Great video Zed. Mikey's a great carver, a great teacher, and a beautiful person. I've attended spoon "gatherings" where he was present (as a result of seeing your earlier videos), taken workshops he's given, bought his spoons and even drank whisky round a blazing fire. Love the live/immersive experience but we still need these videos. Great close up's and the ability to pinpoint all those things I'd missed at the live event - pause/rewind/aha! Thanks Zed for all your work, thanks Mikey for letting your process be filmed and thanks to the Mayor of Spoontown whose kindness and generosity are legend.

I feel like he was still knackered from hanging round that whiskey blazing fire recently. 😆 I mean english isn't his first language hehe.( good cover. ;) ) I've been in similar states many times and I think he handled himself quite well. Beautiful spoons! Just had a thought: Can bourbon barrel wood be used to carve spoons or does it not work well?

Wow, another true winner Zed. This was so satisfying to watch and listen to. It's not common for me to sit and watch any vids for 1 3/4 hrs. but you have made some of the best and surprisingly my fresh cuppa coffee lasted for the entirety too! Mikey is one talented craftsman and I learned a lot from watching and listening to him, even after 5 yrs of running around with a sloyd! This was a treat Zed so thank you so very much indeed!!! One thing that made me grin from the get-go.....those bare feet! 🤣..............Whittlestix.........

This is a fantastic video Zed! I didn't know Mike before, but it's amazing how good he is with the axe and the knife, and he also seems to be a great teacher. I'll be happy the day my finished spoons look as good as his rough ones. I didn't catch the name of his favourite spoon carver, I think he said Derrick or Derek Anderson but I can't find him online, anyone has a TH-cam or Instagram link? Thanks!
