a look at the magnifcent Birmingham Skyline of it's City Centre

      Since when did Manchester become the Second City mate, only in your mind. Only when the population of the City of Manchester goes above 1.5 million citizens will the City of Manchester ever become the second City. At the moment the current population of the City of Manchester is only 580,000 citizens with no room for the City of Manchester to expand and is officialy currently the 6th largest city in the UK, unllike the UK's second City, the City of Birmingham which currently has a population of 1.5 million citizens and has loads of green belt country side on the Sutton Coldfield side of the City to expand. Oh do not mention Greater Manchester as if you google is Greater Manchester a City and the resounding answer is a big NO, the only connection between the City of Manchester and Greater Manchester is the word " MANCHESTER". Thats all

    • @GreaterManchester1
      @GreaterManchester1 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Manchester is now mentioned as the UK’s second city from tourist publications to national and international press. What you are doing is mixing up population stats of the bankrupt Birmingham city council which is in fact no where near 1.5 million and in fact it’s true number is around 900,000 up to 1.1 million depending on which source you believe, like London Manchesters local authorities are split into boroughs such as the city, Salford, Bury, Trafford when people refer to Manchester it’s often Greater Manchester in the same way they refer to London when it’s actually Greater London. If you use your logic of council tax payers to define a city then Birmingham is larger than London, which of course it’s not. Both Birmingham and Manchester are great cities but it’s obvious to see in real terms that Manchester is the current 2nd city in the UK though I feel Manchester title as capital of the North is far more befitting as the leading UK city outside the capital.

    • @OnDroneProductions
      @OnDroneProductions  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      guys guys lets be cool, Manchester is an amazing city not sure about the 2nd city it most likely could be but its a very great city no matter what. As I am from Birmingham my heart will always be at home. But @GreaterManchester1 you will always be welcome here. @perterwilliamallen thanks for your comments too. Feel free to debate but keep the resepect too all of us. @GreaterManchester1 feel free to let me know some good spots to fly in your neck of the wood and thanks for your comments too bro

    • @peterwilliamallen1063
      @peterwilliamallen1063 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GreaterManchester1 Sorry who ever you are but the City of Manchester is never mentioned any where as the Second City or Second largest city of the UK, the City of Manchester due to its population size of only 580,000 is currntly the 6th largest City in the UK and due to the population size of the City of Birmingham being in the region of1.5 million citizens the City of Birmingham is the actual and current second largest and second City of the UK and this was stated by the Commonwealth Games commitee in 2022 when advertsing the 2022 Commonwealth games in Birmingham, plus as you mentioned about Birmingham City Council going bankrupt like a few other Cities have done, on You Tube if you want to put in Birmingham Going Bankrupt it will actually say" Birmingham the UK's second largest City goes Bankrupt" plus the French News Channel " News24" stated the fact that the UK's second City Birmingham has one Bankrupt"". Greater Manchester hich you are rabitting on about is the same as the West Midlands Metro Area which is the same as Greater London and Greater Manchester, and these areas you mention in Greater Manchester such as Salford , Bury, Stockport and Sale etc etc are not Bourghs they are independent Towns and Cities in Greater Manchester and have nothing to do with the City of Manchester what so ever,in the West Midland there are 3 large Cities, Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton then loads of other towns., But you then say refer Manchester as Greater Manchester, well that shows how thick people are in the Greater Manchester area as they are two distict different things and only connected by one word " Manchester", the City of Manchester is just that a City, where as Greater Manchester is a Metropolitan County Council set up in 1974 to look after public transport, roads, fire, police, ambulance and some business in the area, but it is not a CITY and if you Google is Greater Manchester a City the answer comes back as NO, and if tourist companies are wrongly stating Manchester as the second City they also are getting mixed up between the City of Manchester and Greater Manchester and could get done for false advertising.
      So why is the North far befiiting the leading City outside the capital; So what has Birmingham and the West Midlands got to offer the Tourist, well we have Stratford on Avon and Shakespears Birthplace, Warwick Castle, Kenelworth Castle, Iron Bridge Gorge Museum, The West Midland Safari Park, Worcester, Lichfield, Coventry, The Severn Valley Railway, Birmingham famouse Museums and Art Galleries, Birmingham' World Famouse Jewelery Quarter, Cadbury World, The HQ of the Sea Life Centre, The National Exhibition Centre, International Convention Centre and Birmingham Symphoney Hall, More Canals than Venice Birmingham's World Famouse Syphoney Orchestra, the Birmingham Royal Ballet, loads of Theatres and Restaraunts, the largest St Patricks day parrade ouside of London, the only authentic and biggest German Xmas arket in the UK out side of Germany and Austria run by Francfurt City Council, the largest rimark in the World and the World Famouse Bullring/Grand Central shopping Centre, all people thing of Manchester is the ailing Manchester United Football club.
      Your logic about Cities is yes the City of Birmingham is larger than the actual City of London which is only 1 mile square where as the area of the City of Birmingham is 150 miles square in area, but London has always been like that totaly different to the rest of the UK, so no matter what you thnk who ever you are whether you like it or not, the size of a City goes by it's population size full stop and the population of the City of Birmingham is 4 times larger than the City of Manchester and as I said no matter what you think or believe the Second largest City of the UK which is gettig larger is Currently the great City of Birmingham, thats it.
