- Hello Drone Fellows & Welcome back to another long range test video on the channel, So i said earlier in my previous video that i will do a long range test on DJI Mini 3 Pro in my Villege and for that today I bring you guys along on this thrilling journey of 12000 Meters long range test that i did on my DJI Mini 3 Pro on the first day (Saturday) of Eid-Ul-fitar, I wished you guys a happy Eid but i was away from home and the network was not stable there so i am uploading this video today.
In this video i have addressed some of the most important things which can cause battery loss and how to save battery on Dji Mini 3 Pro.
Also i have my Buddy Kashif with me again on test here at the village, thanks to him for always helping me and the channel to provide quality content here for you guys and myself too.
More on the video, I have used and showed RC-N1 controller here along with 47 Minutes Intelligent flight battery for this test.
That's all i have to say here today, Thank you for watching and reading and make sure to like the video and a sub to the channel would be highly appreciated my friend.

DJI Mini 3 Pro Can Go Around The World?! 12KM Range Test
#Dji #Djiglobal #Djimini3pro - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
I think you are a very brave pilot who pushes the mini 3 pro to its limit so we don’t have to. Absolutely brilliant. Thanks.
Great feedback from You My Friend Many Thanks ❤️
Omg can't believe you flew it that far... Just a question, was there a hight restriction where you were flying at???
@@judgejones36 No, there was no height restriction other that 500m that was on default from DJI, Thanks for watching :)
@@FarhaanManan here in the uk we can only go 120m 😯😯😯😯😯
I can only go about 5000 ft and connection drops Alot
I love how calm he is in the middle of a crisis
i lose site for a blink of an eye and its panic stations!
Bro, your vidoes are so much fun! Really enjoy watching them. Please keep making videos.
Your voice is so soothing!! It feels so relaxing to watch your videos!! Love you bro.. you are amazing!!
Thank You for your support, much appreciated 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Doesn't DJI 3 mini pro have a range only 2000m as far as I know!!! Please answer me!!!😭 How did you manage even 12 thousant meters to GO with him!?!? And tell me if he can serve well for observing special units or mortar units!!!😃😉
@@danicao.6778 Hi Danica, Some Dji Mini 3 Pro has range restrictions imposed if bought in a country with strict drone rules, may be that’s why you see 2000 meters max? I found a good location to minimise the signal blockage by climbing the mountain and also observing drone and controller, If you’re still confused, Just ask 😀 Also personally I have not used the mortars and other after market accessories yet but changing them might give Dji Mini 3 Pro a headache
Great video. Thanks for doing this.
Greetings from America! Glad to see you got the Mini back, thanks for the beautiful view of your Countryside 👍
Excellent flight! Great video! Thank you!
Thanks for Your feedback :)
This experiment really a good case studies for those who are not dare to push mini 3 pro the limits!
GREAT .video guys.
Great job! thank you for showing this range and the adjustments to increase height to keep the signal strong and also using the find my drone feature to recover the drone! I am just a beginner at flying my DJI mini 3 drone and love this kind of content. You were lucky that your landing almost ended up in the crops! Derrick from Vancouver, Canada
WoW 🤩
Merci pour ce test 🥰
C’est malade, j’ai adoré ❤️
Thanks so much
Brave man, 12 kms distance, amazing ................. I feel afraid while sending my mini 3 pro drone beyond 2 kms. You guys are brilliant pilots
fantastic test!!!! good recovery! thank you
Many Thanks for watching Johnny Surratt 🤝💯
Great video. It's amazing how capable these small drones are. A very helpful video for us that that just got our drones. Thank you.
Oh wow!! 12 km + come back. It’s amazing. You are the man.
no it did not come back. it was 4.5 km from original take off.. this bloke was following the drone so infact it was pretty poor for distance.
Great job guys
Wow, awesome test Farhaan.
Thank You Justin 💯
Great video thank you man
Glad you enjoyed it
Good job! I like the occasional suspense music! 😊
Thanks so much 🙌
Great video. I’m considering buying a Mini 3 Pro. Your video was very convincing. I think it would have probably mad it all the way back home had you let it return automatically when first warned. But I understand why you didn’t. It would have been interesting to see the light flashing and noise maker in the Find My Drone feature. But seeing how it led you to it was very impressive. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
your not seeing how he done this are you... its very easy to do with any drone... he takes off and the drone registers from its take off point.... while drone is on its way he foolows ina car or on bike etc, so when yo usee this crazy distance, it is not exactly true. its 12 km from its take off point, but NOT 12km from the transmitter.. he follows a long way while its flying towards its target.. it is also why he did not turn back when it said battery low to return home.. he knew it did not need to go back 12km.. he was already 6.5 km closer to the drone when it turned around. so now he only has to fly back 6.5km.. but it only missed by a 100 meters or so....
Good video. Thanks
Wow you are absolutely correct my friend, I just learned that with my mini3 about the auto return home.
That’s the only way to save battery because the drone is a computer and it knows exactly how much power to use & when. So whenever doing range tests it’s a must to allow the drone to return home by itself without touching any buttons.🪫
Thanks for this!!
You are welcome :)
Absolutely fantastic video guys! I watched the first long range test you did a few months ago that was also very good! Keep them coming’ do you have another drone to test?
Glad You Enjoyed and No I don’t have any other drone atm i am looking for a new drone hopefully soon…

I am Glad that it helped :)
WOW😲 You are one brave person!
Thanks So much Rodan for your support 😍
Thank you for this test, good experience👌👍❤️
Brilliant... Range ...
Wow, this is good. I learn something if an emergency landing is needed. So far I’ve been flying in city landscapes. It would be difficult to land it on busy streets and on tall buildings where it would be difficult to retrieve it. So I promptly return with plenty of battery. I have to still experience low battery return. It is excellent to know that these drones can go 1-2 miles, my max.
Sorry it's been a while since a while since I came back, but there's been a lot going on in my life lately. One thing that happened is I got a Mavic 3 Classic and after only having it a week, I was dropping a payload from the drone and the tether that was attached to the payload got caught in the propellers bringing the drone down and completely destroying it. I sold my Mini 3 Pro to purchase that drone so now I'm without a drone. I must say that I do miss my Mini 3 Pro, but I just wanted something larger to be able to handle the strong winds we get around here. I should be able to replace the Mavic 3 Classic this September though so all is good. Now I'm glad to see you brought Kashif, (correct me if I misspelled his name) AKA Yeti back. It's nice to see both of you again. This is another great video my friend.
I found that when I'm pushing battery life during RTH. I try to gradually decrease altitude as I'm returning to home, but I try to keep at least 30 meters above ground for when auto land kicks in.
Happy to see you Back, Thanks for Tip Again, Sorry to hear that you lost your bird, I am thinking of getting myself a new drone too
@@FarhaanManan Very nice to hear from you my friend. The Mini 3 Pro is a great bird, and I couldn't believe how capable it was given it's small size. Even many much larger birds are less capable than it is. My main reason for going with the Mavic 3 Classic was I needed something that could better handle the turbulent winds we get around here. No worries for me, God ha a reason for everything and I plan on replacing it with another Mavic 3 Pro in September. I would consider the newly released Air 3, but since I already have 4 batteries for the Mavic 3 as well as ND filters, a hard case and other accessories, it makes more sense for me to stick with the same model.
What are you thinking of in the way of a new drone? That Air 3 sure seems promising, but if you want a 4/3 Hasselblad sensor with the benefit of an adjustable aperture and 5.1 K capability you may consider the Mavic 3 Classic, it's a bit costly, but not when you consider what you get for that price. Anyway, I'm curious since we're both in a similar position, although for different reasons.
@@thriftysurvivor6117 Mavic 3 Classic is my favourite drone and You are correct here as there is not much price difference between Air3 and Mavic 3 Classic but you get more with the classic, I am also waiting for Dji Mini 4/Pro.
I am thinking September is going to be a big month of DJI 😂
@@FarhaanManan Yes, you're right, waiting til September is probably a good idea. I'm also anxious
to see what DJI comes out with next. Regardless of my plan to order another Mavic 3 Classic, I may also get the next version of Mini, as long as it's reasonably priced. There are advantages to having a sub 250 gram drone. The problem with the Mini 3 Pro is that the plus batteries take it's weight to above 250 grams. It would be nice to see if DJI can manage keeping the Mini 4 under 250 grams while still increasing it's flight time to above what the current standard Mini 3 Pro batteries provide. If they managed that while also making it compatible with the RC 2 controller that would be even better.
Incredable wow good infos thanks
Thanks for watching :)
Also need to lower altitude to find less wind resistance when returning.
Really enjoyed the video. I just have 6 hours on the Mini 3 Pro, really enjoying it!

Brilliant flight range testing, was it in FCC Mode? I only get around 3.5 miles in FCC in the UK. Love the videos, keep them going.
Hello Michelle here FCC mode is used & Thanks so much for watching 🥰
@@FarhaanManan did you use plus battery?
Next time don't return to home just land to some known location. Or send Kashif there before the test to collect the drone safely.
Very very good pilot
Thanks A Lot My Man 🤝
I came back to watch this video again and I never asked you how long it took you to drive from the mountain to where your drone landed here. It's amazing how quickly these drones cover distances. It probably took you 2 t 3 times longer to drive to where the drone landed than it would have taken the drone to cover that same distance if it had made it all the way back. I often fly out to locations which only take the drone about 15 minutes to get to, but it would take me 30 to 45 minutes to drive to that same location. Since the drones don't have to follow roads or stop at lights... they have a huge advantage when it comes to being able to reach a location quickly. Now if there were a straight road that remained straight for 12KM with no lights or stop signs this may not be the case, but as of yet, I've never seen that. I'm sure that with your experience of having to retrieve your drone you already know this, but I just think it's amazing when you think about it.
Absolutely, I understand your points 💯
@@FarhaanManan I knew you would. Keep flying my friend.
What music are you using? Great job on these videos! Super super informative.
Hi bro thank you 🙏🏻 Most of the music i use is from StoryBlocks, They allow it for commercial use but in their subscription.
Wow, you are so brave, just like me 😁
bravo
Thanks so much 😍
Great iniciative by flying to demonstrate how far it can go. Few observation I have is if you had planned a slow accent to maintain signal strength it would have consumed less battery.
Same way on RTH a gradual decent would have saved battery thus giving you a bit more distance to cover.
During such long distance flight At 55 percent battery you need to RTH if you want to complete return to home point.
Very good points there my friend :)
You did well…12km woow
I bought one like it
Soon it will arrive👌👌
Congratulations on purchase and Many Happy Hours of Flying 😎
@@FarhaanManan Thaks for your warm feelings bro🌹
How do you like it? How far have you flown yours?
Nice broooo
😍❤️
Another suggestion, you can also lock the move forward stick to not move side to side and lock the direction to forward movement only in settings, might help direct maximum effort going straight.
I need to set some settings now, Thanks for the Tips Media Bridge 💯 as always!
Around the 20:30 mark, the drone appeared to follow a curved path, but it was actually flying straight back. This was most likely because of a crosswind from the right, which was pushing the drone to the left of the path. The drone therefore maintained a heading to the right of it's path so it could actually fly straight back to it's home point.
I want you to give an opportunity to kashif to sit on drone and enjoy Takh bhae from that height 😜
Keep up the good work.
Let me find a good comfortable chair for him first to place above the drone 😂💯❤️, Thank You for watching :)
thanks for the advice dear😂😂👍
Lesssssgoooooo🎉
😂🤜🏼🤛🏼
It gets a worse signal on the way back because the antennas are in the little feet and when it is coming towards you, they are obstructed by the tilt.
Great Tip My Friend, Thanks for sharing and watching the video:)
@@FarhaanManan thanks, I love your videos. I actually just ordered a mini 3 pro and I'm going to start posting my own videos!
Suggestion. In the DJI Manual, the limits and max battery/flight times they provided are based on testing in photo mode. Im not sure if this makes any difference, but I would try photo mode next time, to see if there is any difference.
And that will be for the standard battery, yes? I noticed this too the flight time was less according to the description but that may be due to the used batteries, I think I have charged 20-25 (Cycles) the battery used in this video but that should not degrade that battery (plus) that much. Also in photo mode the screen gets cropped a little but I wasn’t recording either video or taking photos, I am thinking continuous recording will eat more battery than taking single shots.
Hi Farhaan,, Thanks for maxing out the DJI Mini 3 Pro drone endurance. Enjoyed seeing how far this little thing would fly. Something to consider. I am guessing using as high resolution camera you used was consuming a lot of battery as well. I know you want good quality for your TH-cam videos,, but would be curious how far you could get with the same drone at a low resolution of like 640 x 480 25fps. The video quality settings may not even go that low on these drones.
Aside: I am old enough ,I remember when computers first started getting a graphical interface AKA Windows 95 era,, 640 x 480 was as good as resolution was possible! :) . Am thinking about getting one of these with the controller with built in monitor for convenience. This video may have been the selling point for me to go ahead and purchase one of these.
hello 👋 I will definitely try with low resolution and Fps in one of my video, Thank You for Your comment and watching the videos 🙌

12000 meters going and 7500+ meters back ... not bad for a 19500 meter trip.
Thanks A Lot for Watching NateJ6671
The great thing about using RTH instead of flying back with controller is that you can lower the altitude while flying back. Does lower altitude use less power?
Exactly about RTH & Yes, I think If there is less wind resistance at lower altitudes the drone will not force the props to spin faster to reach 10m/s RTH speed.
Wind was likely causing the drone to yaw, hence the camera view angle.
DJI states that the longest range speed is when flying at 12 m/s. This can only be achieved in the Sports mode, but not the fastest speed available. You might try using that on your way out, & then manually flying back with that same speed.
I will give it a try, Thank you 🙏
Tip: you can change to sport mode on the way back
Thanks for The tip, I note it now
What kind of baterry do you use for have thst much of fly time minuts

in the return flught maybe you were flying With the wind against???
Slightly possibility but less wind against
@@FarhaanManan but why then the dron seems slow in the return?
@@juanchelini5937 I am guessing in the middle of this huge valley type area there was some fast wind against inward and outward both which impacted the total flight.
Are you a drone pilot? I been reading some practice Drone rules and it says the Mini 3 Pro needs blade covers in order to fly above cars and people?
I am a certified drone pilot and for the propellers/blade covers - I would say if you are learning and have least bit of knowledge about controls than you should be careful when on roads and avoid the roads if possible unless you get authorisation and certification.

I am not sure how are you able to go this far. I tested the drone myself and it could only go to 1 KM or 1.5 KM max with RC. There are many other people on youtube who got the same result as me.
Brother the are different Safety certificates for drones in the US for instance there is FCC certification which allows drone to operate at much longer ranges for larger analysis with less interference from other electronic devices then is CE Certification used is EEA which is more environment friendly and has short range and more safety features, Also it depends on the drone flight location if there obstacles in the flight path you will get very short range. The controller for the drones is also main factor, some has weak transmitters than others. In any case an elevated height for the drone flight with no obstruction in flight path will always give you the max range the drone battery can give.
@@FarhaanManan I'm not talking about ceritifcates and restrictions due to regulations. I am talking about losing signal at 1.5Km. I tested mine in the desert in an open area with no electronics around or obstacles.
@@dictatortv- Try with RC Pro Controller, You may get good signals. 1.5KM is very short i guess there might be flight geo restrictions imposed for safety purposes from aviation department. Have you tested altitude too?
